Recap

“Are you two trying to get killed. They are watching for us to show up and you two baboons decided to take a stroll into the trees right above their compound. Wait one.” I heard the twins talking about a jaguar being in the trees. “I don’t want you two dead and believe me the twins know you are there. They are sending someone to investigate it right now. You two need to get away for now. I’ll call you when we are on our way, okay?”

“Noted.” The phone was hung up without a thank you or anything. I was trying not to feel slighted or worried about them back-stabbing us, but I couldn’t help where my mind was going.

“We need to keep an eye on the Peru cartel leader and his mate. I’m worried they will turn on us as soon as we tell them we are on our way,” I commented, waiting on someone to agree with me.

“Uh, Cat,” Dragon said as he rubbed the back of his neck, then pointed at my computer screen. “Can you trace the call he’s making or hear what he’s saying?”

Cats POV

"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" I yelled as turned back around and pulled my computer closer. I knew there was a reason I had set up all the cartel's phones to be a speakerphone on my end. I typed in the code and turned up the volume.

"Yeah, she thinks we are on her side. I will let you know what's she's up to before they hit you." The cartel leader paused. "You've got this. I'll see what I can do to find where their base is." He paused again. "I'll let you know where it is as soon as I find out." The leader hung up and smiled at his mate, but his mate wasn't smiling back.

The enforcer cleared his throat a few times, rubbing the back of his neck. "This is not a good idea. They will kill us if they find out, and you know she will find out."

"You worry too much. This is my untraceable phone. No one knows I have it and there are no cameras around us because we searched."

His mate shook his head and rubbed his hands down his face. "I will not back this fool plan. I don't want our people to die. You told me we were not going to be doing this before we left. What, do you want the girls, too?"

The leader sighed. "We need someone to bear us pups. They are strong, well, one of them is strong. They will bear us pups and then we will kill them."

"Fucking hell! You assholes will not be touching me or Sophia. You won't be alive long enough to touch anyone!" I yelled out, pissed that someone else wants to rape us and kill us.

"No! I will not do this! We either go back home now or I go by myself! You promised me, Juan," the enforcer yelled, his face completely red.

The leader shook his head. "Go then, but I will do what I told the twins I would do. You don't need to be here for me to take them."

"Goodbye, Juan, I won't be there when you get back. I will not rape these women. I will not kill them either. You are on your own. I hope you don't die, but I highly doubt it," the enforcer stated as he jumped out of the tree and took off in his jaguar form.

"Stupid fucker. He knows when I say something I will do it. I've never failed in my tasks, and I won't do it now," the leader, Juan, mumbled.

"You will this time, bastard," I muttered, pushing my chair back and standing. I had to come up with a plan to take this idiot out. But, there were no options at the moment.

"Well, he had me fooled," Martim said, his arms crossed over his chest and a feral look on his face.

"I was on the fence but was leaning more on the 'he was guilty' side. I don't trust easily and this is why," I told them.

"Uh, Cat, how did you get a program on their phones?" Martim asked the one question I was praying he wouldn't ask.

I looked down and scuffed my boots on the ground. "I may have or may have not gone to the compounds of each cartel and stole their phones for a few minutes. I may have programmed a backdoor in their phones so I could get information or listen in on their phones."

"You did what?" My dad yelled, my mom, trying to pull him back.

"She saved our asses by doing what she did. She's tough enough to have done so. You will not yell at her for doing something we've talked about since they were little," my mom said in a low tone of voice. My mom didn't need to yell to be heard. And, if you heard her use this voice then she was mad as hell.

"She could have been killed. It's the only reason we didn't do it." He looked at me. "And when did you have the time to go to other countries?"

Shit!

"I, uh, went when you were asleep. I used your helicopter -"

"You are not a licensed pilot, Cat-" My dad tried to say.

"-Yes, I am," I stated, crossing my arms over my chest and almost laughing at my dad's face.

"So, anything else you want to yell at our daughter for? She has done what we couldn't or wouldn't do. Madrid has been wanting to get more information on the cartel and now he can. I, for one, am proud of both of my daughters," my mom said, a scowl on her face as she looked at our dad.

"Well, congratulations. Please inform us when you have another plan that could get you killed," our dad sarcastically told Sophia and me as he walked out of the cavern.

Fine

Daddy dearest

"That was stupid and dangerous, but brilliant too. You two will make a fine team. I can't wait to see what the four of you can do." We looked at him in confusion. "Your mates are included. You four work off of each other," Madrid boasted as if we were his brilliant children.

Sophia and I snickered, shaking our heads at our crazy uncle. We sat back down. I wanted to keep an eye on the enforcer. I needed to know if he had really left. Their fight might have been staged but I didn't think so. He looked as he would blow up at any second.

Sophia was looking at the other cameras as I looked on the opposite the other cameras around the docks and beyond. We weren't sure if he would take the boats back to the other side or if he would call for the helicopter if the leader let him get a ride. I wouldn't put it past Juan to deny him the use of the copter. I needed eyes on him to make sure he wasn't faking.

"Got him, Cat," Sophia announced as she pointed to her screen. I leaned over and put him on full screen. I needed to know what he was doing just standing in place. Once I pulled him I noticed he was signing to one of the cameras I had made obvious.

"He says 'I'm not with the leader, but he is going behind your back and making deals with the cartel. If you don't kill him he will take both of you to Peru. I'm sorry he is putting you in this position. I only ask that you make his death quick."

I pulled up the program for the cartel leader's phones and dialed his, making sure to use another one of my wifi connections. I dialed his number and waited for him to pick up his phone.

"Hello," he answered.

"I already know about his plans. I'm sorry you are in a bad position. You also know I can't let him live. You will be in charge of the Peru cartel soon if you want it. Goodbye." I hung up quickly and took out my wifi connector.

"Sophia, we need to keep an eye on him until he's gone, okay?" Sophia nodded her head.

I leaned back and stretched my back muscles. I didn't like to be still for so long. I cramped up and it made my muscles ache. I leaned my neck to the left, cracking it. I leaned to the right and cracked my neck. I pulled my arms over my head and pulled them back as far as they could go, effectively popping my collar bone, my shoulders, and my elbows. I noticed the guys wincing every time something popped.

"You should try it sometime. It helps with the aches," I informed them. Each of them shook their heads no except for Martim. He did the same as I did, popping everything I had popped on my body.

"Wow, you don't know what you are missing, guys. It's as if a chiropractor worked on my body, but without the cost," Martim chirped, a wicked smile on his face.

I laughed at him and shook my head from side to side. My mate was a little crazy - which makes my little bit of crazy scary. I worried about our children when we decided we wanted some. Would they be as crazy as we were or would they be the only sane ones? Okay, I know I'm not clinically crazy but I do crazy stuff.

I pulled my head out of my crazy thoughts. I wondered how my mind went to babies and why. I want kids but after all this mess was over with. I wanted the cartel to be taken out and the bitch. I couldn't forget about her.

I heard a snapping sound in front of me, pulling me out of my dreams of death and destruction. "Are you still in there, Cat? You've been daydreaming for the last hour and none of us could get you to snap out of it. And, what was with the cruel smile of yours?" Martim quickly asked.

"Huh?" I rubbed my hands down my face. "I was dreaming about the death and destruction of the cartel, the twins, and the bitch."

"Cat, you might want to see this," Sophia warned.

I looked at her screen, Sophia bringing it up on the projector. "What the hell is he doing?"
