Project Trouble X Three

Chapter 33 - Thanks For Screwing Up

Hey, oddball and N.Y.O.B. Thanks for all your comments and funny quips. Y'all make my day.

Recap

I shook my head and dug into my meal, Madrid and the rest of the guys joining us. I listened as they talked and heard Sophia’s name come up. I noticed she wasn’t at the table and I wondered where she was at. I flipped the screen on my watch and hacked into our security system, noticing she was eating in a room as she watched something on her phone.

“Uh, I thought Sophia was told to leave her phone somewhere,” I commented.

My dad and Madrid stood up and walked over to me. I shot the screen onto the wall in front of me and turned the sound up, hearing Sophia as she talked. “Yeah, it’s boring here. I just want to go home but no one wants me to. It’s so unfair.” She paused. “Yeah, she’s here somewhere. She’s being annoying. She thinks she is so tough, I mean, who does she think she is? She’s not anyone important but she thinks she is a hot shot.” She paused again. “Oh, I can’t wait to see you again. Yeah, I’m ready to go to the next step with you.”

I quickly pulled up her call log and traced the call back to…”What the actual fuck?”

Cats POV

“What? What is it, Cat?” My mom asked me as I sat dumb-founded. She’s an idiot, a whore, and she’s bringing trouble on our heads. I couldn’t believe how dumb she was. A boy looks at her and she’s ready to drop her panties. Is she that insecure?

I shook my head from my thoughts. “She thinks she’s talking to some boy.” I took a breath and sighed. “But, I traced the call back to the rainforest, the cartel to be exact. If I can trace the call I’m sure they are doing the same thing.” I shook my head as my mom and dad stood up, their chairs falling backwards.

I got up with the rest of the Shadow Cat’s and my brother. I followed my mom and dad to the room she was in still thinking about how much of an idiot my sister was. She was going to bring the whole cartel on our heads. She never thought about her actions, it was as if she didn’t care and thought about no one other than herself. What she was doing was selfish and dangerous.

I watched as my dad grabbed the phone out of her hand and crushed it. “What the hell do you think you are doing?” My dad yelled. “You were talking to someone in the cartel and now they can trace your phone! Why, Sophia? Are you trying to get us all killed?”

“What? He’s not from the cartel. I met him at school and he’s nice,” Sophia said as she crossed her arms and pouted.

"Sophia?” Madrid called, knowing I would know what to do. I was glad I had saved my screen. I pulled up the screen and showed where the phone was and where it was now.

“She’s lying. She probably set up the screen shot to get me into trouble,” Sophia spat out as she glared at me.

I glared at her and pulled up where the man’s phone was at the moment, showing her. “He’s in the rainforest and this.” I pointed at the wall. “Is his location. Madrid, am I right?” Madrid nodded.

“What’s his name?” Martim asked as pulled me into his arms. I knew he was trying to calm me down, but I was so pissed it wasn’t working.

“His name is Manuel Gonzolous,” she answered.

Martim pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. “He’s in the cartel. He is nasty to women. He rapes them and hurts them while he is raping them. He loves blades and has been known to cut the woman he’s with as he rapes them. He is the lowest of the low. But, he can be charming. He has long brown hair, brown eyes. He’s about six-foot tall and looks like a teenager.”

Sophia’s face paled and she started shaking. “I didn’t know. He was so kind to me and he wanted to be my boyfriend.” She started crying. “He was so nice.”

I shook my head and walked off. I was tired of her leading the cartel to us. I was tired of her crying, of her pouting, of her acting as if she was a true princess. She was not a princess, she was a warrior - a warrior who didn’t want to fight, but now she would have to. Our bunker was blown and we had to bug out again.

The Shadow Cat’s came back out. Everyone was shaking their heads. I could tell the men were pissed and ready to throttle her. Hell, I was right behind them. I wanted to knock some sense into her, but I knew it wouldn’t make a difference.

Madrid and my dad walked around the corner, my mother following them. “Now what do we do?” Madrid asked, my mom smiling at me.

“Uh, I know a place. I had the guys do another bunker, sorry,” I quietly said as I looked Madrid in the eyes, a smirk appearing on my face when Madrid started to smile..

“Thank you, Cat. You’re one step ahead of all of us,” Madrid said as my mom and dad nodded their heads, a big smile on their faces.

“We need to bug out. Again.” My dad sighed. “Cat, can you show me where the bunker is? We need to split apart.” I nodded my head and brought up a map with the bunker circled. I told him the code and the safety steps to get in. I didn’t want him to blow himself up.

“Is there another way out of here?” Dragon yelled from the security room. We walked into the security room and looked at the cameras.

Great

Just fucking fantastic

The bunker was surrounded and we were stuck inside, so everyone thought. “Dad, did you make another way out for us?” I asked.

“No, I thought they wouldn’t have been able to find this bunker,” my dad answered as he sighed.

“Well,” I trailed off as the guys looked over at me. “I made sure they put a tunnel in this bunker too.”

My dad picked me up and squeezed the shit out of me. “Thank you, Cat.” He put me down and all the guys started hugging me too. “Let’s get our stuff and go. I’ll go get Sophia.” My dad sighed again and stalked off. He brought Sophia back and showed her the camera as Martim pinpointed the guy out.

Sophia didn’t say anything, she just stared at the camera, tears running down her face. She saw that I was looking at her and snarled at me. I raised an eyebrow and snarled back. She took a step back and whimpered. I shook my head and walked over to my rucksack, grabbing more weapons and bullets out of our weapons vault. I wanted to be armed to the teeth and more. I knew our fight with the cartel was going to be brutal.

I walked over to the med cabinet and grabbed a first aid kit, adding more bandages and stop patches, patches that would clot the blood floor instantly. I looked in the mini fridge and grabbed bottle of pain medicine, antibiotics and needles, stuffing them in temperature controlled back, one that was army green.

“Oh, good, I was about to get the med kit and pack it,” Doc said as he put everything in his rucksack, ruffling up my hair in between his packing. Good thing I wasn’t like Sophia or Doc would have seen a fit. I didn’t care what my hair looked like as long as it was out of my face.

I walked out of the vault, lifting my rucksack and throwing it on my back, making sure I had all my weapons on my body. I walked by a crying Sophia and didn’t stop. She didn’t want me to talk to her at the moment. What was I going to say to her?

Thanks for screwing up.

Again.

“Sophia!” My mom yelled. “Get your shit and get ready to bug out.” She paused. “And, stop your crying now!” Sophia got up and ran to the room she was in before. She came back with her rucksack and stood against the wall. I noticed she had washed her face and her tears had dried up, making me think she was fake crying to get attention.

I walked by her and stopped. “Faker,” I hissed. I turned to everyone. “Everyone ready to follow me?” They all nodded as Sophia huffed.

“Stop, Sophia! It’s because of your actions we are having to leave now. I hope you are ready to huff it for another hundred or so miles,” my mom ordered as Sophia’s eyes widened at the miles.

“But-”

“No!” Was all my mom yelled as I walked to the pantry. I pulled up my security screen and typed in the code. I scanned my eye and finger on my screen and the door clicked open.

“Woah,” Tesso breathed out

I laughed and walked through, disabling all the security measures, everyone following me. I made sure to set the security back in the tunnels we passed. I was glad I had made the tunnels. I still had some surprises left, but I wouldn’t say anything until we needed them. Madrid didn’t know how much I had changed some of his plans, hell, at the time I didn’t know why I changed some of them and added others. I was just glad I did.

“So...

A/N Yeah, I did it again. I'm sorry, really. This was the best place to stop this chapter.
