Chapter 50 - Abort
I wanted to cheer but I was interrupted as a man ran out of the forest with his gun up.
I came up out of the floor of the forest and threw my blade, hitting him square between the eyes. He fell and didn’t move again. I grabbed his weapons, attaching them to the bullet-proof vest I had on. The vests had a lot of places for weapons and I wondered if my mate had designed them. I walked over and grabbed my blade, pulling hard. I guess I threw it harder than I thought. I pulled the blade, cleaning it on the man’s shirt, recognizing him as the third in command.
I climbed back up into the trees. I was on one that was a couple back from where the men were. I wasn’t sure why I did but it felt right. I sat and watched the men take out a butt load of men. I felt as if they were being watched and I couldn’t pinpoint where the feeling was coming from. I started to panic. My hands started to sweat as my whole body tried to shut down on me. I didn’t like it and I knew I had to calm down so that I could help the men. I settled myself, taking breaths through my nose and letting them out of my mouth, slow and easy until I centered myself again. I couldn’t let my senses be clouded. It was something I was taught by Antonio and it always helped.
I looked around slowly, scanning around the boys and myself. When I felt the pull in one direction. I don’t know why I always felt a pulling but I was always glad I did. I stopped scanning when my eyes went over a section of trees. I slowly went back over the area until I found one of the monsters men getting ready to pull the trigger on a high powered rifle. I leaned out and threw my blade hitting his sight and breaking the glass. The man turned in my direction and started firing as I leapt down to the ground and moved behind a tree. When the firing stopped I waited. The man was trying to flush me out but I wasn’t that idiotic. I knew his tricks as if they were my own. The only thing different was Antonio didn’t teach them as much as he taught me.
I waited for a count of two-hundred and threw a branch I had tied a piece of my shirt to. He started firing at the branch as I leaned out and threw my blade, hitting him in the forehead. He quit firing and dropped to the ground. I knew he wasn’t dead, meaning his heart hadn’t stopped beating, but he was brain dead. I didn’t feel bad about my actions. I didn’t think about them. I wanted to take out their shooter, insuring the safety of our team. I quickly and quietly ran over to him, grabbing his rifle and ammunition, finding a nine millimeter in his side pocket. I threw the rifle and gun to Digger, getting a nod of thanks from him.
We faded back into the trees, behind the trees or in the ground. We were all squinting, looking carefully around us. We sat for almost an hour before the fuckers finally showed up.
“Come on, Ricardo, we are the last ones out here. We are going to get our asses handed to us if we don’t,” a man complained.
Ricardo was panting, trying to catch his breath. He staggered and threw up. “What the hell is that?” He asked pointing to the body I had castrated. “His junk is gone - everything.” He threw up again.
“What the hell is this shit?” The man screamed.
I jumped down from the tree, landing quietly. I walked around them and looked at the body. “You don’t like my handy work? I thought it was great.”
“You, crazy bitch! I can’t wait until I’m your husband,” the man screamed.
Matheus exploded out of the ground, jumping clear over their heads and landed beside me. “I don’t think she wants any of you, right, honey?” He leaned over and kissed me.
I shook my head, rolling my eyes at both of our antics. Ricardo and the other ass tried to grab me. “I jumped up into the limb above their head, kicking both of the fuckers in the chest. I motioned with my hand for Matheus to take the kill. I stood back and watched him as he stabbed them in the heart. I nodded my head and waited for Matheus to call the other men to us.
I was startled when the radio went off in my ear. I held up my hand for quiet. The men got quiet, listening to what was being said on my radio.
“Ricardo and Ben, get your fat asses to the compound! Right now! I promise I will make your life a living hell if you’re here in ten minutes!” Barbosa yelled as he growled.
I looked to Madrid, raising an eyebrow and signing about answering. He nodded his head as I keyed the mic. “Ricardo and Ben are busy right now. Oh, who am I kidding. Ricardo and Ben will not be making it in ten minutes...or forever, not unless you can bring them from hell. You should be familiar with hell.”
Barbosa growled. “Who is this? I promise I will kill you myself.”
