Chapter 45 The cold man was finally concerned by others
"Since that, you still thought like this, you just stay here." After Sarah left, she went to the hospital in the evening. "You saved the beauty and hurt yourself. It's terrible!"
Joshua laughed at Jacob.
"Say less than you should." He had already told Joshua what he couldn't say.
Jacob did not pay attention to Joshua's gags and drank the medicine in the evening.
"Is my brother very handsome?" Joshua pointed to Jacob and made an ugly face at his back.
Sarah could not help bending her lips. His friend was quite interesting.
"However, I tell you that Jacob is famous for his handsome. But he is far away from women. Guess why?"
Facing Joshua's teasing, Sarah shook her head, "why?"
"Because he kept his integrity, and refused all girls for his future girlfriend in advance."
Sarah nodded.
"However, this is also the first time that I have seen Jacob suffer such serious injuries." Joshua lowered his voice, and the atmosphere became much depressed.
"I'm sorry for what happened to him this time."
Sarah breathed a sigh of relief, which made her eyes sour.
"That's fine. There are few people who Jacob is willing to save. I'm afraid if I were in that case, Jacob would have abandoned me."
Joshua fell into a reverie and sighed.
"That will not be. After all, you are his brother."
Joshua was his lifelong friend. How can Jacob turn a blind eye to his death?
Joshua was silent again, staring at her with straight eyes. "Congratulations, Miss Sarah, you may be cared about by someone!"
These words like small stones thrown into Sarah's calm heart lake made waves.
"Joshua, don't be so wordy!"
Behind him, Jacob glared at Joshua with a sullen face and interrupted his endless chatter.
Sarah restrained her strange mood and took a look at the time. "Then please take care of him these days. Jacob, I have something to do with the construction site in these two days and come back to see you another day." "OK." Jacob waved his hand and let Sarah take care of herself.
After a few days, Jacob was approved to go home for rest.
Before leaving, Sarah specially called Brandon to check on Jacob again.
When the two men meet, it's hard to avoid the secret surge of confrontation between them.
Brandon, holding a stethoscope, stood beside Jacob's bed and said softly, "Please Raise your hand."
Jacob obeyed.
"Jacob, let him check your body. We'll leave the hospital and go back if there's no problem."
Sarah stood aside. Suddenly, she felt dizzy and fell against the door panel. Joshua, who was beside her, held him fast.
"Miss Sarah, what's wrong with you? 'Joshua asked.
Sarah stood firm and shook her head. "I'm fine."
Brandon put down the stethoscope and glanced at Sarah when hearing their conversation.
"Miss Sarah, what's wrong?" Jacob looked at Sarah with a gloomy look.
Sarah waved his hand. "I've been running to the construction site for a few days. So I may feel uncomfortable from overwork. It's not a big problem." "Nothing's wrong with Mr. Jacob. Let's go. I'll take you to check it first."
Brandon involuntarily walked up to Sarah and pulled her arm out.
Only Joshua and Jacob were left in the ward. The air around them was inexplicably oppressive.
After confirming that Dr. Brandon left with Sarah, Joshua approached Jacob and asked, "Who's the doctor? I felt that Miss Sarah was familiar with him."
"They are good friends," Jacob said coldly.
Joshua frowned, stretched out his finger, and shook it back and forth. "Even friends of the opposite sex have a certain sense of boundaries. Dr. Brandon is very special to Miss Sarah." How could Jacob not know that Brandon's being "unusual"?
Joshua warned. "I warn you, if you don't pursue Miss Sarah, you'll leave an opportunity for other men!"
Jacob didn't say anything and looked out of the door.
The constant stagnation of the relationship will only make Sarah far away from him.
In the Examination Room.
Sarah was forced by Brandon to check her body on the inspection instrument. Brandon waited for the result.
He knew Sarah's health best, frowning at the medical data.
"How is it?" Seeing Brandon's expression, Sarah felt uneasy.
"Have you run out of medicine?" Brandon asked.
"There's not much left. I'm sticking to taking medicine every day." Sarah was afraid of doing something wrong and explained. Brandon's expression slightly changed. "New drugs from abroad will be sent soon. You must not be too tired."
"New drugs? Will they be better than before?"
Sarah raised her eyebrows and glared at Brandon with bright eyes, hoping to receive a good answer.
"I can't give you a certain answer, but as long as there is even a glimmer of hope for your life, we will have a try."
Brandon put Sarah's report on his desk.

Sarah took a look at the time. It's been 72 hours. As long as Megan didn't recognize her crime, the police had nothing to do with insufficient evidence.
How could she forget this?
With a long sigh, she sighed, "This is probably fate!"
"What?" Brandon, who has finished sorting out the cases, said suspiciously.
"Nothing. I'll go back to Jacob first."
"Go."
After returning to the ward, Jacob hurriedly asked, "How are you?"
Sarah shrugged her shoulders. "I'm just too tired and stressed these days. Nothing special. Has Mr. Joshua gone to discharge you?"
"Yes." Jacob said again: "Don't be too tired." He restrained himself from speaking that he'll feel sorry for her.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of myself."
Half an hour later, Joshua completed discharge procedures and they went home.
Now Jacob can walk, so Joshua left. Sarah can take care of Jacob.
On that day, Sarah and Brian, Jones's special assistant, made an appointment to talk about the progress of the project.
"Miss Sarah, it's been a long time since I saw you. I've asked the leader for instructions. This time, we should take responsibility for this accident together. I can't blame you." Brian went straight to convey the important instructions given by his superiors to Sarah.
Sarah's eyes flashed an unexpected look of joy. "I don't know what to say. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Nobody wants the accident to happen, right?" Brian spread out his hands and talked warmly, which dispelled Sarah's concern.
After the two chatted for a while, Sarah proposed to go to the shopping mall above the cafe.
"Let me accompany you?" Brian got up and paid the bill for the coffee.
Sarah hesitated for a moment, glanced at Brian's height, and nodded.
