Princess Comeback

Chapter 42 Touched her heart

"President, please wipe the rain." Brian sat in the driver's seat and handed Jacob a clean towel.

Jacob took it, wiping the rain off his body, and asked, "What's going on in Dover?"

"Mr. old Jones was furious because you didn't go to Joseph's birthday party. In addition, they didn't know about your purchase of the land in Raleigh for the time being."

"Well, keep it secret," said Jacob, who received the document from Brian, which was the development planning contract for the land in Raleigh. "These land plots need to be developed quickly. Time is tight, and the task is heavy. Follow the plan I wrote."

"I understand." Brian nodded, then suddenly remembered something and told him: "But... It seemed that your father and mother had already known about Miss Sarah."

"How did they know?" Jacob frowned and looked cold.

"Joseph told." Brian didn't want to speak ill of people behind their backs, but it was true.

"OK, I see."

Then Jacob returned to the hotel.

The rain was coming violently as if to wash the spring and usher in summer.

The next day, when Sarah and Jacob set out, it was sunny.

She glanced at the logistics information on her mobile phone and smiled.

At the same time, the doorbell of Davis's house kept ringing early in the morning.

When the servants were on holiday, there was only Megan at home. She went to open the door.

"Excuse me, is this Ms. Megan's home? There's her express."

The courier was standing at the door with a square box in his hand.

Megan nodded lightly, "I am Megan."

She signed her signature and opened the box. "It's estimated that my imported facial mask has arrived."

The contents were tightly wrapped in black gauze.

The moment she lifted the veil, her face suddenly changed--

"Ah!"

It's her father's last photo!

"Who is playing tricks!"

She glanced at the delivery note, which had no signature or address.

Thinking of someone, she called and the other party answered quickly, "Sarah, are you crazy?"

Sarah lifted her lips and smiled softly. His voice was melodious. "Are you afraid of it? This is just the beginning."

"You!"

The next second, Sarah hung up the phone and didn't give Megan any chance to talk too much. Looking at the approaching Raleigh toll station, Sarah felt that the city was strange.

Jacob in the driver's seat said, "Today is the day to go to the land Jones Enterprise will develop."

Hearing this, Sarah remembered the appointment she made with Brian last week. "I forgot. We're going to the west of the city. Let's go directly to the land."

The piece of land was located in the west of the city, facing the sea. The fishermen of Raleigh have lived here for generations.

The plan given by Davis Enterprise was to build this place into a resort with coastal scenery, which can also drive the fishermen here to develop their industries.

This plan has won unanimous praise from local fishermen.

The car drove into the construction site and stopped in a relatively open place.

At this time, the workers had just started to work. Soon, the busy machinery sounds on the site were heard intermittently, and the weather was gradually getting hot and dry. Boris, who was in charge of the construction site, came to see them with a flattering smile.

"Are you director Miss Sarah?"

Sarah was a little surprised. "Do you know me?"

"Yes, you took this case so I know you." Boris smiled and explained.

Sarah ignored his flirtation and glanced around the construction site. A strong aroma of rice wine was faintly floating in the air.

She frowned slightly and sniffed carefully. "Where's the smell of rice wine?"

Boris's heart sank and he couldn't answer.

"Go to get two hard hats. We'll go and have a look." Jacob said faintly.

"OK." Boris immediately went to the plank house to get hats.

"Why do you keep him away?" Sarah frowned unhappily.

"This man was drinking wine at first sight. If you scold and quit him now, he will only resist you."

Sarah sniffed at this, "He drinks wine at work, what should I do if something bad happens?"

The safety of the construction site was the top priority. If there was a problem, everyone couldn't bear it.

"At least he spoke to you soberly, which showed that they didn't drink too much. It's the busiest time now. If you make people nervous, something will happen." While talking, Boris brought hard hats, and they put them on and walked in.

The resort was divided into eight parts, each of which was a two-story villa, standing next to the sea. When the window was opened, you can see the endless ocean.

When they strolled along the first floor to the second floor, Boris said that there was something to deal with for him, and only they were left at the scene.

Sarah stood in front of the French window on the second floor. The window here has not been installed, only the frame. The loud sound of machine operation echoed around. Hearing this for a long time, Sarah felt a headache. Sarah frowned and raised her hand to cover her ears.

Suddenly, Jacob turned to Sarah's figure and his pupil contracted.

"Miss Sarah, be careful!"

Sarah, covering her ears, seemed to hear Jacob's voice from the noisy machinery. She turned around and looked back.

A cluster of sand was scattered in front of her. She looked up and found a hole in the ceiling.

A roof hung in the air and shook.

Sarah seemed lost for a moment and could not hear Jacob's call.

Suddenly.

She could feel that she was pushed back, and she staggered a few steps and fell to the ground.

A stuffy hum came from her ears, which quickly revived her.

Sarah cried out.

She forcefully moved the cement plate that was pressing Jacob.

"Jacob, why are you so stupid!"

The cement board seemed to be against her, and she could not push it away.

"Come on, help me!"

Her heart was filled with fear and was about to jump out of her chest.

When the workers heard the sound, they ran over and saw the men on the ground.

"What are you waiting for? Help me!"

"Come on! One, two, three..."

Everyone worked together to push away the cement plate.

The man's checks were dripping with blood, flowing outward along the hard hat, and his pale face looked terrible.

Sarah's tears burst to creep all over her cheeks.

"You'll be OK! I won't let you be in danger. The ambulance will arrive soon!"

Sarah spoke the same sentence repeatedly and wished the ambulance would show up the next second.

"Don't cry. I'm fine. I have to protect you."

The corner of Jacob's lips lifted with effort.

Sarah shook her head. "It's all my fault!"

At this moment, her heart was given a sharp blow.

When the ambulance came, the people stepped aside one after another to lead the medical staff up.

The scene was chaotic, and the medical staff carried him on a stretcher. Blood continuously overflowed from the waist.

Sarah tightly held Jacob's hands. Looking at Jacob's gradually closing eyes, she repeatedly shook her head.

"The patient can't sleep. Call the patient!"
