Chapter 28 Take care of him
"Miss Davis, please take it. Then we subordinate can complete the task." Seeing her entanglement, the assistant urged.
It seemed that she could not shirk it. She reached out and took it. "Then thank him for me."
She got off the car and saw the car leave.
Turning to look up, she found Jacob standing at the door, wearing the pajamas he wore in the morning, looking tired and waiting for her.
The light above the eaves covered him, adding a sense of loneliness.
Sarah held the packing box in his hand and glanced at Jacob, who was wearing thin clothes. "Aren't you cold? Go in quickly."
Jacob followed her and went home.
In the kitchen, Sarah operates the stove greenly.
"How are you feeling now?" She suddenly thought of his illness and asked with concern.
He said lightly, "I felt much better."
"Just wait for me at home."
Sarah washed the kitchen utensils and sterilized the dishes and chopsticks. Meanwhile, the microwave oven was warming up the dinner she had brought back. She did all by herself, but her movements seemed flustered.
She seemed to be absent-minded.
On the bar, there was the jewelry box she had just left casually as if it had been deliberately put aside.
"How's the dance tonight?" He sat down and said quietly.
Sarah shrugged her shoulders, "I met several business elders. They were my father's friends."
"I wanted to meet Mr. Jones."
Wearing gloves, she took out the plate from the microwave oven and put it on the table.
"Did you see him last? What about the gift?"
"Of course not," Sarah shrugged regretfully. "President asked his assistant to give me the necklace, saying it was compensation." She threw the box on the bar as soon as she came back.
Doesn't she like this necklace?
Jacob stopped talking and buried his head in eating.
"Eat more." Sarah has been adding food to Jacob with clean chopsticks. "Enough, Miss Davis." Jacob looked at the dishes stacked in the bowl. She seldom cared about me. Is it because he was ill? Or other reasons? "Why don't you eat it? Is it not to your taste?"
"Miss Davis, why did you suddenly treat me so well?" Jacob couldn't hold back his doubts for a moment.
Sarah's answer was not what he wanted to hear.
"Because you are sick, you need to be taken care of."
"Is it that simple?"
"Sure." Sarah felt that there was nothing wrong with what she said, but Jacob kept staring at her, which made her feel a little embarrassed. "It's good for your health to eat all these."
Hearing the words, Jacob's eyes flashed for a moment. In his memories, Sarah had been so kind to him during his childhood. He mumbled, "Thank you."
It is very good to get along with her like this.
The next day, Sarah and Jacob went to the company together. They directly parked the car in the open parking lot.
"Miss Davis, the weather is so fine today. You should go out more." Jacob looked up at the blue sky and suggested to the point.
Sarah hated shopping the most. She frowned and said, "Isn't it good to enjoy the air conditioner in the office?"
Listening to her lazy tone, Jacob smiled helplessly.
"However, the proposal can be used as a reference."
When they were talking, they were about to reach the entrance of the hall. A cart carrying large boxes came from the side. The people in the cart could not see what happened in front of them and did not notice that someone was passing by. "Be careful." Jacob following Sarah quickly pulled her back with her collar.

Sarah stumbled and leaned against his soft and solid chest. A cart in front of them slowly passed by.
She was relieved and looked up at Jacob. "Thank you."
Not far away, a burning line of sight caught a glimpse of their movements, and Emily's hand with the bag moved slightly.
Walking in, Sarah raised his lips. "Morning."
Emily has adjusted her mood, showing a smile and nodding, "Good morning, Miss Davis."
"Come on, let's go," Sarah said in a light voice.
When the elevator went up, Jacob suddenly coughed in the quiet space.
Sarah looked over with concern. "Do you take any medicine at home?"
"No."
Sarah glanced at Jacob and said nothing more.
In the corner, Emily's eyelids tremble slightly.
After the elevator stopped, Sarah went to her office alone.
As soon as she entered the door, a large handful of charming red roses first fell into her eyes.
Then, a phone call came on her cell phone, and she answered, "who is this?"
"Miss Davis, have you received the fragrant roses?" From the other end of the phone came a man's voice with low voice.
Listening to the tone of voice, Sarah matched the voice in her mind.
"This gentleman seems to be in an aesthetic mood, but this trick is out of date."
After saying this, she hung up the phone directly.
Inside, the phone bell continued to ring in her ear again like a talisman.
She couldn't bear it any longer, and then she answered the phone coldly, "Don't call me anymore!"
There was a momentary silence as if the other side was shocked by the coldness.
For a long time, the other side gently tried to say.

At the other end of the phone was Daniel's weak voice.
Sarah breathed a sigh of relief and apologized coldly. "I'm sorry, I just had a call. What's wrong with calling now?"
"Tyler has traded with another person, which is equivalent to indirectly buying your land from Tyler."
Sarah thought it was shocking. Was that man stupid?
"Go to find out who this person is and tell me the result."
At the same time, downstairs, Jacob was sitting in the car to deal with business. His assistant called. "President, Tyler's equity has become yours."
"Haven't Joseph left Raleigh yet?" Jacob has recently asked his assistant to monitor Joseph's activities.
As long as Joseph stayed in Raleigh for one day, he could not settle down.
"He played with some young men in the nightclub last night. Now he's in the hotel." The assistant told him.
"By the way, President, a few days ago, he ordered many roses and sent them to Davis' company."
Combined with the flowers in Sarah's office today, he had guessed it.
"Send an anonymous copy of his pictures of drunkenness to Grandpa."
"All right, president."
After Jacob finished ordering, he quickly closed the phone, and another mobile phone rang. There was a message that you go off work early tonight and have dinner with department members. All the employees of Sarah's department went to the party.
Sarah didn't know about it, but her colleagues reminded her.
After taking the public's advice, they chose a club where they could sing and drink, and there was also a small hot pot to eat.
"Just order what you want today."
Sarah's softness and friendliness have been deeply felt by these colleagues, who also readily accepted her presence. "Miss Davis, it's not interesting to only drink today. Why don't we play a game of truth or dare?"
