Chapter 124 The culprit
"Wait a minute." Sarah raised her hand to keep a distance between them.
She took her cell phone out of her bag, but she couldn't turn it on.
"No electricity?" Jacob grabbed Sarah's mobile phone and held it in his hand.
"Before my mobile phone is charged, you are still on trial. Who knows if you have sent me a message?"
This was the only reason Sarah could find.
At the same time, she was relieved that at least the man was not Jacob.
Jacob smiled when he saw the blush on Sarah's face, "OK, my respected lady, would you like to let me give you a ride?"
The next second, he picked up Sarah and walked to the elevator.
"Jacob, let me down. It's not good to be seen by others."
Sarah struggled, but it was useless. The man did not care about his image.
Because it was too late, Sarah didn't want to return to her cottage, which was just the same as Jacob's idea.
"I'm afraid you'll get tired after driving too long. Don't think more about it!" Sarah turned sideways and glared at the man with warning eyes.
The man shrugged innocently, "It's not good for Miss Sarah to make a wild guess. I'm a good young man who obeys the law."
"You still talk back!" Sarah deliberately pinched the man's nose.
The man frowned painfully, and couldn't help saying, 'Oh!'.
Instead of going to Jacob's hotel, they drove directly into the underground garage of Neriah's senior apartment in Raleigh.
"Did you buy a house?" Sarah looked at him in amazement.
"I bought it for a lady. Is it sweet?" Jacob smiled at Sarah softly.
"Is Mr. Jacob flirting with a woman from a good family?" Sarah softened her eyebrows and raised her lips.
"A woman from a good family? Miss Sarah, I didn't say you were a woman from a good family. I said, my girlfriend."
Jacob's tone was full of bantering.
After the car was parked, Jacob and Sarah entered the apartment. It was a large flat. The decoration was luxurious, and it was very comfortable.
"I remember that this is also the industry of Jones's real estate?"
"Yes, this place has been built for a long time," Jacob said proudly, "You take a rest first, and I'll cook a snack."
The man turned and went into the kitchen to prepare a snack.
Looking at the busy figure of the man in the kitchen, Sarah felt sweet.
But thinking of the problem that they haven't solved, she felt that she couldn't let the problem affect her dining enjoyment, so she entered the kitchen. "Why are you here?"
Seeing Sarah appear at the kitchen door, Jacob subconsciously wanted to drive her away.
Sarah didn't leave and said, "Let's talk about tonight."
Jacob had no intention of concealing it. He told her all the things that happened after he left her at noon.
"I sent you a message before I went there, but you should have been busy at that time and didn't reply."
Sarah then remembered her forgotten mobile phone, "I'll recharge the phone. Where is the cable?"
"In my briefcase." Jacob relaxed when he saw her look at ease.
Sarah went to the living room to search for his briefcase, opened it, and when looking for the cable, her hand touched a velvet brocade box.
She glanced casually, took out the cable, and closed the briefcase.
Sarah charged her mobile phone and then turns it on.

Sure enough, there were several messages from Jacob.
"It seems that I wronged you. I don't know you are still an SMS maniac."
When they first met, Jacob did not know how to send short messages.
Sarah sighed and felt a sense of guilt.
"I don't mind," Jacob's voice came from the kitchen with a faint smile. "At least you are willing to believe me."
"So, you not only didn't go to the hotel but also found a reporter to expose it?" Sarah put down her mobile phone and walked into the kitchen.
The man responded, "What I didn't expect was that you called the police."
Fortunately, he was not the man inside.
When mentioning this, Sarah smiled shamefully.
"Ashley has to be in prison for a few days now."
Jacob had already cooked a bowl of noodles, "Have you figured out how to deal with this?"
"Public opinion effect?" Sarah snorted scornfully. "For me, these are nothing."
"Tell me if you need my help."
Jacob brought the bowl to the table, handed it to Sarah, and signaled her to sit down to eat.
When she smelled the delicious food, Sarah's stomach purred.
"I'm so hungry. I'm not in the mood to eat because of you at night." Sarah grumbles coyly.
"Then eat quickly," Jacob said, putting a piece of chicken in her bowl.
At the Police Station.

"Dear, how are you?"
"Mom!" Ashley cried and threw herself into Megan's arms.
Megan felt distressed when she saw her daughter.
"Ashley, what's the matter with you?"
"Mom, I was wrong. I shouldn't make my own decisions!" Ashley cried.
"I should be blamed for all this. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have encountered these troubles." Megan blamed herself.
If she hadn't told Ashley about Jacob's identity, her daughter wouldn't have done so carelessly.
"Mom, it's none of your business. It's all Sarah's fault! If it wasn't for Sarah, I wouldn't be in this situation."
Ashley gnashed her teeth when she thought of Sarah who called the police and said she was whoring. "Let's go home."
Megan ignored all around and took Ashley away.
After getting in the car, Megan told her that she faked that Ashley was mentally ill, so she was released on bail. Otherwise, she couldn't be released. "Why?" Ashley wondered.
"Sarah made petty actions." Megan snorted.
Ashley fell into silence.
In her mind, Jacob's cold eyes kept coming to her.
Could it be Jacob who did these?
