Pregnant And Rejected Omega

Chapter Happy Memories

Stefan

I look at Samuel, and he seems cheery, so things must have gone well on his trip. I can hope, anyway.

“Come on, Earl Samuel, this is taking forever,” I complain, and he laughs.

“I’m sorry, Your Majesty. The people are completely cleared of magic, and his sister is none the wiser. Magic was used and she didn’t know a thing, so she isn’t a risk,” he explains.

“Their father?” I ask.

“His body is there, so he was certainly dead, and it was all Wayne. The pack has a new alpha, one who isn’t connected to Wayne’s family and such. So it’s sorted,” he explains, and I relax more.

We had thought we had sorted everything, but only two months someone attacked, and it turned out Wayne had yet another brother we didn’t know of. So now we know everything and are sure no one else is coming for Harlyn. I can relax.

“How has Lucy been?” He looks at me.

“Fine, she and Harlyn have spent most of their time together. Go see her. We can get a full breakdown in a few days,” I say and watch as he nods and walks out.

Standing, I follow as I know Lucy will be with Harlyn. As we entered the room, it was confirmed I was right.

Lucy looks up and rushes to Samuel, hugging him. It’s only been four days, so I fight back the laughter. I walk around them and go to Harlyn. She briefly looks from Adela to me.

Sitting next to her, I wrap my arms around her body. “You’re mine soon, so be ready to say goodnight to her.” I smile and take Adela from her hands. “Go get ready; once you are, you can say goodnight.” I kiss her cheek. “Oh, and take Lucy with you; Samuel has plans for them, so make sure she gets ready and doesn’t avoid it,” I say, and we both laugh.

I watch as she drags Lucy away with her. Samuel walks over and sits beside me. I look from him to Julian.

“Who is watching Julian for the night?” I ask.

“He’s going to be with my mother and triplets. Shall I take them with me?” He looks at me.

“No, I will take them over once Harlyn says goodnight to them so she doesn’t insist on going around there before we leave,” I explain, and he laughs before walking off.

It was amazing watching Harlyn’s stomach grow and her give birth to Adela, but I also hate it, purely because it reminds me of what I missed before. It’s even worse that I saw how tired she had become towards the end of this pregnancy, and I know she was still searching for a place to live with the triplets.

She had no help, struggled to find somewhere, and was travelling despite the exhaustion she felt. This is something I could have fixed had I just thought, or at least considered, that it was Harlyn that night.

“Do I need to repeat your father’s words about how guilt can kill a man?” My mother says, and I smile. It’s hard not to feel guilty, especially watching Adela and knowing I wasn’t there last time.

“Daddy,” Lotta shouts and runs to me. She moves and climbs onto my knee as I move Adela slightly to give her space.

“I’m fine, Mother,” I say while smiling. She opens her mouth to argue, but a maid appears.

“Your Grace,” she curtseys. The queen is asking for you with Princess Lucy,” the maid says.

I watch my mother nod and walk away, saved by my queen, I laugh slightly. “Do you want to help get her ready for bed?” I look at Lotta, and she nods. I’m happy, I have my family, I have Harlyn someone I didn’t think I would be allowed to accept.

She makes the perfect queen. She’s not just the kingdom’s queen. She’s my queen.

Harlyn

I look down at the dress. It’s beautiful. It has an off-shoulder sweet heart neckline, and the glitter makes it sparkle under most light. Today marks a year since Stefan proposed, and we claimed each other.

After that night, I found out I was pregnant, but I was happy; I knew that Stefan would have been there for me to help, and he was.

Kissing Adela, I say goodnight and leave her behind. I had already said goodnight to the triplets before Stefan asked a maid to take them to my mother.

A lot has happened in the year. I’m close to my father, and even now, he’s still riddled with the guilt caused by his abuse towards me. He doesn’t look like a man on borrowed time however.

Within five days of Stefan proposing, we married, and I hadn’t even considered much of it until after I realised I had become the queen. Me, the queen, which I was so sure would never happen as I wasn’t seen as worthy.

Walking out, Stefan is waiting for me. He guides me into the car, and I look at him.

“We’re having a night out away from the palace,” he explains, and I nod, smiling. It’s rare I leave the palace grounds. Soon after, we walk into a restaurant.

The hostess curtseys. “Your Majesties’ we have your space for you,” she says and guides us through sitting down I feel myself relaxing. It’s nice to get out of the palace. The meal passed quickly as we sat and talked, and I forgot how much I enjoyed space.

I’ve always had maids and guards close by; this is the first time in months I haven’t had that. Now, however, I have a plan. I smile at Stefan.

“I was speaking with Lucy, and we were discussing some things,” I say, and he nods.

“Which things?” he asks.

“Well, she wants to have another baby and thinks it would be better if I also had one around the same time so she is alone,” I explain and watch as he chokes on his drink.

I try not to laugh and fail.

“That’s not funny, and what is wrong with my sister? Julian is only four months old.” He sits shocked, and I continue to laugh.

“I apologise. It was her idea to joke about it.” Leaning forward, I kiss him. He stands and guides me out, sitting in the car I lean against him.

I’m happy. It’s crazy to think that just over a year ago, everything was a mess, as right now, life feels perfect.
