Reyna

Few days later Reyna stood in front of the mirror dressing. She pulled her brown uniform top over her head and did the buttons. Then she dragged her pants to her hips, and made quick work of putting her brown hair into a high ponytail. She slipped her feet into her boots and got out of the room into the hallway. She stopped at Nana's door, which was next to hers. After she gave her permission for Reyna to enter the room, she did.

Reyna kissed her on the cheek and said goodbye. She doesn't want her to wait for her, wondering where she is and when she will be back. Now that she has finally finished her training.

Sabrina has taken over the time the girls used to train with Mary, for the roses training sessions. Today she's going to teach them something new.

They had after all finished reading the books she's given them. There was excitement in Reyna's every step, it's been days since she'd seen him! The beast. The Dhakkuth warrior.

Ever since the first day she'd gone together with Cassandra and the women, Cassandra hasn't agreed to let Reyna see him again.

She had told Reyna that she was protecting her. And didn't want him to hurt Reyna like he did, she thought Reyna was afraid of him. Which is somewhat true. If Reyna's to be honest, she's not just afraid of him, he terrifies her.

But there's also something else there. Something in him that calls to her, in a way she'd never in her life experience.

Whenever Reyna thinks of him, she feels strange things, her heart beats would increase faster. She would feel fluttering in her stomach like a thousand butterflies were in flight.

Her palms got so sweaty, the urge to see him was just too great for her to ignore. So Reyna decided she's going to sneak in and see him. She knows he's been moved to the dungeon where he's been interrogated.

Cassandra thinks they are not alone, she thinks they are only here to spy, and then inform their leader of their defenses and weaknesses. Reyna has tried convincing her to let her be there while he's been interrogated, but she refuses, as Reyna has no other options.

She decided to see him without her mother's knowledge. It's the only way she could get him to answer some of her questions.

There are some things that she wants to know,and information is not forthcoming. Reyna can't be in the dark forever,she can't be sheltered forever. Even now that she's about to join the sisterhood, she's being left in the dark,while she has found out that there are three kingdoms.

Nobody wants to answer her questions regarding them,even the girls knows more than she did. The books she has been reading were informative and titillating, but they only talk about sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, and felatio. These are things Reyna has never seen before, except for the woman's body.

The body parts of men the books spoke about she and the girls have never seen, nor can they identify which is which.

“Yes?” She questioned guiltily, because Reyna wasn't really paying attention to what Sabrina was saying, her mind was elsewhere.

Sabrina wasn't offended, she rather looked amused, her eyes laughing at Reyna. Reyna flushed red, and tried to concentrate on what Sabrina was asking.

Reyna remembered the book. It was the biggest book among the books they were given to read.

It also had so many pages that deprived her of sleep for two days in a row. She had to beg Sabrina to break the rules for her, so she could take it home and read it in the comfort of her bed. Sabrina didn't let Reyna go with it, instead she agreed to let her sleep in the underground room and read it. Reyna did and Sabrina also spent the night with Reyna in the room that night.

Reyna also remembers that for all the effort she put into reading that book. She only understands a little. At first the book was really easy and simple, talking about how to control or distract the mind with the body but it got deeper.

Reyna didn't understand the words that followed because at that stage the book had gotten too complicated and boring. In the few seconds it took Reyna to remember all this, Sabrina moved on to further light the candles until the room was brightly lit. Then she turned a serious face at Reyna and the girls.

“Remove your clothes girls.” Reyna took a few cautious steps back, because the only time she's ever heard 'Remove your clothes' was when she had done something and she was owed a punishment.

“Wh...why?” Reyna stuttered,a little panic, while she had been beaten several times. It was years ago. Reyna hasn't been punished for anything in years except for the last year, and the phantom pains she remembered does not make her eager to get naked and vulnerable in front of anyone.

Sabrina realizes this. She and the other girls who had already started peeling their clothes off stare at her with pity.

“It's not what you think Reyna, this is part of the training, this is to get you to be as comfortable with your nakedness as you possibly can. Because there are instances where you would have to be naked as a Rose so you can use your body to your advantage. I will instruct and explain everything during the training, okay? Now remove your clothes."

Sabrina said with understanding, Reyna felt ashamed, for giving away so much, but was also relieved that it wasn't what she had thought.

She took off her clothes slowly, conscious of the scars on her back. Reyna's not ashamed of Sabrina and the girls seeing the scars, with her Nana's help she'd embraced her body the way it is.

Her Nana had told her a scar is a sign of strength and endurance, that Reyna didn't do anything wrong to deserve them, but now that they were a part of her, part of who she was. She should never feel that she's less because of it.

That what's inside is what really matters. She thought Reyna was strong and beautiful, and Reyna believed in her. She loves every single part of her, even the flawed, scarred parts.

And the light brown hair Cassandra dislikes, saying it's dull and not all how a Williams should look.

And this wasn't the first time the girls had seen her scars, after all they'd shared a shower in the training grounds bathroom. She folded her clothes neatly and straightened up.

Reyna was average height, with curves in all the right places. Her body is trimmed and built with slight muscles, because of the training. Although Reyna thinks she could do without the added fat in her thighs, they are thick and her breasts are a little extra.
