Baby be still, momma's here don't cry

I'll cradle you in my arms until your eyes are dry

Your heart is mine, mine beats to yours

My love goes on, from seas to shores

Darling be still, you run too much.

You might trip and fall, drop your sippy cup

Your knees will get scraped and I don't want you hurt

Now go play with your dolls and stay out of the dirt

From morning to night, it's a daily routine

Get with the chores, make sure your room's clean

Focus on your homework and not on boys

Be still my love, don't listen to the noise

"I want a life now, without a doubt

I want to see what this world is all about

The money, the parties, the places to go

I'm living free now, so what do you know?"

Honey be still, you're moving so fast

You're only in college, don't let life pass

Can you stop and focus on your family now

In this life I've given you, that God has allowed

...Your faith is tested in the moment to brace

She lays there in pain, you can tell by her face

You try to be strong, can't show her you're weak

Please keep me still, I shout and pray

You turn to God when there's no other way

You plead and promise, you tell him to wait

You try to get right before it's too late

I scream and cry, take me instead

So many regrets, too much to dread

Hope is gone as tears hit the bed

The battle is over, but she's not dead...
