Chapter Prologue
Dark Star
A dark star arises
Counterfeit light
Bane of Nexus
Galaxy’s fright
Conquers swiftly
As a bird of prey
None can hinder
Our darkest day
Capitals falling
Escalating war
Never satisfied
Destroying more
Save us Sky Man
We cannot fight
Liberate us
Shine your light

A huge sea ship bobbed in the Deep Sea. Two men looked out from the towering lookout mast. The sea was swelling strangely. It felt like a great disturbance under the surface was pushing the water up and away.
“Look!” said the first, “Can you see it?”
“Yes,” said the second in awe.
On the horizon, it seemed as if a large moon was rising. A great semicircle appeared from the surface of the water. They watched it loom larger until a fourth of a complete circle was showing.
The ship rocked violently as a huge wave tossed it. The waves battered them for several moments then started fading.
The first man turned to his companion. “We did it Jopp.”
“Aye, Captain Dread. Let’s go get aboard.”
“Not you.” Dread replied.
“What do you…?”
A large darkly robed figure approached behind Captain Dread. It spoke in a hissing voice. “Because you do not believe you must die. Your fear blinds you.”
Joppa recoiled and began to protest. The figure stepped into the light. It had a reptilian face with glowing red eyes. It pointed at Jopp. He began to writhe in agony and then his body exploded in flames.
“Zen-La-Shon, shall we take possession of the orb?” Dread asked.
The alien lizard answered, “Of course, it is the will of the Great Dragon.”
