Chapter 88
Chapter 88 Confrontation
Grace pulled Logan Morgan aside. "Darling, are you mistaken? Lisa has been dead for over twenty years."
Logan Morgan was still in a daze. Yes, he had left Lisa alone to go to Europe, and soon he heard that Lisa had passed away. Lisa was dead.
"You two look so alike," Logan Morgan cleared his throat twice, trying to cover up his momentary lapse, "Sorry, I mistook you for someone else."
He took a deep breath, composed himself, and approached Emily. "Miss, my son really likes this room, so I've decided to dine here. Since there are only two of you, you can go to the lobby." "Can't two people use the private room?"
Emily had originally planned to lead Mr. Satan upstairs, but upon seeing Carol and Sophia, she instantly understood that the middle-aged man in front of her was Sophia's stepfather. With such domineering behavior, no wonder he had a son like Herry.
Her gaze swept coldly over Sophia, followed by Carol, and she sneered, "Sorry, I arrived here first. I haven't finished my meal yet. You can wait in the lobby until we finish eating." Carol hadn't expected to encounter Emily here today.
She was trying her best to hide Nathan's marital history, especially his ex-wife!
She sternly ordered, "Emily, get out of here now!"
"I'm not leaving," Emily sat down directly in her seat. "Waiter, could you please bring me a menu? I'd like to order."
The waiter was a bit taken aback. She couldn't understand why Emily, who had been so easygoing just now, suddenly changed like a different person.
She hesitated and handed the menu over. "Are you ordering now?"
"Yes, right now," Emily took the menu, her expression stern. "Also, please have these rude people leave. This is my private room."
The waiter could only nod. "Please leave. After all, this room was reserved by this gentleman and lady. They haven't finished their meal yet..."
"Who are you calling rude?" Sophia shouted, "Emily, you're the uneducated one!"
"Yes, I don't have a college degree, but at least I won't seduce my own brother-in-law."
Sophia didn't expect Emily to say such words. She was momentarily at a loss for words and feared angering Nathan. "You..."
"Did I say something wrong?" Emily sneered, "Sophia, I won't provoke you, but if you insist on provoking me, then I'll make sure you know the consequences."
Sophia was furious. "Emily, What do you say?"
"All right, all right," Grace intervened with a smile, "We're all family here, it's just a little misunderstanding, no need to argue. Emily, let me introduce you. This is my husband, and this is our son, Herry. Herry, this is your sister." Herry spat at Emily directly. "This ugly duckling doesn't deserve to be my sister!"
"Herry!" Grace frowned. "You can't be so rude. Apologize to her quickly."
"I won't! I didn't do anything wrong! The ugly duckling threw my basketball and scolded me, I won't apologize!"
Herry began to yell. Grace let him cry out one sentence after another, completely unwilling to stop him.
Herry was Logan Morgan's only son. He had been spoiled since childhood.
Emily could force Sophia into silence, but she couldn't deal with Herry.
Logan Morgan shouted sternly, "No apology! Why should Herry apologize? Is she even worth it?"
The atmosphere became icy.
The waiter was also at a loss. Everybody's tough to deal with. She feared the child might smash up this room too.
"Don't be angry..."
Emily glanced at her and handed back the menu. "Let's start with a steak set meal. You leave first and don't come back." The waiter nodded immediately. "Okay, okay, I'll go inform the kitchen..." "Wait-"
Mr. Satan, who had been silent all along, sat behind Emily, his eyes flashing with a hint of light. "Just bring all the dishes on the menu."
The waiter was taken aback. "But..."
"Is this a problem?"
"No, no, no, it's ok, but... our hotel has hundreds of dishes. Can you finish them all?"
"Don't worry," Mr. Satan said, "My girlfriend is pregnant. She'll eat whatever she likes, and if she doesn't like it, she'll leave it here for them to eat. They seem to want to dine here, so they shouldn't mind eating our leftovers."
Logan Morgan's face changed.
When had he ever been humiliated like this?
"How dare you speak like that?"
Mr. Satan sneered. "I always thought a person should have basic
manners, but meeting you todel net
completely changed my mind."
Logan Morgan's gaze faltered. "What do you mean?"
Mr. Satan smirked coldly. "Am I wrong, Mr. Morgan?" Clang-
The chair beside Emily's feet fell to the ground.
She had intended to sit down and wait for the food, but upon hearing the name "Morgan," she couldn't remain calm anymore. Morgan... was he her father?
But how could he marry Grace and have a son?
He had abandoned her and her daughter just to marry Sophia's mother?
