Pampered by Billionaires after Being Betrayed

Chapter 66

Chapter 66 You're Threatening Me

"Let her go!"

Nathan had somehow appeared outside the obstetrics and gynecology department.

Sophia's operating room was far from here. Shouldn't he be there and guard her? How did he end up here?

Emily pushed against Mr. Satan, signaling him to let her go.

But Mr. Satan showed no intention of releasing her. Instead, he held her tighter, clearly indicating possession. Nathan's gaze changed instantly, a hint of tension between the two men.

Emily struggled, but couldn't break free from his grip. She could only let him hold her. "Let's go."

"No, you can't leave!" Nathan rushed up, blocking Mr. Satan's path, sneering, "Emily, you're still my wife, yet you're carrying another man's child. You think you can just walk away like this?"

His voice was loud, immediately drawing the attention of many around.

Outside the obstetrics and gynecology department, there were many pregnant women and their family members waiting for consultations. Their noise had quieted down, and all eyes were now on her, making Emily uncomfortable. She frowned and whispered, "Nathan, this is a hospital. If you want to cause a scene, do it outside and stop bothering others!"

Nathan's gaze was icy. "Go and have the child aborted."

"That's impossible."

"Go and abort it! Your uncle almost caused Sophia to miscarry, and she's still in danger. I've already called the police; they should have caught him by now. If you don't abort the child, I'll make sure your uncle goes to jail!"

Emily was shocked and pushed Mr. Satan away from her, jumping down from his arms. "What did you say?!"

"I said abort the b.astard child in your belly!" Nathan moved to grab her.

But Mr. Satan was faster. He shook off Nathan's hand, shielding Emily behind him. "Nathan, are you looking for trouble?"

"What business is it of yours if I talk to my wife? Emily is my wife, who do you think you are? Are you l.usting after my wife? Aren't you a wanted criminal? The police will be here soon to arrest you!"

"Nathan!" Emily growled softly. "If you have time to cause a scene here, why don't you go check on Sophia?"

"She's still waiting for a blood transfusion, isn't she? You said you'd donate blood to save her baby. Why aren't you donating now?"

Just as she was about to speak, Mr. Satan interrupted her. "Emily, let me handle this."

"But you..."

"It's okay." Mr. Satan helped her stand firmly, wrapping his arm around her and shielding her from the surrounding crowd. He stood tall, calm and composed, but his words carried weight. "Nathan, the reasons for your divorce with Emily are clear in your heart. You know very well how she was driven out of the house by you and your mother, leaving her homeless. If you don't agree to divorce, you would go to court. But you also need to understand that once this matter enters legal proceedings, half of your post-marital property must be given to Emily. Are you willing? I advise you not to cause trouble for yourself, or else I'm willing to fight you to the end."

Nathan listened silently, gritting his teeth.

He understood in his heart that Emily's current attitude clearly indicated she wanted a divorce. Even if she had a new man and was pregnant, he was the one who had an affair with Sophia. In a court ruling, it might lean more towards Emily in terms of post-marital property distribution.

He just said those things to scare her, to make her comply. He didn't expect this man to be so difficult to deal with.

Nathan gnashed his teeth in anger. "Emily and I won't divorce. I don't mind her having an abortion, I'll live with her well, and we won't divorce."

"So, you're going to help me raise my son?" Mr. Satan sneered, chuckling softly. "Since when did you become so kind-hearted?"

"Shut up! You're just trying to sow discord between me and Emily! Emily, I've already told you today. I've cut ties with Sophia, and we're starting over. I won't care about anything between you and this man, as long as you come back to me." Emily leaned on Mr. Satan's arm, feeling utterly foolish.

How blind had she been four years ago to hope for Nathan to come back?

Nathan didn't want to divide his own assets. He wanted to use the safety of her uncle to threaten her. If she compromised and aborted the child, would he still kick her out again, just like before?

She had fallen for such schemes once, but she wouldn't fall for them a second time.

"Forget it. Let's give each other

some face. It's not good for anyone to lay everything out in the open like this," Emily said. "Rest assured, as long as you proceed with the divorce proceedings as soon as possible, won't take a single cent of your assets. What you do with Sophia is your business, and your future relationship status has nothing to do with me. I promised to donate blood to save her child, but now I'm

pregnant too. I want to save her, but not at the cost of my own child."

Nathan smirked ruthlessly. "If you don't donate blood, Sophia's child will die, and your uncle won't ever get out of prison."

"Nathan..."

"Emily, I've been talking nicely to you and begging you to come back. If you don't listen to me, then don't blame me for being ruthless. If you want to save your uncle, then listen to me, abort the child, and come back to me." "Nathan, are you threatening me?!"

"I have no choice. You're just too stubborn. I just want you to come back."

Mr. Satan suddenly chuckled. "Well then, if that's the case, I might as well pay a visit to the New York Stock Exchange Inspectorate tomorrow."

Nathan's face immediately darkened. "What do you mean?"

"The Reed Group manipulated stock prices in private, causing countless investors to lose everything, and several even committed suicide because of it. You made a lot of money. Have you ever thought about how those people who lost their money because of you?" His words were like a bombshell.

There was a major turmoil in Reed

Group's stocks five years ago,

causing losses for most investors in New York City. Although it caused a big uproar at the time, Nathan managed to silence the protesters with money, leaving only other investors to bear the bitter

consequences.

This incident was widely known throughout New York.

As soon as he spoke, the onlookers gasped. "So Reed Group's stocks were manipulated? My family lost over a hundred thousand dollars back then, which I earned from 20 years of work! Do you have any conscience left?"
