Chapter 51
Pampered By Billionaires After Being Betrayed
Chapter 51 What's Your Relationship?
Jackson's words were like a bomb, instantly blowing Emily's rationality away.
"You..." Emily looked at him in disbelief.
Jackson smirked, his gaze roaming over her disheveled appearance. "What about me?"
"We are not the kind of relationship Nathan said at all, why would you admit it?" Emily exclaimed.
"It wasn't before," Jackson wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "but it is now."
Nathan watched Jackson and Emily intimately, his eyes almost spewing fire!
Emily was disheveled, and he wasn't in a good state either.
His shirt was twisted and his face bore two blood marks, clearly scratched by a woman's nails.
He touched his face and indeed found blood on his fingertips.
"Jackson, let me tell you, Emily and I have been married for four years, she's no longer a virgin. I heard that you have a serious obsession with cleanliness, don't you care that she's not a virgin?" Nathan's words were quite harsh.
Emily gritted her teeth and glared at him, "I've told you, Jackson and I don't have the kind of relationship you imagine!"
Jackson held her hand firmly in his palm, "I'm your next boyfriend."
Emily was astonished, "Are you out of your mind?"
"I've never been normal," Jackson smirked coldly at Nathan, "Yes, I do have a serious obsession with cleanliness. But you see, I'm a car designer, also considered an artist. My thoughts are not something a fool like you can fathom. I like her for who she is, regardless of her profession or marital history."
With that, Jackson's expression turned cold, and he forcefully pushed Emily into his car.
He had a different car today, not the yellow sports car from last time, but a navy blue SUV, just as arrogant and domineering as he was.
Emily instinctively resisted, unwilling to get into the car. "Boss, you don't need to do this."
"Don't try to persuade me, I'll take responsibility for this," Jackson replied impatiently.
Emily persisted, "Thank you for saving me, but could you please delay him here for a while? The bus stop isn't far ahead, I can take the bus..." Jackson grew impatient, frowning as he urged her, "Get in the car."
"No, boss, please don't force me. If I go with you today, who knows what rumors will spread? How will we face each other at work in the future?" "Emily, this is the last time I'm saying it. Get in the car."
Perhaps his words were too intimidating, Emily gritted her teeth and finally got into Jackson's car.
However, she didn't sit in the front passenger seat but went straight to the back seat.
Jackson frowned at her disapproval, while Emily curled up into a small ball, refusing to meet his eyes.
Nathan watched coldly, mocking Jackson's attitude. "Looks like Emily isn't too keen on admitting your boyfriend status either. Why ruin my family? I've had four years of relationship with Emily, she only had arguments with me. When we make up, how will you deal with it?" Jackson didn't even bother to respond to him, he just got into the car and drove away.
As the car passed by Nathan, Jackson rolled down the window, his gaze behind sunglasses cold and distant. "Emily won't go back. Even if she softens, I won't allow it. That's it, we're taking the first step."
The window was rolled up, blocking their view.
The navy blue SUV quickly left the current road, swallowed by the flow of traffic.
The recent farce attracted quite a
crowd. Some took photos, e
whispered to each other, and someone even recognized Nathan and started tweeting.
Nathan gritted his teeth in frustration, got into his car, and drove off in the opposite direction.
As he waited at a red light, he noticed that Emily had left her handbag in his car.
Examining it, he found various documents inside. She really had prepared thoroughly for the divorce. Nathan chuckled coldly and kept the handbag.
...
The atmosphere in the car was tense.
Jackson lowered the air conditioning, making Emily shiver, but she dared not speak another word.
Jackson was her boss and also Allen Parker's brother. If she truly had a future with Mr. Satan, they would be relatives.
The situation was so complex.
Emily couldn't help but sigh.
"Explain," Jackson suddenly spoke after a long silence.
"Huh?" Emily was taken aback.
Jackson adjusted the rearview mirror to see Emily in the back seat clearly. "What's going on between you and Nathan?"
Emily sucked in a breath, biting her lip. "Isn't marriage a personal matter? Can't I keep it to myself?"
"No," Jackson refused bluntly.
Having seen Jackson's unreasonable side before, Emily didn't find his current attitude surprising.
Despite being brothers, Jackson and Mr. Satan had vastly different temperaments, even to the point of being extremes.
Mr. Satan would be careful to cater to her emotions, never treating her like this.
Seeing Emily's silence, Jackson pressed on, "I saved you today, you owe me an explanation. Otherwise, how should I respond if reporters ask?"
"He didn't say anything wrong," Emily
confessed, "We haven't completed the divorce yet. We were supposed to submit the divorce papers together today, but he backed out."
Jackson pursed his lips, feeling a weight in his heart.
"Why are you divorcing?"
"He cheated on me and got the other woman pregnant."
"Who is she? A movie star? A model?"
Emily smiled bitterly. "It's... my sister."
The clichéd plot of a brother-in-law cheating with his wife's sister had become a reality for her. Emily even felt that her life was more melodramatic than a TV show.
Jackson's focus was rather peculiar. He furrowed his brow. "Is your sister prettier than you?"
