Chapter 53
(Jennifer POV)
After the feudal was over everyone had returned back to the palace. Me and my friends had started packing as there was no way we were going to stay here after the great show. A cab was arranged for us by Catherine to the airport after we requested her for an early depart.
Soon we were ready to depart. There was silence everywhere just like the day we had arrived here. “Oh! I forgot my phone in the room.”
“I will bring it.” Making my way back to Crystal’s room I scanned every nook and corner of the place as I had a memory with every possible thing present here. For example the floor on which I might have slipped a thousand times or the tables on which I would have bumped even though their places aren’t even changed. While reminiscing every moment I bumped against someone. Looking forward, I was met by the King himself in the way. I bowed in front of him “Your highness.” Yes its a rule in this world to bow in front of the royals. He had a blank face on, but it looked like a huge volcano was erupting in his eyes.
“I hope you may have received the invitation for the wedding Ms. Meredith.” Saying that or more like slapping that in my face he left me alone standing in the hallways. If noticed this was the very first time he had properly talked to me. Composing myself I made my way to Crystals room.
When I returned back my friends were no longer standing there alone. They had Jay, Jacqueline, Victor, Hazel, Drew and Diana accompanying them. Something very serious was being discussed. When I reached near them, the discussion was brought to a sudden stop. “Well it’s time to say goodbyes now.”
“You can’t leave.” This was said by Drew. He really got used to ordering me around.
“There’s no reason left to stay. The competition is over”
“It was called feuding and no, you have received the invitation to the Royal Wedding, haven’t you?”
“Yes?”
“So you must know that you have to attend the Royal Wedding, leaving would be going against the rules and hence severe action would be taken.”
“God don’t you seriously love me anymore. Why meee?”
“He never actually started loving you it was all a misunderstanding this whole while.” Saying that we all were once again dragged inside with our luggages and dumped in our respective rooms.
Somehow I had made myself fall asleep even when I knew that the person I had fallen for was going to marry someone else. My sleep was very harshly broken by noises. Making my way towards the door I attached my ears to it.What? If there’s trouble outside atleast I wouldn’t be the one in it’s way.
Screaming was heard. With a deep breathe I opened the door. People were running everywhere. Me being me, I ran in the opposite direction from where the people were coming. At the end of the hall I saw all the hyenas standing more like freezed in their places.
“Is there a kitty party held without me?” Noone answered me.Rude.On closer look they all looked oddly pale. Reaching near I saw what they all were looking at.
Yes now I knew. God surely didn’t love me.
