Chapter 41
I was too dumbfounded to even speak a word. There it was, my whole family standing in front of me. My dad was glaring towards the Alpha King, my mom was glaring towards me and my sister was busy shoving her chest between the debutantes who weren’t even glancing towards her. Damn it was going to be a hell. By the time of dinner, everyone was seated down in their allotted seats where three more extra chairs were added to the table for my family.
“Mrs. Meredith whose side does your daughter take from? Because the way she behaves, it doesn’t look like she takes from any of you.” The Luna bitch really had a sudden urge to know about me today.
“Oh she takes the side of her dead mother, who passed away because of some infection.” My friends looked tensed but weren’t able to say anything. Meanwhile I was just trying to remind myself that murder in public was not allowed, it would cost me a huge time in dungeon.
“Oh really, obviously humans are always this weak. One small infection and they are gone. Did you came to know what kind of infection it was?” By now all the eyes had turned towards me. The smug eyes of hyenas, the sympathetically eyes of the Beta king and queen, the Gamma king and queen and the Royal Advisors king and queen and the emotionless eyes of the King.
“Just a mere humanly fever.” There was a very loud noise heard across the room. A glass breaking. In my hands. Blood was flowing but I wasn’t feeling any pain. If there would be anyone who wasn’t paying attention to me was now turned towards me.
Rising from my seat I make my way towards the King, reaching near him, I bow near his legs. Shock was the expression written on his face. Not only him, but the whole room.
“Your highness, can I be granted the permission to depart earlier?” He still look shocked, but he nodded his head in approval. I left the room without another word.
(Day 14)
(Justine Pov)
The day of the second level of feuding was here. Once again chaos was seen everywhere. Jennifer hadn’t shown her face after last night. She had locked herself inside her room and refused to see anyone including her friends. She even denied to meet the us royals even after Drew threatened her to throw away every material of chocolate out of the palace to Byron’s protests.
By evening atlast Crystal received a message from Jennifer to be in her room. We were relieved to know about her being atleast alive and not finding a dead body instead.
(Crystal POV)
Entering in her room I let my eyes wander around the room. It was dark as Jennifer hadn’t lit the lights yet. Everything was scattered on the floor. Drops of blood were seen here and there. And there she was. The idiot was seating infront of the mirror “What’s wrong with you? Are you planning to make a haunted film without casting us in it?” And that’s when my eyes really casted on her.
She was broken. No not the emotionally broken. The physically broken. Bruises covered her body, scratches here and there, a black eye and a cut lip. She was very badly beaten up. I felt my tears dropping just after seeing her in this condition. The most heartbreaking thing was that she had a blank face. It was the real her. The one she hides from the world. There she was the girl, whom we all were afraid of.
Blank face, dead eyes, no soul, nothing. Just a body to see. “Can you help me hiding this?′ came the empty voice. This was always the real her. Not giving a damn about anything.
“Are you out of your damn fucking mind?”
“Can you help me hiding this?” Once again questioned the same empty voice.
“Jen are you seriously not going to stop this? Don’t you think they don’t deserve you. You don’t deserve this my love.”
“Can you help me hiding this?” I did it. Controlling my mouth and tears I transformed her into the girl she actually shows the world. Soon she was ready to show her presence in the hall.
Once again as the fake person behind whom she hides. “How can you think? Will my haunted film work without you guys acting in it?” She winked towards me and made her way. But before she could enter in
“What we have here. A slut on display.”
