Chapter 4
The very own father of mine was the sole reason for the death of the werewolves. The only thing flashed here was that, the history was being repeated once again. Humans were back to the methods they once used to show themselves prior to others, but this time by killing them directly instead of separating them from their homes. And this time my father was included in this ploy.
Just by thinking about the conclusion gave me a flashback of those eyes. The eyes which ruled my nightmares. His eyes. The only thing which always guilted me down to my knees. Which ate my consciences from inside. Before I could think much the sound of footsteps echoed around the room. My very first reflex was to off the lights, so the person would not be suspicious about my presence. Looking around I came across a bunch of boxes being filled across the racks. Moving them a little I was able to create a space enough for a 5.2 creature to be fitted and hidden well. When I was sure I was hidden well behind the boxes, my gaze strayed to tubes packed inside them. The boxes weren’t packed yet, but they definitely looked like soon to be packed and sent to be on their merry way. I read the names printed on the labels of the tubes and was shocked to discover that, it was the very name everyone out there had been calling the virus. After making sure that there was enough quantity of the tubes, so that noone would be suspicious about one tube being missing, I slipped one of the tubes in my hoodie pocket. I adjusted the boxes so I would be able to see what’s going in the room, but the person would not be able to see me. That’s when my father entered in the room. That was the very time I saw it. I saw the real face of my excuse of a father. The cruel, psychotic face which could do anything for money. Anything included killing as well. The monster who valued money for lives.
Taking the chance of my father entering the other room for his testing gloves, I sneaked out of the hell. I didn’t what I would do after entering the room, but leaving out I had a motive fixed. That motive being: I would never let the monsters win.
Here I was sitting on my college canteen table waiting for the 4 very important dorks of my life. Don’t ever tell this, but they are the most important people of my lif-----
“DONT YOU DARE SPEAK ANOTHER WRONG WORD ABOUT CHOCOLATE!!”
Or not
Well everyone let me introduce you to my gang of morons. We basically were divided in two teams.
Team 1:- Team Strawberry and Team 2:- Team Chocolate Team Strawberry being Justin, Crystal and Charles. Team Chocolate being Me and Byron.
Thus was the war going on since the day we all met. A war of which team being better. It still didn’t came to a conclusion about who was better than whom. You must be thinking about majority wins. Well me and Byron left no way to let the rival team win.
After all Chocolate was the BEST!!
“What’s wrong Jen Jen?”
Observing my mouth being shut, which was a rare case, everyone’s attention turned towards me. Afterall they knew every aspect of my life from the hellhole called home till my shitty life. I enlightened them with my recently newfounded research. I had to watch them all coming back to reality for the whole five minutes. Being the best friends they were, they obviously took my side ready to help with their lives at stake. I never had to think twice to trust them with anything as they were always there for me in every situation a parent should always have been. Be that in the case of bullying or the time when I was admitted in the hospital due to the accident .
“So what are we going to now?” Justine asked being the genius and the father of the group.
“I have carried a sample of the virus I was able to find in the basement with me.” I whispered as there were werewolves students around.
“How about we tell them, that we have the virus with us.” We all sent a dirty look towards Byron for even thinking about such a nonsensical idea.
Crystal who was reading the magazine alongside listening to our secretive talks exclaimed suddenly, “Guys I just discovered that a banquet had been held in our town in some days. The sole reason of the banquet being set is the welcoming of the Alpha King who is going to have a stay in our town for somedays for rest from the return of his meeting and would be continuing his journey back to the castle. If by any chance we would be somehow able to sneak the virus to him......” The rest was for our imagination.
“It’s a great idea. We can save many lives with just one move” saying Justine picks a strawberry from their bowl.
“Are you guys imagining yourselves to be some kind of superhero or somethin?”
All eyes were turned towards me.
“How in the hell are you going to enter in the banquet? Are you all imaging it as some kind of food distribution where we can act as beggars for food and get our entries?” Yes we did it once. Please don’t ask why.
“Leave the entering the banquet thing to me”
