Chapter 1572

Joanne took a casual outfit and stood in front of the mirror to change clothes.

Upon entering the bathroom, Edwin realized that he had forgotten to bring his underwear. He went to the dressing room and happened to see Joanne putting on a comfortable sports bra. She usually wore this type of clothing at home, and as she bent over, her charming figure was revealed.

An impulse surged within Edwin, and he couldn't help but say in a hoarse voice, "I prefer it when you wear the black one."

"Ah!" Joanne thought Edwin had gone to take a shower and never expected him to suddenly appear behind her.

She was startled and quickly put on the bra. Through the dressing mirror, she saw the teasing glint in Edwin's eyes. Blushing, she turned her head and gave him a resentful glare. "When did you become a peeping tom?"

"Since you didn't close the door, I thought you need some fashion advice from me," Edwin replied.

How shameless he was!

Overwhelmed with infuriation, Joanne wanted to close the door. Edwin also knew that she was angry out of embarrassment. Before leaving, he gave her an ambiguous smile. Then he casually picked up his boxers, hummed an off -tune tune and went into the bathroom.

The sound of rushing water echoed. Joanne patted her flushed face and went to make breakfast for Tail.

On the first day of serving Miss Tail, Jadyn and the chefs were all extremely attentive.

The scene in the kitchen was quite exaggerated.

Eight top chefs were trying their best to make specialties.

Although the kitchen of East Imperial was large, accommodating so many chefs, caterers and maids made it seem a little cramped. "Miss Tail just came back, and Mr. Atherton said whoever makes breakfast to her satisfaction will receive a 20% salary increase." "Miss Tail's health is not good, so the breakfast must have a balanced nutritional mix."

"The food should be easily digestible and absorbed."

Joanne had finished changing her clothes, and before reaching the kitchen, she heard Jadyn's serious but trembling reminder. 'Is it necessary to go through so much trouble for just one breakfast?' she thought.

It wasn't until she stood outside the kitchen that she realized the situation was far more exaggerated than she had expected.

Inside the kitchen stood a group of people, all prepared to show off their best cooking skills and specialties.

"Madam, why are you here?" Jadyn was the first to notice Joanne outside the frosted glass door, and she ran over with a smile.

Joanne gestured towards the room full of chefs, eyes widened in surprise. "Isn't it usually a rotation? Why are there so many chefs here today?"

"Mr. Atherton was not entirely sure of Miss Tail's preferences, so he asked everyone to come and try their best to satisfy her." Jadyn tried to speak well of Edwin. "Mr. Atherton did behave like a playboy before, but once he makes up his mind to treat someone well, he will do so wholeheartedly. He's treating you and Miss Tail so well now."

Joanne was rendered speechless.

That wasn't the point. The point was...

"Tell everyone to leave. There's no need for such a labor-intensive process."

"Well..." Jadyn looked hesitant. "But Mr. Atherton..."

"When Tail and I lived together, she wasn't used to eating food made by others," Joanne explained.

Jadyn suddenly realized that if Joanne cooked breakfast for Miss Tail, she could make it for Mr. Atherton at the same time. This was like killing two birds with one stone.

Jadyn decisively asked all chefs to stop, and then she quickly cleaned up the kitchen.
