Oops, I’ve Been Exposed

Chapter 33 by Lorelei Thunder

Sasha widened her eyes and asked loudly, “What did I just say? I told you that the Yorks are not to be trusted. They look honest on the surface, but they hide sinister intentions under their masks.

“Woody, you’re done for! You have lost your last source of support. What are you going to do to fulfill your promise now?

“And you still claim that you’re not here to cause trouble for our family? You clearly have no way out of this. Dad, why can’t you understand? He’s going to ruin us all!”

Glaring at Sasha, Shane reprimanded her. “Hey! Watch your mouth!”

Mindy hastily stepped forward. “Sasha, please stop saying those things. No matter what, Woody is back, and it’s wonderful news. It’s something to celebrate. Let us just have a nice meal together as a family, alright?”

“I’m not his family!” Sasha rolled her eyes.

Mindy took her daughter’s hand, saying, “Come on, stop sulking. Since you’re here, help me with the cooking. We’re having your and Woody’s favorite dishes.”

“Who? Me? I don’t care about some stupid food!”

Although Sasha protested vehemently, she did agree to stay for dinner. Woody looked at her with an apologetic expression, but Sasha only rolled her eyes at him.

“Shane, I learned how to give massages while I was in prison. Why don’t I massage your head? It might help with your illness,” Woody suggested with a smile.

Shane was surprised. “Sure! Instead of whiling away your time in there, you picked up new skills. I’m happy to hear that.”

The two then went into a room. Right before Woody entered the room, Sasha said in disdain, “Know your place! He has Alzheimer’s disease, you know? It’s an illness no professional in the world can cure. If massages could cure that, we wouldn’t need hospitals or doctors anymore. You’re such a joke. Don’t you feel embarrassed at all?”

With Woody’s exceptional medical skills, however, it would be a piece of cake for him to cure Shane. After all, he could even revive the dead. When the Majestic Ruler appeared, even death ran away in fear! It was just Alzheimer’s, and a mild case at that. It was nothing to the Majestic Ruler.

However, Woody didn’t want to expose his real identity in case Shane and Mindy were too shocked by it. So he chose to treat Shane via massages. Although it was not as effective, if he kept at it for a week, Shane would be as good as new.

Mindy’s lumbar strain and leg problems were even easier to deal with. In five days at most, she would be able to walk and look like she did ten years ago.

“Oh… That feels great!”

Woody’s massages felt amazing for Shane. After just a few minutes, Shane felt very refreshed. He heaped praise on Woody.

“Woody, you’re quite the professional. I’ve never felt this clear-minded before. I feel as if my illness is cured!”

“If you’d like to, I can give you a massage for five minutes every day,” Woody said smiling. Then, he shouted out the door, “Mindy, I’ll give you a massage after the meal too.”

“Sure!” Mindy agreed happily.

Sasha rolled her eyes in disapproval.

“Sasha, I think that Woody will be working at your company as well. I’ll call my old classmate in the afternoon and ask him to pull some strings. What do you think?” Although Shane had already made up his mind, he still came over to ask for his daughter’s opinion.

Sasha’s job had been arranged by an old classmate of his. If he hadn’t pulled some strings for her, she couldn’t possibly have made it into one of the top ten companies in the city as a fresh graduate

“No way!” Widening her eyes, Sasha said in anger, “Helenova Ventures won’t tolerate slackers. We have high expectations of our employees.

“He has been in jail for four years, so he must be out of touch with society. Also, he has a criminal record. Who would hire him?”
