Omega Princess

Chapter 19

"What do you mean?" Vincent looked at me with anger.

"Vincent, I am an Omega. I am not Luna material. You will have to pick another chosen Mate to be Luna."

He growled at that. "I will not. I will only have you."

"My life is complicated. I don't know my past. My father may have been a traitor. Katie is my daughter. You said yourself, how could you accept another man's child?"

"I didn't mean it. I will learn to love her as you do. I just need time."

"I believe you, but I don't have time. I haven't told you everything."

"What else could there possibly be?" He looked at me. I patted the couch.

"No more hiding." I breathed "At some point I may have to choose between my magic and my wolf."

"That is easy, choose your wolf," Vincent said. He didn't understand my magic was a part of me too.

"I think I agree with him about choosing your wolf." Sasha chimed in.

"Sasha, you are back. Are you strong enough to stay?"

"Yes, your exercise with our mate allowed me the strength I need to stay. Tell him the whole truth."

"Fillian is she back? Marcus said she is back."

"Marcus is your wolf?" He nodded. I smiled at his excitement. "Yes, Sasha is back. Apparently, our closeness gave her strength. She told me to tell you the whole truth, but you must remember I can never be a Luna."

"Filli what is it?" I looked at him. He had used my nick name. I smiled and felt my cheeks grow warm.

"There is a way to keep both, but I must fully mate, mark and be marked by my true mate."

"Easy." He got up and went over to me. I put my hand on his chest to stop him.

"Let him." Sasha was happy at the idea he was so willing. "I cannot let him. I cannot be his Luna. You missed the part where my dad was a traitor. I'm an Omega and I was mated before, so who is my true mate? An Alpha needs his Luna." "Marcus says your nuts." Sasha said with a huff.

"I get it. All three of you don't understand." Vincent smiled. He must be communicating with Marcus. "We will start training tomorrow. Maybe overtime I will feel different. Today I want to see Dr. Rosenbaum to see if he has my bloodwork back and if he has run Katie's."

Vincent linked Dr. Rosenbaum to come to the office. My bloodwork was inconclusive. He said I did not show signs of being linked to the royal family but, as far as he knew, only the royal bloodline had both magic and wolf blood. I showed signs of both in my DNA. He agreed to run the same for Katie. After that, he left with a promise to swing by the Browns to draw the needed bloodwork.

Vincent ordered us lunch in his office, and we talked about his childhood and his family. I learned that he and his sister were very close. That he had grown up always knowing he would be Alpha and loving the role.

I envied him his past and his direction. How easy it was for him. He always knew he would be the Alpha. I have been Beta, Omega, Witch, Wolf, and most recently, traitor. How could he want me as Luna? I wouldn't know the first thing about being a Luna. When 5 p.m. arrived, he drove me back to the Browns and joined us for dinner.

Dinner went well. Vincent had brought a stuffed unicorn for Katie. He was trying to win her over and I think it was working. Although she still ran to Eric when he came in. Which obviously angered Vincent.

The next two weeks were tiring. Training from 4-7, then I would rush back to get Katie ready and take her to school. I would return to Vincent's office and read. Sometimes his mom would stop by, and I would help her with little tasks. Looking in on hurt pack members or working with the Omegas to see what needs there were for meals.

Diana was a great Luna. Everywhere we went, people respected her. People would shy away from me less and less with each of our outings. I understood their hesitance about the rumors that spread. By the beginning of the second week, everyone knew I was their Alpha's mate and questions about why we had not mated or formally announced me a Luna spread.

Vincent and I grew closer as well. He was a great warrior. We were intimate a few more times but we had not mated. I learned that he tasted salted cherries as well. He stretched my mouth and throat so that it was hard to breathe. Every time we partook with each other. I felt stronger and I could tell Sashas strength was growing.

Sasha and Marcus were going nuts wanting to be let out.

I still would not mate with him though. It was less about him and more about my unknown past. It haunted me every day. When Rogues attacked, Vincent wouldn't let me help. He didn't want to risk me using my power and losing Sasha forever. Marcus and Sasha were getting to know each other as well and she began to whine about not being allowed to shift with him.

Vincent and I didn't trust our wolves not to mate if let out.

We were training in the afternoon. I was using a small amount of magic and Sasha would link Marcus. I would increase the magic till the link broke. It had only been two weeks and I was already getting stronger. Maybe I wouldn't need to mate to keep Sasha. Vincent would have a chance for a real Luna.

"Don't go there." Sasha said. "You know he only wants you. You would be a great Luna. You have been through so much and have seen the bad and good in leadership. You could use that past to make changes in the wolf world. It is a path we could take." Eric walked in. "A letter had arrived from the Dark Moon Pack. It is addressed to you."

Vincent read it and, with a grim look growling, it looked like his wolf was about to take over.

"What is it?" I asked, grabbing the letter.

It read:

Alpha Vincent,

You have stolen two of my pack members. This is an act of war. I am willing to forgive and forget; but you will return Katie to the Dark Moon. You will also return Fillian to her rightful mate, my Beta Dane Arrendo, to do with what he wishes. After all, he is her fated mate and therefore belongs to him.

You have one week to return my pack members or there will be war.

Alpha Alex

Dark Moon Pack

Maybe I should run. I didn't want the Violet Moon Pack to go to war and there was no way I was going back or giving up Katie.

"Don't even think about it," Vincent said. "Sasha just told Marcus what you were thinking. You will not run."

"If we are not here there will not be a war. I can't let anyone get hurt by me. Not again." I said with a tear rolling down my cheek.

He wiped the tears and wrapped me in a hug. He was warm and his scent calmed me a bit.

"We are not giving up Katie or you. I just found you," Vincent said. "If it is a war they want, they will lose. He must know that."
