Chapter 25 - In His Heart I'm Just A Bitch
Vivienne stopped in mid-step and turned around with an enchanting smile: "I only make appointments with men in bed." Matthew...
With a loud bang, James quickly turned his head to see that a laptop on the conference table had fallen onto the ground, split into two pieces leaving behind shattered screens showing violent patterns. Sebastian was still sitting there neatly dressed; his expression seemed calm yet elegant while being coldly distant, which made people forget that he was responsible for smashing the computer just now. Sebastian glanced sideways at Matthew saying: "Come inside Matthew."
His voice sounded normal, but James shuddered slightly because Mr.Crowley's calmness was too terrifying.
Vivienne had already walked far away; Matthew grabbed the door handle and didn't want to go in. James could tell that something was wrong; did he not know?
Sebastian looked at him and said only one word: "Enter."
James knew this was his bottom line, don't let him say it a third time; otherwise, even he would be unlucky.
James urged: "Mr. Walker, come in."
Matthew was scared: "Isn't... isn't there something else?"
James unkindly pushed open the door and gave Matthew a hard shove from behind.
Matthew rushed inside with inertia but stopped abruptly when he saw Sebastian sitting there.
"Cousin... is there anything you need?" He called Sebastian cousin because they were college classmates and their families had some distant relatives, so according to seniority rules, Sebastian should be addressed as a cousin. Sebastian's middle finger and index finger were holding a coin that spun nimbly between his fingertips while he asked about company matters, such as suggestions for business operations for the current year without any problems at all. As Matthew spoke more freely, he relaxed his guard thinking that perhaps Mr.Crowley wasn't bothered by that wild little girl after all since she was just a woman who wasn't worth much of Sebastian's attention anyway.
After discussing work-related issues, Matthew became bolder and asked: "Cousin, when did you hook up with such a sexy chick? She's really hot-tempered with an even hotter figure..."
Sebastian lowered his eyes, sweeping over the women's windbreaker on the ground, saying: "Anything else?"
Matthew gossiped further, asking if they really slept together last night or if Sebastian stole her phone like she claimed.
Sebastian suddenly stopped his finger; the coin fell into his palm. He looked up and said, "Matthew, I am very satisfied with your recent work attitude and performance." Matthew was stunned for a moment. How did they suddenly switch to work again? But he quickly said, "Thank you, Mr. Crowley; I will continue to work hard."
Then Sebastian continued, "Recently, the company has decided to build 50 African primary schools free of charge. I think you can be in charge of this project. It's not bad."
Matthew was dumbfounded at that moment and stammered out: "Cousin... no... Mr. Crowley..."
"Any objections?" Sebastian gave him a glance that made Matthew shiver all over, and he quickly shook his head: "No... absolutely not... why would I object?"
"You'll leave with the team at 1 pm this afternoon."
"What? This afternoon?"
