Chapter 19: Let's Make Love
Still dazed by their kiss, Vivienne released him.
"This is my thanks," she said with a smile. Vivienne was holding a cigarette with one hand and patting the man's face with the other, smiling beautifully: "A few years ago, I would have really dared to go home and sleep with you for a cigarette." Vivienne swayed back and forth before turning to leave when suddenly he grabbed hold of her wrist and pulled her back towards him so hard that it caused her to spin around twice before coming to rest against the door leading into the women's restroom.
Her head spun even more now as if trying to keep up with what had just happened; she was almost too dizzy to stand on two feet anymore.
"Sleep with me tonight," he whispered into ear seductively while pressing himself against her body from behind like some kind of predator ready to pounce on its prey." I'll make you play Perfume's lead actress." His voice was low and husky yet pleasant-sounding despite being tinged by bitterness or resentment in some way.
"Quid pro quo?" Vivienne asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes," he replied simply.
Vivienne suddenly found the strength to push him away and turned around to leave. She took four unsteady steps before stopping and turning back towards him. "Where should I go?"
"Let's make love," he said with a smirk on his face.
...
Vivienne didn't know what she was doing anymore; all she knew was that when he mentioned making her play Perfume's lead actress, she followed him without question. As for Mr. Johnson...that pig of a man? She didn't even want to look at him once more.
It felt like some kind of self-imposed exile driven by alcohol - rather than stay behind with someone familiar, Vivienne would rather follow a stranger into the night instead of sleeping next to them in bed.
Her mind was hazy as if still drunk from all the alcohol consumed earlier that evening, so much so that when they got into the car together, she fell asleep almost immediately after getting in it.
When Vivienne finally woke up again later on, she found herself lying in bed inside some hotel room while this man straddled her stomach uncomfortably. He looked down at her from above with an expression both curious and annoyed, as if wondering how anyone could sleep through something like this.
"You can still sleep through this?" he asked incredulously while pinching her chin between his fingers tightly enough to hurt slightly but not too much either way since it only added more pleasure for both parties involved here anyway. Vivienne giggled drunkenly while biting down on one finger absentmindedly before saying: "You look just like someone I used to know..."
"Somebody you used to know?" he repeated curiously yet suspiciously now." Who might that be?"
"I don't remember..." Vivienne murmured softly after thinking about it for a moment.
He lowered his head and bit down on her lower lip while teasing it with the tip of his tongue. "You don't remember their face or their name?"
Vivienne moaned softly in response to this, enjoying the sensation of being kissed so passionately by someone she barely knew. "I don't remember anything..."
"Damn it," he muttered under his breath before biting down harder on her lips again." How many people have you kissed over these years anyway?"
"I don't know..." Vivienne replied honestly, yet still sounding somewhat dazed from all that had happened thus far tonight... Later, Vivienne only knew that her clothes were torn, and then... there was no "then" anymore. As a person who had been drunk, she couldn't remember anything. She was taken away by a stranger and luckily found herself still alive when it became light outside.
When she woke up, she felt terrible headaches and weakness all over her body. Vivienne was so angry. Yesterday, she planned to drug Mr. Johnson to make him fall asleep and spend the night with him until morning came. But unexpectedly...she ended up being played by someone else.
Damn it.
