Chapter 1 - You Scheme Against Me, I Sleep With Your Man
As the police pounded on the hotel room door, Vivienne Scully slipped out of bed, the lingering scent of desire still clinging to her. Clothes were scattered across the floor-a telltale sign of a passionate night with Sebastian Crowley, Los Angeles' most desired lover and, in her case, her aunt's man and fiancé.
Undeterred, Vivienne remained calm and collected as she prepared herself for the unexpected intrusion. With practiced ease, she freshened up and applied her makeup, looking radiant and beautiful despite the early hour.
Sebastian, shirtless with red marks left by Vivienne's nails on his fair chest, lit a cigarette. "Just ask me, and I can shorten your sentence," he said, smoke curling around his lips.
Vivienne walked over and took the cigarette from his hand. She took a puff before blowing smoke out, then returned it to his mouth. Her delicate hands patted his face like a john teasing a prostitute. "Mr. Crowley, you need to be more careful when having one-night stands with women." Her words were sly and seductive.
Only someone who had seen Sebastian would have known how handsome he was. Among men, he ranked first among the women of Los Angeles who desired him, yet his frivolous demeanor indicated cold-heartedness.
Vivienne had seen it in his eyebrows. There was never a hint of warmth or emotion, no matter who he looked at. She wondered if he knew how rich he was.
The police shouted outside, "If you don't open up soon, we will break down the door!"
Vivienne quickly checked her appearance and then turned around to open the door, but Sebastian grabbed her wrist tightly. "This is your last chance. Are you sure you want to do this?"
His eyes were as narrow as his cold-hearted smile. Vivienne raised a questioning eyebrow. "What? Do you have feelings for me after sleeping with me? You're not going to leave your fiancée and fool around with me now. When did you become so...sentimental?"
Suddenly Sebastian tightened his grip on Vivienne's wrist, almost crushing her bones. "You slept with me just to get revenge on The Scully family?"
With a seductive look, Vivienne replied, "I slept with you because you are Rachel Scully's man. Didn't you know that already?"
She had known from the beginning that Sebastian was heartless and cold. He looked down on everyone, including Rachel, and there was probably no one in the world who could catch his eye. Sebastian's eyes darkened abruptly. He spat out between clenched teeth. "You're such a slut."
Vivienne smirked. "So are you."
