Lucian’s cold voice not only left Jasmine shocked but also drove a terrifying chill to crawl down her spine. She had deliberately intended to keep her pregnancy a secret from everyone in this new territory at least for a while and even fled from her pack for this sole purpose.

But it was unbelievable for her to process that it didn’t even take Lucian an entire day to find out about her grave secret!

Her ocean eyes wadded big, as drops of cold sweat trickled down her forehead, making her breathless and uneasy. Her shivering right palm unknowingly clenched her belly and meeting his dangerous dark eyes that gazed intently into her, her l*ps trembled, “H–How… How did…you know that?”

Watching her admit the truth, all of a sudden anger blazed through his dark gaze, making Lucian grit his jaws. He was strangely enchanted by this unknown girl a moment ago, which had never happened to him before. But now finding out that she was pregnant had somehow fanned his rage.

He coldly retreated a few steps back from her, and peered a disgruntled gaze when he grunted, “Did you think you would be able to hide such a secret from me? How dare the Rosewood pack send me a knocked–up maiden this time?”

“No…I…I didn’t mean it like that, Your Grace…” Shuddered in dread, Jasmine felt her throat getting choked, making it hard for her to speak clearly, “I… I just want to know….how did you find out about it—”

“SHUT UP!!”

But before she could finish her murmur, Lucian’s fierce roar caused a vibrant echo inside the room, making her quiver in fear. His rolled dark eyes appeared undeniably scary to look at. He clenched his fist tight and grumbled aloud, “I had enough of your deceiving! Now, I will have a word

about you to His Majesty I will tell him the exact truth!”

Roaring aloud, Lucian quickly turned around to storm out of the room at that very moment. But Jasmine was aware that the expose of her secret in front of this unknown lycan territory would give her as well as her unborn child a cruel and humiliating death without any mercy!

Her motherly instincts reacted fast, as she rushed toward Lucian. She knelt on the ground, in an attempt to grab his feet from behind, sobbing hard.

“Please, Your Grace! Have mercy on me! Please don’t tell anyb*dy about it, I beg you!! Please…”

The moment she touched him, Lucian’s agitation seemed to cross every limit. Even though he had vowed to himself never to trust anyone in this cunning world, he was strangely drawn towards her from the very first glance.

But anger took control over his messy emotions as he fiercely yanked her away from him in the blink of a second. His strength was so fierce that with his yank, Jasmine was thrown against a glass vessel on a small table, making her crash into those scattered glass pieces with a painful whimper.

“How dare you touch me? You think I would let you do anything and get away with it!?” Lucian howled fiercely, halting his steps as he turned behind to have a proper glance at her.

But Lucian paused suddenly when he saw what had happened.

Those shattered glass pieces from that broken vessel were scraped deep inside her fair white skin, making a bloody sight for him to witness. Jasmine’s arms and legs were covered in beet–red deep bruises from those glass scrapes, and she was trembling to stand still up on her feet.

Though her touch instinctively made Lucian yank her away like that, deep inside his cold heart twisted in pain to watch her covered in blood.

I don’t want to see her hurt! I truly detest it…

These words unknowingly echoed inside his mind, making his heart thump fast in nervousness. He didn’t feel any kind of sympathy or compassion for any of the previous maidens, no matter how hard they tried. But this girl had something different in her which strangely pulled him like a magnet, making it impossible for him to leave her in that state.

Staying numb for a moment, as he truly didn’t intend to hurt a woman who was carrying a life in her belly made him frown in concern. He grunted, “You….stay still there. I will call someone to arrange a physician for you. Stay still…”

“No need.” But surprisingly after standing up on her feet, Jasmine started. pulling out a deeply rooted glass scrape from her wrist and twisted her face in pain.

As soon as she pulled it out, she lifted her hand to show her bleeding scar to Lucian before she spoke, “I have something to show you as well, Your Grace.”

“Are you insane? How could you hurt yourself more like this?” Watching her pull out those deeply embedded glass scrapes puzzled his insides. Lucian started panicking as if he was the one who could feel the immense pain she was going through.

But suppressing his twisted feelings with anger, he scowled, “Stop yapping, and don’t pull it out. Just stay put, would you?” He yelled before he was about to leave the room, his feet paused when he observed something completely unexpected!

Jasmine lifted his other palm and placed it over that blood–soaked bruise right before Lucian, closing both her eyes for a second. Immediately a bluish flame emitted out of her palm and when she removed her other palm, that blood–soaked bruise had completely vanished all of a sudden, not even leaving a single trace of it on her fair white arm.

When she finished that one, she continued to pull out a few more glass. scrapes buried in her arms and continued using her mystical power to heal all the bruises. Watching her silently heal those deep injuries alone, Lucian stood still awestruck with a gaze of utmost disbelief toward her..

“W–What is happening? What did you do just now?” After a heavy intense. pause, Lucian brought himself to inquire her from his stunned state.

But by this moment, Jasmine seemed to have eased a little as she lifted her gaze into his dark eyes and walked a few steps close. “This is my most crucial secret, Your Grace. The thing that I revealed to you just now…I had kept it a secret from my own pack. But, I wanted to show it to you.”

“What kind of sick joke is this!? How can you do something like this?” Impatient and confused by her activities, Lucian growled again, unable to lift his gaze away from all the parts of her arm from where those bruises. disappeared one by one right before his eyes.

But to prove it to him, Jasmine picked up another glass scrape buried deep in her elbow and rolled her other palm over it, emitting the same bluish flame. Just when the flame had disappeared, once again the bruise had vanished with it and she deliberately showed her healed arm to him.

With a small mysterious smile, she answered, “I am the born healer of my pack, Your Grace. I can heal myself from any critical or fatal injuries and the same goes for others. My wolf didn’t awaken on my 18th birthday, but I had possessed this divine ability since my birth. I was raised by my weak omega mother alone, and I don’t know why am I like this. But I had to keep my ability hidden from everyone in afraid of getting abused by them. I couldn’t even tell it to the father of my child.

“But now…I wish to leap ahead. If you grant me a chance, My lord…I can prove my ability to you! I can even be of greater use to you…so please…just give me one chance!” Her voice sounded a bit resolute as she keenly pleaded for a chance to win over his faith.

The more Lucian stared still into her desperate blue eyes begging for a chance, the more he could feel himself strangely drawn like a moth. attracted to a flame. The captivating sweet scent which he had never sensed before gradually filled the room, and made him more uneasy.

After contemplating these distorted feelings, a sudden thought hit his mind like a striking thunder.

A cryptic smirk curved the corner of his crimson l*ps as moving closer, he asked her, “And what if you fail that one chance? Then…as your punishment for deceiving me, shall I kill you by myself?”
