Chapter Epilogue
Peter and Alaya stood at the counter of their cute little kitchen, in their cute little house, chopping vegetables together, peter was teaching her how to cook mutton stew. Now twenty-three years old Peter had put away his fathers sword, and tried his hardest to forget about what had happened nearly eight years ago now. However he also had an appreciation for the events, if not for the fighting he never would have met Alaya, his beautiful wife. But today he had more important things to worry about like the two like rascals that were due any day now. Alaya finished with the carrots as Peter started with the potatoes, they worked together well. The pair had left the magic realm behind and wanted to settle down to a peaceful life in the human realm. Peter reclaimed his old house and fixed it up, starting a cow farm in Ferrin Falls. Every once in a while they would visit Merlin and Silicont but mainly they lived a quiet life. “Oh my.” Alaya exclaimed the babies were kicking. “Oh dear.” “What’s wrong, is everything okay, is it time?” Peter dropped the knife on the cutting board and turned to Alaya. “No, no just a kick, wait no, yes it’s time!” Alaya shimmied over to a chair and sat with her legs up, while peter grabbed every cloth in the house that wasn’t already in use. He ran back over to Alaya and skidded into place between her legs ready to deliver his beautiful babies whether they be boy or girl he didn’t care, just as long as they were healthy. “Okay, ready? Remember deep breathe in at the beginning of a contraction count to ten then push!” He remembered what the midwife had told him to recite to her. “Yes Peter I know! Ahhhh! Something doesn’t feel right, it hurts! It hurts!” “I’m here for you just, what do you mean it doesn’t feel right?” “It doesn’t feel the way the other girls in the village described it!” Alaya screamed in agony, holding her stomach. “Ok we’ll get through this together do you want me to go get someone to help?” “No, No, you can’t leave me please peter help me!” Alaya screamed again, peter lifted her skirt and looked underneath to see if he could find what the problem was, he had experience birthing cows on their farm in the last few years, but delivering a person, two people was new for him, he would do his best. If he did his best what could go wrong? He saw something that greatly disturbed him, he poked it with his fingers and raised his hand to show Alaya. Corruption and blood
