Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife By Lil’ Bamboo Chapter 22

Chapter 22

At this moment, Janice was absolutely furious with Amanda.

She had found out from a colleague in the Human Resources Department whom she had a decent relationship that there was a rumor she had been abusing her power and instructing people from the Sanitation Office without authorization.

The only time she could think of such a thing happening was the incident with Serenity delivering the files, but Amanda had been the mastermind behind it, not her!

“It’s not like I forced you to do it. You also wanted to embarrass Serenity, so you did it willingly, right? I simply gave you a suggestion. You did that on your own, and it had nothing to do with me,” Amanda replied, immediately washing her hands off the matter.

The two of them started bickering like dogs and snapping at each other!

After Janice and Amanda’s falling out, Janice’s family scolded her severely, but they still tried to spend money and use their connections to find someone to intervene on her behalf. Unfortunately,

the money and gifts they sent out couldn’t be delivered to the intended recipients.

Even if they were delivered, the recipients would return it within a couple of days.

In the end, it was an old acquaintance of Janice’s family that secretly spoke to them about the

situation.

“Who did your daughter offend? It seems like the person has a significant influence on the city. I heard from the City Council’s director that your daughter will have difficulty finding any job, let

alone a stable position like this.”

Janice’s parents were dumbfounded when they heard this information. When they returned home, they immediately interrogated Janice, wanting to know who she had offended.

Janice was utterly confused.

How could she have offended someone who had such a great influence in the city? It wasn’t like she

had come into contact with any prominent figures, whether in her work or personal life!

Suddenly, she came to a realization and thought of the incident during the class reunion.

On that day, the person who had ultimately come to Serenity’s rescue was Jackson Valor.

Was it possible that… Jackson was the influential figure behind Serenity?!

The thought briefly crossed Janice’s mind, but she quickly dismissed it.

Serenity was responsible for the death of Jackson’s fiancee, Mira.

With that said, it was impossible that Jackson would support Serenity.

That would mean that Serenity had been incredibly lucky that day on their class reunion, and Jackson

had inadvertently saved her.

Then, perhaps someone else had a significant influence in the city and stood at Serenity’s back.

But Serenity was just a sanitation worker, so was that even a possibility?

Despite the low possibilities, it seemed that Serenity was the only person Janice had offended recently.

The following day, Janice wasted no time in finding Serenity.

As soon as Janice caught sight of Serenity, tears welled up in her eyes, and she said, “Serenity, I’m so sorry about what happened that day. It was all Amanda’s idea to have you attend the class reunion! That’s why I came up with an excuse for you to deliver the documents to me. I’ve been regretting it ever since. It’s all my fault that you were humiliated that day. I’m sorry!”

Serenity coldly observed Janice’s performance, not believing a single word out of the latter’s mouth.

“Can you forgive me, Serenity?” Janice pleaded.

Serenity calmly replied, “Why should I?”

“H-huh? I-I’ve already apologized… yet you won’t forgive me?”

Serenity found her words hilarious.

“You asked me to deliver the documents, which was normal. There was nothing wrong with it, so what should I forgive you for?”

Janice was dumbfounded.

How… should she respond to Serenity’s words? Did she have to admit that she wanted to see Serenity embarrassed and humiliated, so she had orchestrated the plan for her to deliver the documents in the first place?
