Chapter 28 You Are Popular Among Men 

Natalie’s heart skipped a beat. She lifted her gaze and looked at Sheldon with confusion. 

As soon as their eyes met, she realized they were excessively close. So, she quickly steadied herself. 

However, she heard a furious voice before she could step out of his embrace. 

“Natalie Shepherd!” the person bellowed. 

Natalie turned around to look. Then, she saw a tall figure standing beneath a streetlight. 

Although against the light, she could still sense how gloomy he was. 

Why was he there? 

She did not want to deal with Henry. Yet, he had started walking toward her. Then, he forcefully pulled her away from Sheldon’s arms. 

“I’m still alive and well! How dare you get intimate with another man already?” 

Anger flashed in Henry’s eyes. There was no way he could stay calm. 

After pondering about it, he decided to give Natalie a brief explanation. 

After all, Henry did not want the situation to escalate to a point of no return. 

But he had rushed there just to witness such a scene. He could not help but think that the Shepherd’s family home’s demolition had not affected her.

“Natalie, if you have the guts to walk away, just wait and see what’ll happen!” 

She lowered her gaze to his hand that was on her arm. In the past, he had pushed. her away countless times. 

Natalie had always hoped that one day, he would take the initiative to hold onto 

her. 

Right then, he was indeed grabbing her. However, there was nothing but sorrow in her heart. Before Natalie could say something, another hand pushed Henry away. 

In an instant, Sheldon pulled her behind him. “Mr. Chase, is threatening a woman the only thing you know how to do as a man?” 

His tone was soft and airy, but there was a tinge of provocation. Nevertheless, Natalie did not want him to get in trouble with Henry because of her. 

Sheldon quickly lowered his voice before telling her, “Let me handle this.” 

Henry scrutinized Sheldon’s actions. Then, the former clenched his fists. Why was he feeling uncomfortable at how Sheldon treated Natalie? 

“This is a matter between us! It’s none of your business!” Henry remarked coldly. “Step aside!” 

On the other hand, Natalie was indifferent. The two men stared each other down, engaging in a silent battle with their eyes. 

At the same time, something seemed to be building up in the air. It was as if an explosion could happen any minute.

However, Natalie did not respond. She countered, “What are you doing here?” 

“What’s your relationship with him?” Henry pressed on while walking closer toward her. 

Natalie showed no sign of backing. She confidently looked at him and snapped, Do I owe you any explanation?” 

Natalie Shepherd… 

Henry’s expression darkened even more. Before he could 

finish speaking, Natalie cut him off. 

“You’ve demolished the house. What do you want to threaten me with next?” she questioned with a straight face. 

At that point, Henry had lost his patience. “Natalie, I’m giving you a chance to reconsider. You should know your place!” 

Suddenly, Natalie chuckled. Yet, in his eyes, her smile appeared taunting. 

“There’s no need for that. We’ll go through the legal process if you don’t show up. tomorrow morning. I don’t care if there’s a lawsuit. I’m determined to get a divorce,” she remarked firmly. 

Henry’s expression was icy as anger flashed in his eyes. He tightened his clenched fists upon hearing that. His fingernails were digging into his palms. 

However, the physical pain was nothing compared to the agony he felt. Henry could not comprehend what was happening to him. 

Why did he suddenly feel such discomfort in his chest? Moreover, it was as if someone was strangling him, making it hard for him to breathe. 

Natalie did not say anything more. After that, she turned and walked away. Soon,

But Henry did not leave immediately. Instead, he stood rooted to his spot for a long time. 

Was this really the end of their marriage?

“You know how to cook too?” Natalie asked curiously. 

Sheldon smiled faintly before replying, “After living alone for a long time, I’ve got all the skills.” 

Then, he gestured for her to come. “Come and try it.” 

“Thank you, but I’m not hungry.” 

Natalie wanted to decline politely. However, in the next second, her stomach grumbled. Moreover, it was loud. 

She was sure Sheldon had heard it as well, so she immediately felt awkward. 

Meanwhile, Sheldon’s smile widened. “Don’t be shy. Come and eat before it gets cold,” he urged. 

Upon hearing his words, Natalie did not continue with the pleasantries. After thanking him, she sat down and began eating. 

Sheldon talked to Natalie about architectural designs. She focused on the conversation and slowly felt better. However, there were still certain matters. which she could not avoid./ 

The next day, after getting ready, Natalie set off to the courthouse. But instead of Henry, someone else appeared.
