No Escape From My Ruthless Alpha

Chapter 87

Chapter 87: Fireworks

Freya POV

Though Drexel didn't speak about her, I knew that the mere mention of her name was giving him tension. He started looking outside the window of the car as the driver drove it to the market

The woman in the wedding shop was ecstatic to see us. "Alpha Drexel!" she exclaimed as she clasped her hands in excitement. "We were waiting for you!"

Drexel nodded at her. He looked at me and said, "IT wanted to buy the wedding gown for you

Why don't you choose one, while I am sitting here?"

I couldn't contain my happiness, not because I wanted to try out the gown, but because he was so eager to marry me. My lips curled up and I said, "Sure."

The woman took me to a private room where she gave me a few wedding gowns. In the end I finally chose a white silk gown with tons of laces and a sleek cut till my thigh. It had a small veil in the front. "This is perfect!" the owner of the shop said. "Would you like to show it to the Alpha?"

66

Yes," I murmured shyly, trying to keep a bride's demeanor. When we opened the door of the

room and went out, Drexel wasn't there. The woman was obviously embarrassed

"T think Alpha is too busy," she said shakily

As 1f I was bothered. I went back in and changed into my dress. Handing over the wedding dress to her, I said, "Pack it for me and deliver it to Alpha's apartment."

"Sure!" she said with a grin

I came out and Drexel still hadn't come back. So I went to the parking lot where his car was and found that he was leaning against it, talking to someone on his phone. As soon as he saw me, he disconnected the call and gave me his best smile. I smiled back and sat in the car. Drexel

dropped me off at Kiev's house

"When is my house arrest getting over?" I asked, placing my hand on his thighs

A muscle feathered 1n his jaw as he looked at my hand. "Until we get married," he replied in a voice so frigid that I recoiled. I removed my hand and lowered my head

I chewed my lips and looked away from him

"Drexel... Iam so sorry about what happened in the past. Is there a way you can forgive me? I promise to make up to you. I know that the last few months I cheated on you, but still you continued to show your faith in me, but "

"That's fine, Freya," he cut me off in the same

chilly voice that felt like a thousand ice shards being hurled across my way through the bond we shared under his rule

Alphas had so much power on their pack members that it was simply too difficult to go against them. I stopped my teeth from chattering and clasped my hands tightly

He continued, "Once you are married to me, we are going to work it out. Won't we?"

"Yes, of course!" I sputtered. I could feel his aura, his force on me, and it was so suffocating that my head was hurting

"Good," he smirked

I didn't talk further and opened the door of the car. I jumped out and walked inside Kiev's house feeling better now that his aura lifted off my shoulders. As soon as the door closed behind me, I ran to my bedroom, a chill running down my spine. Drexel sounded ominous and I had to do everything to break this bond with him, to kill him

Kiev came in my room with two cups of coffee

"Freya, Mother wants to talk to you. She is impatient and she feels that something 1s really off in the packhouse."

"Ask her to be patient for the next four days. I will meet her!" I snapped. I took the coffee from him and went to sit on the bed, holding my head with one hand

"What happened to you?" Kiev asked, narrowing his eyes

I shook my head as I shirked off the last vestiges of Drexel's aura from me. He had never been this Alpha with me ever before. Was it some sort of a warning bell? I glanced at Kiev who was scrutinizing me. "Have you sent the invitations to all the Alphas who are under Drexel?"

"L have sent to eighty percent of them. The remaining, I will send today."

I sipped on my coffee as if it was my elixir. "Did you send them the place where they will be putting up?"

"Yes, I have. I have also talked to all the hotel owners about the rooms' availability. Obviously,

everything will come on Drexel's tab." He chuckled

"What about the venue for dinner?" I asked, looking outside over the rim of my coffee mug

"Tnitially, I wanted to book the banquet hall of the Blue Sapphire Hotel, which belongs to Alpha Drexel, but I was informed by Leo that Drexel will be hosting the dinner at the packhouse."

I shot him a surprised look. I took a deep breath in. "Okay... thanks," I said to him in a low voice

We sat in silence for some time and then Kiev walked out of the room out of boredom. The

minute he walked out, I placed a call to Alpha Miller

For the next two days, I became too busy to arrange for my wedding and then also how to sabotage it. Everything was falling in its place so beautifully. A day before, I received the message from Drexel:

"Thank you for calling so many witnesses for our wedding. I wasn't expecting it."

I chuckled and typed back: "You're welcome!"

The orchestra of his destruction was about to

begin and I held the stick in my hand. I was the Maestro of the song of his destruction

I knew that he was faking it by saying that he wasn't expecting it because he had broken into Kiev's laptop already, but there was no harm in playing with the tide. I got distracted by a loud boom. I rushed to the window only to see that fireworks were exploding down the lake
