SWNOVELS Chapter Figuring it out...
It was a pleasant sleep. I was rudely woken up by something pinching my butt though.
It hurt. “OW!”
I heard snickering in my ear, it was Elizabeth. “Sorry, I wanted to wake you up…”
That’s a mean way to wake someone up. “That hurt!”
She smiled. “Sorry… Jessica went to get breakfast, let’s have some fun!” W-what! She jumped on top of me and pushed down my arms.
Wait! What was she doing. “W-WAIT!”
She looked at me confused. “Why?”
I wasn’t sure about this. “I don’t think… I’m ready for this.”
She sat up… “It’s fine Red, if you don’t want to you don’t have to… “
I felt bad now… “I’m not sure, but as long as you’re gentle…”
She smiled and kissed me… “I’ll be gentle then.” It was, a pleasant experience… I’m glad it was with Elizabeth…
I think I understood what love was, it was after that… It was more than wanting to protect her, I also wanted to be hers… I didn’t want her to go away, I wanted to stay with her forever…
I ended crying, it worried her. “R-Red, are you ok?!”
I think they were tears of joy… “I think I understand now.” I buried my face in her chest, her heartbeat made me cry more…
She didn’t say anything, she just rubbed the back of my head… Maybe she knew what I meant, I hoped she did… I eventually stopped crying, I pulled my head away looked at her…
She wiped my eyes and smiled. “That’s good to hear.” She tugged on my collar. “Do you still want to be my pet?”
For some reason she looked beautiful, I don’t know. I’ve never noticed it before. “More then your pet.” She kissed me…
The first time I met her she was being mean, the second time she tried to kill me, the third time I saved her life… Now I’m in love with her… I couldn’t be happier about it. We laid there for a while, she kept running her fingers through my hair… It was wonderful just being next to her.
I don’t know how long it was, it felt like hours… I didn’t mind though…
Eventually there was a knock and a voice. “Hey, I’m back. I’m coming in so please don’t be doing anything right now…”
She opened the door, she was greeted by me and Elizabeth under the blankets, I was laying my head on her chest…
Jessica seemed concerned. “… What’s going on? You know what, never mind. I’m going to give you both five minutes to get dressed, if you’re not dressed by the time I come back, I’m going to kick both your asses.” She stepped out.
Elizabeth nudged me. “Time to get up.” We both climbed out of the bed. I didn’t want to move but I guess I had to.
Elizabeth tossed me some clothes, white underwear, a pair of shorts, and a black t-shirt… I put them all on and waited for Jessica. I didn’t feel motivated for some reason.
Elizabeth noticed it and hugged me… “What’s wrong?”
I didn’t know myself. “I don’t know… I feel like my motivation was drained.”
She looked worried. “How about we go for a walk after we eat?” I nodded…
Jessica came back in, she slowly opened the door and shielded her eyes this time. “Are you two dressed?” We both said yes… She uncovered her and eyes and looked at us… “Red, your eyes are bloodshot, were you crying?”
I shouldn’t lie. “Yes, I’m fine though.” Elizabeth put her hand on my shoulder, I rested my head on it…
Jessica eyed me suspiciously… “Right… Anyways I got us hash browns and eggs, they didn’t have any pancakes today.”
We all ate, Elizabeth kept touching me though. It was either my hair or resting her hand on my thigh, she would smile at me when I looked at her… I didn’t mind, my stomach would flutter every time she did… Though Jessica was visibly uncomfortable.
Jessica stopped eating. “Let me guess, you two did it this morning…”
Elizabeth coughed. “Y-yes, you figured it out so we shouldn’t lie.”
Jessica sighed. “I trust Red agreed with it then?” I nodded… “So, why were you crying?”
I looked up at her. “I figured it out…”
She didn’t understand. “Figure out what?”
I mumbled it. “Love…”
She didn’t hear me. “What?”
I mumbled it again. “Love!”
She still didn’t hear me… “What? Red speak up.”
I was frustrated now. “I LOVE ELIZABETH!”
She leaned back in shock… “Well… That reaction was unexpected.”
Elizabeth decided to say something. “She’s figured out what love means… The feeling of it, not what we told her.”
Jessica laid back on her bed. “I’m supposed to be supportive of this right…? Why am I worried…?”
Elizabeth answered. “You’re her sister, you should be… if you weren’t I’d be worried about how much you actually care for her.”
Jessica sighed. “I guess your right then…” We didn’t talk much after.
Every time my mood would sink, Elizabeth would hug me and I felt better again, something was wrong… Love shouldn’t do this to you. We finished eating and Elizabeth grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room, Jessica called out to us but she started running. I almost fell over trying to keep up with her, I felt exhausted… We got the woods and she pushed me against a tree.
She looked worried. “Red, I need you to stay calm okay!”
I didn’t feel motivated enough to be worried. “I feel exhausted, I don’t think I could be worried.”
She put her hands on the sides of my face and kissed me, then she had me sit down in front of the tree. I decided to lay down, it felt better that way. The leaves on the ground were soft…
We were deep in the woods, and Elizabeth starting yelling. “Nigel get your ass out here! I know you’re watching!” Who was she yelling to?
She screamed for a bit, then a man walked out from the shadows… It was the guy that helped me out of the bed. “Yes Elizabeth, what is it?”
She walked up to him angrily. “I know what you’re doing! Leave her alone!”
He sighed. “You know I’m only following orders… Your father would not approve of this.” Father?
She was still angry. “I don’t give a shit about what he approves of! I’m a grown woman! I can do whatever the hell I want! This includes who I choose to love!”
She stared at her. “Would you be willing to die for her?”
She yelled back. “Yes!”
He asked her another question. “Would she be willing to die for you?”
She was still angry. “She almost has already!”
The man sighed. “I can’t allow this. I’m sorry Elizabeth.” Before she could do anything, I watched him kick her in the side of her head, she was out.
It made me angry, I tried standing up but I was wobblily. Before I noticed he was in front of me. He put hand on my chin. “So beautiful, it is a shame… You have the perfect personality yet you lack the strength to protect yourself…”
I swatted his hand away. “Don’t touch me!” he stepped back, I still felt exhausted but I was motivated now.
I went to punch him but I felt a fist in my gut, he was faster. It knocked the wind out of me and he whispered into my ear. “I won’t kill you. I can’t bring myself to do that to a maiden such as yourself… But I will take you, you’ll have a better life with me. Elizabeth’s father would never approve of you two, he would kill you. I will save you.” I felt his hand touch my forehead and he slammed me into a tree, I blacked out.
