Never Tired of Mr. Leon's Love

Chapter 596

"I'm gonna head out. You two have fun. Bye, Lucy," Chelsea said. She then turned and walked away.

Matthew beamed at Lucy.

Feeling his gaze, Lucy bashfully looked down.

"Matthew... Maybe we should head home..." she murmured.

Seeing her like this, Matthew's smile grew even wider.

...

Once home, Lucy dove into her design work with her usual passion. She was a designer, and she could not slack off like before. Suddenly, Lucy's phone buzzed.

It was a notification from Hudson. Lucy was over the moon, quickly accepted it, and started jumping around with joy. Matthew walked in just in time to see her giggling to herself.

He strode over, grabbed the phone from her hands, and saw the name-Hudson. Another message popped up: [Hi Lucy.]

At that moment, Matthew's mood turned sour, his face clouding over with a frown.

Lucy, still beaming, finally noticed something was off with Matthew.

"Matthew, what's the matter?" Lucy was puzzled by Matthew's odd behavior.

Matthew looked at Lucy with a frown and asked, "Is it really necessary to add each other on WhatsApp?"

That was when Lucy understood why Matthew was upset.

She let out a soft laugh and said, "Absolutely, and if my draft gets approved, I'll have to start working at the office."

Matthew's expression turned stormy at her words, almost as if a cloud had settled over him.

"Why can't you just work from home?"

"Matthew, once the draft is accepted, I'll need help with designing more styles. I've finally found a hobby I love..." Lucy's voice was tinged with a hint of sadness. Matthew hated to hear her sound so downhearted, so after a moment's thought, he grudgingly nodded.

Seeing his agreement, she quickly hugged him.

"Thank you, Matthew."

Matthew did not know what to say, so he just hugged her back.

Just then, Lucy's phone pinged with a message from Hudson.

She checked it and told Matthew, "Hudson wants me to come in for a chat at the office tomorrow."

Matthew was not thrilled, but he nodded his consent anyway.

...

Early the next day, Matthew headed off to the office.

Lucy got up at the sound of the alarm, got ready, and set out for Hudson's company.

Downstairs, she found breakfast waiting on the table, along with a note from Matthew: [Lucy, have breakfast before you leave.]

Lucy read the note, smiled warmly, and sat down to eat her meal.

Lucy stepped out of her house and made her way to the Life Story Company building. Once there, she quickly sent a message to Hudson. Soon after, Hudson emerged from the building, his eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Lucy

She was dressed in a lovely pink dress that was both simple and elegant. She stood gracefully by the roadside.

The soft breeze played with the hem of her dress, making it dance lightly. Lucy's beauty did not just capture the attention of Hudson. Even the people walking by could not help but glance her way.

When Lucy noticed Hudson, she

flashed him a warm smile and

approached. "Hello, Mr. Xender," she

greeted, her happiness evident. She was thrilled that her designs would reach the public, and she saw Hudson as the person who made it possible.

"Hello, Mrs. Leon," Hudson replied, stepping forward to shake her hand. He remembered hearing about Matthew's wife, Mrs. Leon, being quite beautiful, but he had not expected her to have such a serene presence.
