Never Tired of Mr. Leon's Love

Chapter 585

The moon was beautiful that night. It was big and round, and the sky was filled with stars. There was a light breeze on the balcony that night, and the trees were swaying gently in the breeze as they rustled. Lucy lay on the lounge chair and felt herself relax after two days of being high-strung at work. The feeling was wonderful.

Matthew felt happy looking at her that way. He took out a blanket from the room to cover her.

"Do you think I can really take up the position of chief designer, Matthew?" Lucy looked up at the sky and asked Matthew.

Matthew felt sad when Lucy looked that way. He walked to her side and said, "Of course, you can. You don't need to be stressed out about it!"

Lucy felt lucky at moments like this. She was able to meet Matthew and spend the rest of her life with him...

...

The next morning, Lucy woke up on her bed. She went to clean herself up. Matthew had already gone to the office by then.

After cleaning up, she went downstairs to make breakfast, but breakfast was already on the table when she got downstairs.

Lucy saw a note on the table as well.

[Remember to have your breakfast. Heat it if it has gone cold.]

Lucy burst out laughing at the note.

"Mr. Leon, this is the contract from Sunrise Group." Kent placed it on the table in Matthew's office.

Matthew looked at the contract on the table and frowned, but he still picked it up to read it.

Was it still a 30-70 profit split? Was Ted just a puppet from Sunrise Group? Why were they doing this? It seemed like something was bound to happen soon. "What should we do with this contract, Mr. Leon?"

Matthew sniggered and said, "Tell them that we can only give them a profit split of 30-70. It isn't possible to give them that plot of land in West Side City!" Kent looked at Matthew and quickly nodded. He left the office after that.

Matthew stood next to the window in his office and looked out.

Were they playing games with him? Who was the mastermind behind Sunrise Group?

Ted was reading Matthew's reply in Sunrise Group when he got infuriated. He picked up the contract and slammed it to the floor.

He picked up the phone on his table and called Daniel.

Daniel picked up without hesitation when he saw Daniel calling him.

"Hello, Mr. Zimmer?"

"Talk." Daniel did not want much to do with Sunrise Group, but they were still worth making use of.

"I've already given in with a profit

split of 30-70 and a request of their land in West Side City," Ted said with a sly smile as he looked at the tall building opposite him.

Daniel had expected this. Matthew was a man of his word. He kept his promise on all deals made and was trustworthy.

"30-70 it is!" Daniel did not give Ted any further room to talk and he hung up.

Ted lost his temper after Daniel hung up on him. He yelled at his subordinate for not doing a better job.

...

"How has Linus been doing?" Daniel looked at his assistant beside him.

"He's been doing fine. It's just... Matthew Leon is keeping a very tight watch on Lucy Quinn. It's difficult for Linus to approach her." Daniel's assistant immediately left afte reporting this when he saw the dark look on Daniel's face.

Daniel gave a long sigh and picked up the phone on his table to call Linus.

"Is there anything you need, Mr. Zimmer?"

Linus had just finished his meal at home when the phone rang. He picked up the call even though he did not really want to. Daniel's sneer could be heard over the phone, and it made Linus uncomfortable.

"How have you been Linus? Is everything fine?" Daniel did not sound like he was concerned. It sounded more like a threat.

"Don't worry, Mr. Zimmer. I have

Matthew Leon and Lucy Quinn under

tight watch." Linus was not entirely confident with this reply. After all, it had been days since he saw Lucy because of Matthew.

The smile on Daniel's face disappeared after hearing this. He said coldly, "Good!"
