Chapter 7. Myth: Dryad
Is a tree nymph or tree spirit. Dryads are specifically the nymphs of oak trees, but can be used for all tree nymphs in general, or human tree hybrids in fantasy.
Are known to be very shy creatures except around the goddess Artemis, who is a friend to most nymphs.
Can make plants grow within second and change a seed into a towering oak. Can call on the energy within wood. Dryads are not bonded to a single tree even though they may have a favorite, they are able to move about between them. They do have a male counterpart known as a Drus.
Can have long brown hair with leaves in it, rough skin, or appear as being naked, or have clothing made of their home.
