Chapter The dream
"Hello, is anybody out there"
There was no reply. I continued to wander the black room looking for any signs of someone other than myself being alive but I saw nothing. Heard nothing. Knew nothing.
What had happened to me.
"Hey if you can hear me please tell me. Am I dead?"
I stood motionless looking for anything but still no reply. I was so afraid. All alone Shrouded in eternal darkness. I looked up in desperation. The ceiling parted and I saw the moon. Its glow calmed me. A white spotlight. A single ray of hope.
My gaze continued to rest upon it then it git brighter. Much brighter. It was blinding. I had to cover my eyes so as not to scream. As sudden as it started it grew dim. It left behind a voice.
At first, I couldn't place it then it hit me.No it cant be. He's dead.
It was him. I ran over to him crying my eyes out. Half of me still wanted him dead but the other half never wanted to let him go.
IT WAS SYE!
I fell into his arms and cried softly. Searching for comfort and praying what I saw was real and not just another dream. He stroked my hair then pushed me away.
"You not dead."
I chuckled then I dried my tears and looked at him with a very confused expression resting upon my face. He took a deep breath in and said three words that changed the way I perceive him.
"I regret everything."
He could not have done it in any different way. I smiled awkwardly and walked off in shock.
Running my fingers through my hair, I paced around completely baffled as to what is going on. Then I paused.
"What how are you here I saw you dead?"
He looked to me and said "Yes my body was dead but my mind can exist anywhere. I'm psychic so it's not hard to find the most compatible host. I can't stay forever as it could slowly kill you...."
What he was killing me?!
"But I see all you see so I will be the voice in the back of your head giving advice"
This was so overwhelming. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that he was alive and talking to me.
All of a sudden Sye said, "Well, we can't keep our friends waiting now can we?"
