Everyone froze when they heard Trevon's voice. Ashley's jaw nearly hit the floor, and she wondered who this guy stepping in like a movie star was, making even her crush Timothy look plain by comparison.
Without giving Ashley another thought, Trevon sauntered over to Selina. He leaned in close, his gaze smoldering. "Sorry, babe, hit some crazy traffic. My bad."
Selina's face lit up with a smirk, and she took Trevon's arm, saying. "Perfect timing"
"You... You guys..." Sara gasped, her eyes wide as she stared at Selina and Trevon.
Quinton's face lost all color as recognition dawned on him. "Trevon! You're... Selina's husband?"
The room buzzed with shock. Trevon Brady-the enigmatic tycoon of the Brady family, the guy who had just taken over as CEO of Insight Group.
"That's right, Trevon said, all confidence. T'd call you my father-in-law, Mr. Harvey, but since my wife here is done with pretending to play nior, let's skip it" He then turned to Selina and went on, "Bahr, it doesn't matter if Mr. Harvey gives you any trouble changing your address; you're moving in with me, anyway?
"Sure," Selina replied. She had given up expecting any decency from the Harvey family. They actually wanted her gone, but they kept on pretending, concerned about their reputation and their precious company. That was disgusting.
"No way. Selina, when did you get mixed up with Mr. Brady! You've never mentioned him before" Even Ashley, the queen of overreaction, was floored, speaking out in sheer disbelief.
Trevon was one of the most eligible bachelors in town-super mysterious, which just added to his appeal. Still super young, he was already calling the shots for the Brady family business. He walized into the CEO spot at Insight Group, cutting down anyone in his way like he was born for it.
The buzz was all about Trevon's iron fist rule. With no photos out there, everyone figured he must be an ogre. And now, he showed up, proving he could easily be the number one catch in town
"Since when do I owe you an update on my life?" Selina retorted, looking at Ashley with complete scorn.
Ashley fell a sting, but she hid her pain, covering her face as she started to cry. "Selina, I just don't get why you hate me so much....
Manuel snapped, "Knock it off Selinat Ashley's only ever been sweet to you. Since you got back, she's been bending over backward to make sure you're comfortable. Why are you laying into her?'
"Stop. Manuel. I... Ashley's cries turned up a notch, a calculated show meant to paint Selins as the villain in Trevon's eyes. She had no clue how Selina ever landed a catch like Trevon, but over her dead body would she let her bumpkin sister snag a prize like that. In Ashley's eyes, all the best guys should be hers: Selina didn't even compare

"Babe, you do have an eye for talent," Sele teased
"No kidding. I've come across too many like her, it's sickening
Their playful jabs sent a chill down Ashley's spine. "Mr. Brady 1. I'm not like that," she stammered, scrambling to save Face
Quinton's voice was ley, as he said, "Mr. Brady, don't you think you're going a bit too far? Ashley's a good, innocent girl. You can't just trash talk her like that." In this turf war between Harvey Group and Insight Group, Quinton didn't flinch. He had age and experience on his side-he built Harvey Group from scratch. No young hotshot CEO was going to intimidate him, no matter how slick.
"Let's bounce and get your address updated to mine, Trevon told Selina, a smirk playing on his lips. "Can't have you losing brain cells hanging around this crowd.
"Okay, let's go."
Hand in hand. Trevon and Selina hit up the registrar's office. They flashed their marriage license, and just like that, Selina's address was officially
hitched to Trevon's account.
It was official-they were married. The sight of that license and the stats approval hit the Harvey family hard. When did Selina and Trevon become an item? We're unerly clueless they exclaimed inwardly.
With paperwork in check, Selina led Trevon out. That was when Sara burst out, "Selina, are you out of your mind! Why didn't you say anything about getting married?"
"Mrs. Harvey, save your breath. We're done. From now on my life's got nothing to do with the Harvey family," Selina said, her expression unreadable as she pulled Trevon toward the exit.

Ashley, desperate and tearful, played her last hand. "Selina, remember your engagement to Timothy? What about our families honor and Timothy's feelings?"
"Looks like you're the only daughter of the Harvey family now, Ashley. Timothy's all yours Selina retorted without missing a beat, tightening her grip on Trevon's hand. "And you think I'd ever trade my man for some guy? Please," she scoffed at Ashley. Trevon couldn't hide his amusement. That's my girl"
"Get ready to hear more of that at home." Selina winked.
They walked away, the envy of the room b
bearing down on Ashley like a a ton of bricks.
Ashley seethed, her dreams shattering. Timothy seemed like a chopped liver compared to Trevon; now she wanted Trevon. How could a nobody like Selina, with nothing to her name-no brains and no class-be right for Trevan? No way! Only I am his equal,' she said to herself Quinton was hot on their heels, shouting after Selina, "This is your lost chance. Selina! You're throwing away the Harvey family's fortune. Do you think the Brady family will care about you without your family's clout?"
"Honey. Mr. Harvey thinks I should be scared. Selina said, batting her eyelashes at Trevon, playing up the drama.
Trevon looked down at her, smirking, Should he praise her acting, or joke about her really getting into it? "Don't worry. Mr. Harvey. I'm with Selina for who she is not for power or status. By my side, she's got all the power shell ever need" SEND GET
