Mysterious Mr.Richard

Chapter 3 We don't need a bridesmaid.

"Follow the doctors' words, Richard. You need eat breakfast normally. You always say that you're busy. But even I made you breakfast, you still rarely ate it." Pearl felt so cold as if someone had thrown a bucket of ice water at her. She raised her head but met an unwelcoming gaze. Her heart was pounding wildly.

She used to believing that she would be able to remain calm when they met again.

After all, seven years had passed. She thought 2560 days was enough to wash away everything, even the deepest love.

She thought that she would be cool.

She even thought she had no feeling for him anymore.

But to Pearl's surprise, Adriana's normal remark- "He don't eat breakfast."- would still stir up turmoil in her heart. There was a sharp pain in her chest as she noticed his indifferent cold eyes.

Why did he refuse Adriana's breakfast? Was it for the promise he made to her?

How could she still hope that?

"By the way, Pearl? Pearl? Are you listening?"

Adriana's melodious voice rang in her ears again.

"One more thing, as Richard and I are getting married next month, could you come? After all... we were best friends. And I hope you can be my bridesmaid."

It was too much and Pearl could didn't know what to say. Her body tensed under her white coat.

Her lips moved and she tried to say something. But before she could speak, Richard answered for her coldly, "We don't need a bridesmaid. We only you the bride."

He looked up and stared at Pearl with contempt. He continued, "Dr. Yonng, are you planning to stay and keep interrupting me and my fiancee?"

His cold sarcasm shattered her last hope immediately!

Pearl was taken aback. She glanced at the man on the bed inadvertently. But his gaze remained icy, and his thin lips were still pursed together. She should have known that he hated her. It was really foolish of her to think that he still had some feelings for her.

FAVOURITE GAMES ON

Pearl clenched her fists one more time.

Seven years ago, he said to her, "I'll only eat the breakfast you prepare for all my life."

And he even promised, "The bride could only be you at my wedding."

But seven years later, Adriana became the only one.

Pearl struggled to gather herself. Even though she almost lost her final strength, she still tried to lift up her lips indifferently. "Well, as I'm very busy, I am afraid I won't have time to attend your wedding. Also, the nurse will change the drip later." Before breaking down, she quickly recapped her pen, suppressed the pain in her heart and left expressionlessly.

"Crash!"

As soon as she turned around, a glass was shattered behind her and the sound was so loud.

So Pearl paused for a second. But then she still walked out of the room as sadness clouded her features.

He might intend to hit her with the cup.

Richard's face was darkening when she was leaving. She walked so quickly that he couldn't help tightening his fist. More blood dripped onto the bed sheet through the syringe needle. "Richard... Don't be angry. Although she is the doctor, I can ask the dean to get someone else if you want..."

After exiting the emergency ward, Pearl went straight to the bathroom and made sure that there was no one around.

She locked the door and leaned against the door. Then her emotions came flooding like a tsunami.

She felt an intense ache in her chest. She tried to press on her chest to get rid of the suffocating pain.00
