My Wife Is A Masquerade Master by Elisa Bertram Novel

Chapter 27

Chapter 27

With anger in Neville’s voice, he said. “Have you caused enough trouble?”

After getting up from him, Madison immediately tidied up her dress, as if it had been contaminated by something dirty.

Neville was annoyed by her actions.

Madison could always provoke him.

Seeing someone supporting her. Daisy immediately said. “Neville, she not only smashed Mom’s favorite porcelain vases but also wants to take our things away. You came back at the right time. Call the police and take her away!”

Madison coldly scoffed. “A thief crying Stop thief. It’s a pity you’re not an actress.”

“You Don’t try to slander me. You can’t accept being dumped by my brother and can’t find a man to cling to, so you returned to the Preston family, wanting to steal some jewelry. Even if you’re despicable, you should know your limits!”

Madison was accustomed to Daisy’s venomous words. She smiled and looked at Neville, saying. “Mr. Preston, what’s your take on this?”

Her address of him immediately distanced herself from him. And it irritated Neville.

“Open the suitcase. Neville said.

Madison’s heart tightened. She should have known he wouldn’t believe her.

However, the suitcase contained her previous drafts of Neville. There were also some photos and carved items.

If Neville were to find out about her intense love for him, it would be like laying all her cards on the table, showing that she was unwilling to let him go and leaving her vulnerable. And that would let the past torture her again

She couldn’t let her suitcase be opened.

“What if I say no?” Madison asked.

“Do you think you have a choice?” Neville said.

This was the Preston family, and Neville had the final say.

Madison took a deep breath and then looked at him. her gaze icy. “If there’s nothing in there that belongs to you, please ask Ms. Preston to return my things and apologize to me!”

Daisy said arrogantly. “If you took something from the Preston family, you have to crawl on the ground and bark like a dog!”

Neville frowned and was about to say something when Madison chuckled. “Deal”

She bent down to unzip the suitcase.

Neville looked down at her. When she bent down, her clothes outlined her perfect figure.

He was annoyed that he had inappropriate thoughts in this situation.

Daisy and Regina stared intently at the suitcase, fearing Madison might pull something.

They were certain Madison returned to the Preston family because she couldn’t make a living after the divorce, so she used the excuse of taking her things back to steal the jewelry.

Although Neville despised her, he bought her jewelry and luxury goods. Sometimes, even Regina and Daisy envied her.

They refused to believe that Madison wouldn’t take anything.

Neville’s things also belonged to the Preston family, so they thought Madison was doomed.

Daisy set her phone to record mode, ready to capture Madison crawling on the ground like a dog

She planned to post the video online, making Madison a laughingstock in Norston. She wanted to see which man would dare to marry her.

With a snap, the suitcase opened, and when Neville saw what was inside, he was momentarily stunned.

There were many sketch papers of him frowning, sleeping, and lost in thoughts.

Even the carved items were his silhouette.

The depth of her love for him was evident in her ability to remember every detail about him.

Neville, conflicted by his own emotions, uttered her name in a low voice, “Madison.”

Madison interrupted him with a smile, “Mr. Preston, don’t misunderstand. I just want to take out the garbage out so as not to dirty your noble hands.”

Neville smiled sarcastically, thinking that she didn’t mean what she said.

Daisy, wide–eyed, said, “It’s impossibile!”

Madison stood up and said. “If you don’t believe it, feel free to search. If you find anything that belongs to the Preston family. I’ll do what I just promised.

Daisy, without any sense of dignity, knelt and frantically searched the suitcase, not leaving any corner untouched.

Regina also couldn’t believe it either, and she joined Daisy in searching.

If they found no jewelry, it meant losing the initiative. Madison hated them so much. It probably wasn’t just about returning her things and apologizing.

Madison crossed her arms, disdainfully looking at Regina and Daisy

They almost turned the suitcase inside out but still couldn’t find any jewelry. Their foreheads were covered in cold sweat.

Regina had an idea. She tried to take off a ring, but Madison grabbed her wrist and sneered, “Hey, this ring is a family heirloom of the Preston family. Don’t you want to leave it to your future daughter–in–law?”

Regina felt a bit embarrassed for being seen through.

na

Daisy, still focused on searching, shouted, “Bitch, you must have hidden the jewelry in a secret compartment!”

She picked up a fruit knife from the table, intending to cut off the cloth. Neville kicked her wrist, sending the fruit knife fly

out

“Daisy, that’s enough! Neville shouted.

Daisy, looking pale, slumped on the ground.

Neville coldly said, “Give her back the things and apologize!*

Daisy felt a chill down her spine as Neville looked at her. With a lowered head, she said, “I… I thought it was garbage, so 1 threw it into the trash can.”

Madison smiled, “Well then, kneel on the ground and bark like a dog

Daisy shouted, “Don’t go too far!”

The floor was littered with broken pieces. If she crawled on the ground, her knees would be ruined.

Regina also scolded, “It seems you just pretended to be gentle and thoughtful. You’re so malicious by nature!”

Madison’s smile held a touch of irony as she responded, “Don’t be such a hypocrite. It was your daughter who suggested this arrangement. How can you accuse me of malice when I am simply asking you to honor your own words?”

Regina couldn’t fight back.

Neville glanced at her and said, “Madison, change the conditions.

They had only divorced yesterday, and she came back to the Preston family to pick a fight. Ife thought she was just unwilling to leave him.

If she proposed remarrying him, he could consider it.

After all, he could afford more than one wife, and having someone be Mrs. Preston would save him a lot of trouble.
