I woke up to an empty bed and empty shower but her scent was strong so she must have left only a few minutes ago. She gets up early and leaves everyday no matter how long I keep her up the night before. Maybe I can try tying her down in her sleep that way she won’t be able to leave my side. Then again I’d like to tie her down for other purposes. Images of Hope tied down and sprawled on our bed invade my mind and shower I turn the hot water off leaving the water cold just to calm down my raging boner. f**k.

The last thing I hear is her laughter before she ends our link oh she will pay.

I get out of the cold and lonely shower get dressed and head down to my office. I mind link Both Matt and Kyle to meet me after training then turned on my laptop and started going through the files I had to go over before setting up a meeting with our shareholders. I also needed to find out how Edward’s son knew that Hope’s wolf was a Starrk wolf when nobody else did. Suddenly the sweetest feminine scent of lavender and sweet citrus hits me and starts to calm me down.

I heard the door open and my baby walked in with an omega carrying a tray of food while she carried in my coffee. She’s all I need in this world.

“Good morning Alpha” The omega said and put the tray down on the table by the couch.

“Good morning thank you” I replied my eyes on the temptress with my coffee. The omega bows her head and walks out

“Hey” Hope walks over to me “How was your shower?” She asks smirking at me. Oh the things I’m going to do to you I think to myself as I lean back in my seat. She wearing grey yoga pants with matching shirt and sneakers.

“It was cold” I say taking the cup of coffee from her hand and placing it down in front of me then pulling her on my lap. She wraps her arms around my shoulders and tilts her head to the side

“You know baby I might have to punish you later for not listening to me” She laughs at me I cup her face and k**s her

“How much longer are you going to torture me with this?” I asked her

“I have no idea what you’re talking about” She smiles like the enchantress she is. She has me under her spell.

“I hate waking up and not finding you next to me” I run my hand up her leg

“I’m sorry but I have things to do” She looks at me with her puppy eyes

“Plus I promised Matt and Kyle I’d help them in training today”

“No I don’t want you doing that” I’m dead serious Hope in yoga pants training with the warriors hell no

“You don’t want me doing that??” She questioned me raising her brows at me.

“Yes I don’t want you doing that” I repeated just before Matt and Kyle knock and walk in

“Are we interrupting something?” Kyle smiled. I barked out yes while Hope said no and got off my lap. She probably was going to go stand by Kyle so I pulled her down

“You need to eat” She told me and gets up

“Good morning guys he has to eat. Have you guys had breakfast?” She says and filling my plate

“Yeah but I’ll eat anything you put in my plate” Kyle flirts with her trying to piss me off and doing a good job

“Kyle one of these day I swear..”

“Here you go” Hope puts my breakfast in front of me then leans down giving me a quick k**s

“You know if he decides to beat the s**t out of you one of these days I won’t stop him” Matt tells Kyle making my baby giggle. I know they both like her a lot I saw how sad they were when she was taken. But still I want all her attention. She gets more food for my brothers and leaves us alone to commence our meeting.

“I’ll send someone later to take the tray back” She said before walking out of the office. I want her to stay by my side.

“Where are you going?” I asked her like the sap I am for this girl

“I have a few things I need to do at home” I loved hearing her call her place with me home.

I talked to both my brothers about the Beta position and I told them that they are both equally qualified. I have no problem in hiring them both as Betas this one of the biggest packs and we had a lot going on every day so it was common for some of the larger packs to have two Betas. But Matt declined the position which didn’t surprise me. He’s happy being Zeta and lead warrior. He has his warriors and pack members to train he also had war plans to devise when needed and sometimes on the spot.

When Matt went back to work Kyle stayed behind. I explained a few things to him like the fact that we hadn’t become the most powerful, feared and rich pack from rolling over and taking crap from anyone. I have fought hard for where we are today. Father was Alpha but I was doing all his work since I turned eighteen. In fact, I insisted on it. It took him a few years to trust me and I had to prove time and time again that I could handle the stress and responsibilities, by twenty two I was taking care of our businesses in the city and abroad as well. Kyle would have a lot on his plate from now on but I knew he could handle it.

Right after I made the announcement to the whole pack that the new Beta was Kyle Brain came in and congratulated him. Brian Ward is a very well know man around the country and within the werewolf world. Dad trusts him with his life. Kyle had big shoes to fill. Brian offered any kind of assistance Kyle might need until he got the hang of things. I put Kyle to work right away setting up an alpha meeting and I wanted to get started searching for answers about Edward’s son and the Starrk Wolf abilities.

“I’d like to talk to you and Hope if you have the time” Brian said

“Yes of course” I mind linked Hope to come to my office. and she came right away. She kissed her father and sat across from him on the couch I got up from around the desk and sat down next to her.

“Is everything okay” My baby asked

“Yes princess I wanted to talk to you both about an old prophecy.” He takes a deep breath “We all know that Selene the Moon Goddess is found to be associated with the origin of werewolves. She is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia. Her sister is the sun god Helios and Eos, goddess of the dawn. There’s an old prophecy that says that every one hundred years a Starrk wolf is born with amazing powers.” He looks at Hope and I pull her into me. “And that the Starrk Wolf would be a descendant of the Moon Goddess”

“What kind of powers?” She asks her father

“Strength and the tolerance to pain are two, speed also and the rest are abilities unique only to the Starrk wolf that are unnoticeable until the wolf decides to put them to use.” He smiles at his beautiful daughter I can tell how proud he is. And I’m whipped. I’ve been under her spell since the first day I picked up her scent.

“Dad do I have any effect on my pack because it’s weird how protective I’ve been feeling lately” I looked at her in awe and pulled her close to me.

“A Starrk wolf increases a packs power thus making us even stronger than we already are. It’s like she builds an invisible wall around her pack where ever they are keeping them safe. About you feeling protective well that is because you are Luna now” Hope looks at me then back at he father

“So how was Alex able to erase my memory”

“He must have used Wolves bane in very high concentrated doses” Brian says and I run my hand through my hair. If Alex was here I’d tear him apart again and again.

“I guess that’s how I lost the baby” She said mostly to herself putting her head down. Brian looks shocked and heartbroken he came over and sat next to her on the other side. I wanted to wrap my arms around her, put her on my lap and cradle her and tell her everything would be okay but I saw pain in her father’s eyes at this revelation so I let him comfort his princess. Hope was quiet as her father hugged her she reached out for my hand for comfort. I am the luckiest son of a b***h alive.

“Dad does this put me in any kind of danger?”

“Well that’s what I wanted to talk to you about” He says

“Because a Starrk Wolf is sacred being born every one hundred years some packs seeking power may try to sabotage the wolf” Hunter comes out of the dark “wolves bane is accessible to anyone unfortunately”

“Baby we are the strongest pack and we have very close ties with our allies…” She cut me off

“But he was able to kidnap me and keep me hidden for a long time.” She says her voice low

“Alex” I had to take a deep breath after saying his name “Was one of us. He knew my weaknesses he knew how and where I would look for you.” I turned her face to me I don’t care if her father was here “I won’t let anything happen to you” I tried my best to reassure her.

“I’m not scared” She said “Especially when I’m with you” I kept my arms tight around her. Brian smiled down at his daughter then left the office.

“Well that’s good because I’m not going anywhere” I looked her right in the eyes. She smiled at me and put her head on my chest melting into me. My heart felt an explosion of emotions she was My Mate and she welcomed and accepted me way before she turned eighteen. I will live forever just to see her smile.

“Hope?”

“Yeah?”

“Let’s set a date for our wedding right now”

“okay” She agrees making me smile like a love sick idiot

“How about this weekend?”

“Okay” She tries to get up

“Where are you going?” I ask her wanting to keep her locked away in my heart

“I have to go shopping for a dress” I take out my wallet and hand her my card

“I want to get everything for this wedding” She takes my card k****s me and walks out.
