Before Reginald or Yafe could even say anything, Cheryl snapped, ” You're a
useless piece of shit! Both your parents are dead, and the Cole family is nothing.
Do you think that being with that bitch Celenal is going to change your fate
somehow? Do you think being with her will automatically allow you to join our
clan? In your dreams! Not even Celena herself is welcome in this family!”
In Cheryl's opinion, her union with the Hughes would only serve to consolidate
their status, which was why Celena and Liam were so desperate to be accepted
into the family once more. They simply wanted a piece of the pie! She had gone
to so much trouble to get Celena banished, so she could not allow her efforts to
go in vain no
matter what!
When Cheryl and the Walkers plotted to get rid of Liam, they had
intended to use any random woman as bait. However, it was Cheryl who pitched
the idea of luring Celena into Liam's room that night since she figured that
sleeping with the heiress of the Stone family would ruin Liam's reputation even
more. It would also allow her to get Celena banished. It was like hitting two birds
with one stone!
Cheryl had convinced Clora to go along with her plan and set Liam up so that he
would take Celena’s virginity! Since Reginald treated Celena like the apple of his
eye, they all knew that he would hate Liam to the bone once he found out Liam
had taken away his granddaughter’s innocence. Then, Cheryl deliberately leaked
the news of Celena and Liam's affair so that they would get caught and be
plastered all over the tabloids. Therefore, the Stones had become the
laughingstock of
the town for weeks! When Celena got pregnant after that, it only
played right into Cheryl's plan, which ultimately got Celena banished from her
own family!
“Cheryl!” Reginald snarled. Cheryl immediately clamped her mouth shut, but her
eyes were still fixated on Liam in a murderous glare.
“How dare you show your face here?” Yafe growled and stood up, staring at Liam
with boiling rage. “Celena has already been banished. Do you honestly think I will
allow you to embarrass us at Cheryl's engagement party on Celena’s behalf?”
Patrick stomped toward Liam and gave him a disdainful once-over, his nostrils
flaring with rage. As the heir of the Hughes family, he had always been the center
of attention. Whereas Liam, on the other hand, hailed from the Cole family. They
had already met their downfall years ago, so he was not at all intimidated by
Liam's presence. How dare this useless husk of a man show up and gatecrash
his engagement party? This was outrageous!
“This is me and Cheryl's engagement party. Even if you're here to give us your
blessing, we don’t need it! And if you're here to stir up trouble, I will make you
regret that you ever stepped foot in here!”
Liam did not reply, but this only served to make Patrick think he was afraid. He
stepped forward and poked his finger indignantly against Liam's chest as a
warning.
Meanwhile, Patrick's two bodyguards loomed behind him, staring menacingly at
Liam. They would mess him up if he dared to make a
move!
Any ordinary person would be so intimidated by Patrick that they would
immediately get to their knees and beg for mercy, but this was Liam Cole, the
commander-in-chief of the Pendragon Warriors!
The next moment, a sickening crunch echoed through the room.
Liam had reached out and snapped Patrick's finger right in half!
