My Husband Wants Me Dead novel (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 832

“Do you dream of her when you sleep at night?
“With her disdain for you, she probably wouldn’t want to enter your dreams!”
No! It was not like that!
Bradley’s dreams were filled with Esther. Whenever he closed his eyes, she occupied his thoughts.
At times, she appeared strikingly beautiful—at other moments, she stood amidst a raging fire, her silence conveying deep
discontent.
He longed to dream of her, yet he struggled to confront her in his dreams.
“If Esther is no more, your attitude should have changed!”
Agatha paused, then let out a cold laugh. She turned her gaze toward Felix and spoke slowly. “Consider yourself fortunate. You
and Esther have Felix as your son. We’re not showing kindness—we aim to spare Felix from further hurt.
“Bradley, Felix is your safeguard now.”
With those words, she entered the castle.
Felix sat silently in his chair, peering through the window at Bradley in the distance.
“Grandma Foster, is Felix’s dad here to take him away?” Sunshine asked, her cute and innocent face showing concern.
“You don’t want Felix to leave, do you?”
Sunshine sat beside Felix, her expression earnest. “I want to be with Felix. I want to stay with him!”
Agatha knelt before the two children, gently taking their small hands in her own. “Sunshine, as long as Felix doesn’t want to
leave, no one can take him away.”
Sunshine’s eyes filled with delight as she asked, “Really?”
“Absolutely!”
Agatha believed that she would protect Felix this time. His traumatic past had left him with selective mutism.

If Bradley’s feelings for Felix were anything more than obsessive possessiveness and stubbornness, then perhaps he should
remain in this world.
Agatha was already approaching the end of her life and could depart at any time. She was willing to shield Felix and ensure a
bright future for him.
“Grandma Foster, we all need to protect Felix,” Sunshine said.
Felix discreetly typed a message on his phone.
[What about Mommy?]
The adults had told the children that Esther was no longer with them, and the woman now known as Esther was their aunt. Yet
Felix knew the truth as he recognized his mother’s unique scent.
“Mommy will watch over Felix and Sunshine from heaven.”
Sunshine added, “Felix, you don’t need to worry about your aunt. She’s incredible! She could even take down a bear with her
bare hands!”
Agatha’s mouth twitched, and she couldn’t help but wonder just how much Esther had changed if Sunshine believed she could
wrestle a bear barehanded.
Agatha would prefer Esther to be capable of such feats now than returning to her helpless and vulnerable past.
Felix: [But what if Daddy wants to take her away?]
He couldn’t bear to lose his mother again.
He wished for her eternal happiness.
