Chapter 918
Chapter 918 4 I Agatha sighed slightly. "Yes." After ensuring Esther was settled, she immediately went to meet with Gabriel.
"Gabriel." Gabriel slowly poured Agatha a cup of tea. "'I heard about Esther's situation.
The members of the criminal group are more cunning than we thought." "That's not the priority now," Agatha interjected. "I remember you mentioning before that Esther had no childhood memories, right?" "True. She might have witnessed the tragedy firsthand and, due to extreme
shock, lost memories of the incident and the events leading up to it." Gabriel explained. I Agatha closed her eyes, then asked, ""Was Bradley at the scene as well back then?" "How did you know?!" Gabriel exclaimed.
Agatha gulped down the tea in front of her in frustration.
"Shortly after Esther was taken into the operating room today, she said she remembered," Agatha explained. "She mentioned that Bradley led the drug dealers to her home..." Gabriel had never considered this question before. He rubbed his chin, lost in thought.
He remembered finding Esther and
Bradley in a secret chamber in the basement. The children had been unaware of what had happened during the incident after they woke up.
They had consulted a child psychologist at the time, who confirmed that both children had likely undergone excessive trauma, leading to partial memory loss.
Gabriel hadn't anticipated their efforts to suppress Esther's unpleasant memories would inadvertently awaken her deepest recollections.
"Gabriel, how did Bradley and Esther know each other?" Gabriel sighed. "Bradley's father and Esther's father were close friends.
They had a strong bond and had even joked about their children marrying each other someday. This is why, even
after the Ansteys adopted Esther, Thomas did all he could to have Bradley marry her." I Agatha felt an overwhelming headache. She was concerned that if Esther recovered her childhood memories, it might lead to confusion or even the emergence of a new personality.
"If it's true that Bradley led the drug dealers to Esther's parents back then, it means there's an irreconcilable enmity between Bradley and Esther." Gabriel also felt utterly helpless. Fate worked in such mysterious ways, and one never knew when it would deal a heavy blow in life.
"Agatha, observe Esther's situation first. If necessary, we'll release her
from hypnosis." I Gabriel looked at the cup of tea before him. It was clear, its fragrant brew filling the small room.
"If we do that, what about Bradley?" Agatha wasn't opposed to releasing Esther from hypnosis, but she feared that doing so might entangle Esther with Bradley again.
"Only if it's absolutely necessary.
Actually..." Gabriel looked into Agatha's worried eyes and asked something he had been meaning to ask, "I've been pondering... Is all we're doing really right? Regardless of the path Esther chooses in life, shouldn't it be her own choice? Don't you think Esther has the right to choose her own life path?"
