SWNOVELS Chapter THE ANSWER
Uncle James, Adetutu, and Adewale were all terrified of falling into the pit. Uncle James screamed at the top of his voice ″no, no, no. I can’t die now″, just as they were about to fall into the pit. Everyone thought they were all going to die as they peeped at the pit then Adetutu suddenly scream the word ″love″ to Kuntapha, and suddenly they stopped from falling inside the pit.
Adetutu said again to Kuntapha ″the answer is love, Kuntapha″, and they all prayed in their hearts that the answer should be love so they won’t all fall inside the pit except for Fawmus.
″I think the answer is love if we are not falling again″ said uncle James to the others, but still scared.
″The answer is love, Kuntapha″ said Adetutu to Kuntapha for the 3rd time.
″Love, love, love. The answer is right. Welcome to my home″ said Kuntapha to three of them.
Just in a blink of an eye, everything returned to the way it was the first time they got to Kuntapha place. The four of them met themselves standing in front of the stairs that lead to the mountain and they saw the two guards back. The spear the two guards were holding was no longer crossed together but separated. Adetutu, Adewale, and uncle James were all happy and relieved to see everything was back to normal then Fawmus said to Adetutu ″thank you, Deo, for knowing the right answer”.
Adewale moved closer to Adetutu and kissed her forehead happily with a smile to thank her while uncle James sat down on the ground and said to Fawmuw ″next time we are coming here remind me to bring some books along that are full of riddles because this place is a death zone, not a place to come visit anyone″, then Adewale and Adetutu smiled upon hearing that.
As the four of them walked through the stairs leading to the mountain, uncle James stopped everyone and asked Adetutu ″what makes you think love was the answer?″.
″Yeah, I think I wanna know that too″ said Adewale to Adetutu.
″I wasn’t 100% sure it was love at first, I was just 80% sure″ said Adetutu.
″80%″? How were you even that sure?″ Adewale (curiously) asked Adetutu.
″Am also curious″ said Fawmus to Adetutu.
″According to everything Fawmus had told us about ourselves, Leo was always evil. Even though Leo tormented humans and does things that always make Deo sad. It was not even for some time or years, it was years we couldn’t possibly estimate. Deo never leaves Leo’s side or stops loving him, or even thinks of giving up on him. It was also Deo’s love that brought salvation to Leo. Deo couldn’t watch Leo continuing his evil ways and save him from himself. The love that Leo also has for Deo was also his weakness, which was what Fawrus himself was afraid of. Leo’s love for Deo was greater than all the evil Leo has done. You might think it was because of their half hearts that makes them love each other.....″, (Adetutu looked at Adewale), ″but I think even without their half hearts they will still love each other″ said Adetutu to Adewale, Fawmus, and Uncle James.
″Am sure that is 80% sure. What about the other 20%?″ uncle James asked Adetutu.
″Thanks to uncle and A″ said Adetutu.
Uncle James, Adetutu, and Fawmus were confused to hear that. Uncle James asked Adetutu ″Me and Adewale?″
″Yes. Even though we face troubles and might not make it out of this alive, uncle never stopped thinking or talking about his family. How much he loved them, wants to be with them, and missed them, and that is because he love them. Our parents also gave up the happiness and everything in this life by sacrificing themselves for us even when they knew we dying doesn’t means our permanent death and that we don’t truly belong to them. That was also done because they love us. We also can’t stop loving our parents even after they are dead and if there was a way to bring them back to the land of the living we will do it no matter what. Which means love never dies and it is greater than all things″ said Adetutu.
Uncle James, Adetutu, and Fawmus were surprised to hear Adetutu say that and think about that. ″You are absolutely right″ said uncle James to Adetutu.
″How come we didn’t think about that″ said Adewale.
″That is because everything going on right now is something not natural and something we had never encountered before or heard about. Something new to our brains and minds. Our minds already abandoned human lives and thoughts, all we could think about and see now are things that are supernatural and we never thought love itself is supernatural. Love is a feeling that has millions of definitions. Even God didn’t destroy Leo because he loved him and we humans. God didn’t stop loving us after our sins and always wants us to atone for our sins″ said Adetutu.
″Wow. A has become brilliant all of a sudden and you said I helped with the 20% assurance. So what is it that I did?″ Adewale asked Adetutu.
″I heard A when we were all about to fall″ said Adetutu.
″Heard me? That is not supposed because I did not say anything” said Adewale (confused) to Adetutu.
″Yeah I know you didn’t speak but I heard your thoughts. I don’t know how I was able to hear Adewale’s thoughts or if I was hearing things but Adewale’s thought was that he wish there was something he could do to stop from falling with me and uncle″ said Adetutu.
Uncle James and Adewale were shocked and confused upon hearing that. Adewale said to Adetutu ″yeah I did think that but how were you able to read my thought?″.
″I also have no idea. Is there an explanation to that Fawmus″ Adetutu asked Fawmus.
″Yeah. According to Leo’s memory, there was a time you both could read each other thoughts but you were only able to do that because there was something, and that something is what makes you both able to read each other thoughts but Fawrus gets rid of that thing a long time ago″ said Fawmus to the three of them.
″What is that thing?″ uncle James asked Fawmus.
″I have no image of it but if I see it I will recognize it. And that thing was a gift from God to you Leo and Deo″ said Fawmus.
″Can you still read my mind?″ Adewale asked Adetutu.
Adetutu tried to read Adewale’s mind again but couldn’t. Adetutu said to Adewale ″I can’t anymore. Maybe I was only able to read your mind because we thought we were all gonna die and the heart want me to hear about your last wish″.
Adewale smiled and Uncle James said to Adewale ″but wait Adewale. So let’s say you have the power to save one of us from entering the pit so you were gonna save her and let me die. How could you think of such a thing?″
″It’s not what you think, uncle″ said Adewale to uncle James.
″Don’t mind him, uncle. He forgot even if he did save me I will die when he died″ said Adetutu to uncle James.
″I think I need to talk to God that I will also be needing a soulmate that will always be with me in all my lifetimes and will always think of saving me first before anyone else whenever we are in trouble because my life is not safe in you people hands″ said uncle James, and that made Adewale and Adetutu laughed but Fawmus smiled and they all saw that.
Adewale, Adetutu, and uncle James were shocked to see Fawmus smile. Uncle James said to Fawmus ″you just smile right now″.
″What? why that face? It’s not like I was not created with a smile, it just....never mind. Let’s get going″ said Fawmus to the three of them, and walk on.
″Wait, Fawmus. I thought you never smiled and will never be able to smile. How come you just smile?″ uncle James asked Fawmus, as the three of them smile and Fawmus walked on.
″I only smile because the word love was what created me″ said Fawmus to the three of them, without stopping and they continue smiling then followed him.
The four of them got to the top of the mountain and saw a cave. A voice said from inside the cave ″come on in″, then they went into the cave. Upon getting into the cave, they saw a man with full bears, down from his ears to his chin. The man’s hair was also white, and the man was shirtless but wore a trouser. They saw a table in front of the man as the man was seated with his two legs crossed together. They also saw a whole cave decorated with a lot of things they have never seen before. ″Welcome Leo and Deo″ said Kuntapha to the three of them.
