My Guardian Demon

Chapter Future

Dad? Did Elijah just call Nathaniel his dad?

"I didn't know you had a son."

Nathaniel was staring at the boy who looked very similar to him and then back at me. His lips opened slightly, but nothing came out.

"Wha... What," He stammered. "I'm not a dad, I've not even slept with anyone," His cheeks went red.

Aw, he was blushing.

I just want to give them a kiss. Oh my god, I should not be thinking like that. Zac would have my head. Wait who cares what he thinks, stupid, arrogant, hot, liar of a boyfriend.

Nathaniel is dreamy though. Ugh, I hate my thoughts.

"You've not fucked before?" Lewis burst out laughing, earning a glare from me and Nathaniel.

"Lewis," I hissed, stepping over to him to wack the back of his head.

"Just because he doesn't sleep with anything that opens their legs to them like you."

He was still laughing, looking like a beetroot. Clutching his stomach with one of his hands, not even caring that he looked like an absolute idiotic clown.

"I don't want to hear about my dad fucking, excuse my language M... I mean Athena. Although I really need to speak to both of you," Elijah pointed to me and Nathaniel.

Everyone was silent, just staring at the new boy. I reached for my necklace, a warmness radiating of it causing my skin to heat up.

"What on earth are you three doing out here?!" A high pitched screech came from down the hall.

My head snapped towards the sound to see a very red, scary-looking lady I really do not like.

"Oh, hi miss Reynolds," I waved.

"Don't hi me Athena, why are you not in my classroom? Lewis don't even think about sneaking off. Now both of you, in my class now before I send you to the headteacher."

"I'd rather sit with him for an hour instead of you," I muttered. Lewis sniggered.

Nathaniel was still here but he was invisible to our teacher but not to Elijah.

Lewis wrapped his hand around mine to pull us forward but Elijah stopped me, a worried look on his face.

"Please meet me after school, it's really important. Bring him too," I looked behind me to see Nathaniel with his hands in his Jean pockets looking at us both.

I nodded then walked off.

We both sat down ready to start the lesson. Miss Reynolds glaring at us from the front as she read her book.

"I don't think you should be with Zac."

Looking to my left I saw Lewis glancing at me carefully, still writing maths equations so he didn't get caught and have to face the wrath of our devil teacher.

"What?" I whispered.

"He isn't good for you, and to be honest he's a prick," I was about to stab him lightly with my pen.

"Don't hit me or you'll awake that fucking monster in front of our class," He smirked at me.

"You can do so much better, Nathaniel is decent. I actually don't want to rip his head off."

Was he right?

"Although I would be the better option," He gave me a wink, I rolled my eyes and pinched his thigh.

"Lewis."

"I know, I know, Look I love you Athena, and I wouldn't lie to you. Can you honestly see yourself being happy with him? Having a family with him? You deserve the absolute world"

I smiled sadly, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear as I looked at him.

"Thanks, Lewis, but we both know I'm going to die at the end of this war..."

"Don't speak like that," He spoke sternly.

"You are strong, even without whatever powers you've got. You will survive, you need to. You have so many people who love you. You're an idiot sometimes, the clumsiest person I have ever met but you deserve someone who truly loves you and I think we both know who that is."

It was so rare that Lewis was this serious and talking about feelings with me. He usually just flirts all the time.

I think I need to speak to Zac and then Nathaniel but I'm kind of afraid of how he'll react if I break up with him. Although I really need to speak to Elijah as well about the whole dad thing.

My leg was jumping up and down, I really need to speak to the new guy.

Without even thinking I jumped up out of my seat and ran out the door with miss Reynolds shouting my name repeatedly.

Well, I didn't really think this through, I have no idea where he is.

"Athena," Elijah was stood outside the bathroom, a smile on his face.

Before I could move he strode over to me and crushed me into a big hug, I could feel his breath on my neck. For some reason, it felt nice.

Like I've known him for ages.

"I'm so glad your okay, you really need to listen to me."

I stood back to look up at him, he was extremely tall like Nathaniel. Whenever I was with him my neck paid for it.

"What did you want to speak about?t"

"You need to leave Zac, you shouldn't be with him."

How the hell does he know about Zac, in fact, how does he even know about anything?

"What are you talking about, why is that any of your business?" My voice raised a little, but he didn't seem surprised by it.

"You can't be with him, you need to be with Nathaniel. Not that scumbag Zirach." I could hear a low growl escape his mouth.

"You don't know anything, you don't know me."

"Yes, I do," Elijah yelled, slamming his hand against the wall.

Nathaniel suddenly appeared in front of me, making sure there was space between me and Elijah who looked really frustrated.

"You don't understand if you chose Zac, the Demons over dad Arlo and I won't exist anymore."

"What," I squeaked. A throbbing headache making things blurry.

"Your my mum" He rushed out.
