My Fiance Ran Away On Our Wedding Day

Chapter 86

Anika heard about Demi’s family after she transferred to another school and left Misty Bridge.
Demi's parents divorced, and her mother was childless.
Her father established a factory in the province and left her in the care of his grandmother, rarely returning to see her.
She wasn't as cunning, but her so-called friends, who always snubbed her because of her wealth, influenced her.
She made an impression as a pain in the ass because she was arrogant and dominant.
Demi had once felt sorry for her, but times had changed, and she had already received the lesson she deserved.
For the culprit, she didn't count.
Anika didn't want to cause trouble for anyone anymore.
So she nodded, "That's good."
"I already said what I needed to.I should go now."
Demi gently nodded and said goodbye to Anika.
She paused as if she remembered something and asked, "Oh right, are you and Zac in good terms?"
Anika did not expect Demi to ask this, but she smiled and replied softly when she thought of Zac.
Demi also smiled and said, "That's good. When he took you out of the equipment room, I felt he treated you differently.I wish you
all well’ Anika frowned slightly and raised her eyes to look at her.
"What did you say?"
The reunion was almost over when she got news from Zac.
Anika was still thinking about her last conversation with Demi as she followed everyone out of the restaurant.
On a cool night, it rained.
The evening breeze blew by, and the moist mist blew droplets of water onto her face.

The coolness awakened Anika's consciousness.
Anika subconsciously looked at her phone.
Today's party drew a large crowd.
The boys who had consumed alcohol were waiting for a substitute driver, or they would have to send the few who hadn't
consumed alcohol on their way.
Standing at the restaurant entrance, Marge turned and asked her, "Did you drive?"
"No.” Anika answered.
When she came, the driver picked her up at the villa.
"Do you want me to drive you? Where do you live?" Marge asked kindly.
Just as Anika was about to say something, the surrounding noise subsided, and the chatter gradually stopped.
Not far away, that familiar figure came into view.
Zac had a stoic face and an excellent temperament.
He had on a straight suit, and a dark grey woolen overcoat walked calmly towards the crowd.
It rained, and he held a black umbrella.
Anika locked at the figure approaching her slowly and unhurriedly.
Everything around her seemed to come to a stop while she was in a trance.
Zac's handsome brows from afar gradually reminded her of his faint impression in those good old days.
Anika regained consciousness only after Zac put his coat on her.
She heard his faint voice.
"It's over? Then let's go."
She turned around and smiled as she nodded at Marge, "There's no need to bother. You should go back and have fun.I'll go first."

Zac nodded his head and greeted the crowd calmly.
He then grabbed Anika, and they walked over to the Bentley parked nearby.
"Why didn't you think Anika and Zac would make a good couple before?"
Nash broke the silence as the couple's shadows faded into the darkness.
"Nonsense. How can a serious husband and wife not be a suitable match?" Tanner looked at him with contempt.
"Didn't you say at the wedding that he used to be in the bridegroom to steal Kayden's wife?" Nash chuckled.
However, no one else heard this.
"Everything is in order.Anika is now Zac's wife. You'd better be clever and insightful. They're the ones we'll be flattering’ Nash
gently tugged at the corner of his mouth with disdain, "It's as if your brain, which is second from bottom, must be stronger than
mine"
"What, you forgot my college entrance exam scored five points higher than yours? Our brains are separated by the heavens."
Tanner slapped his good friend on the back.He said arrogantly.
"It is indeed five points higher than mine.I got two hundred and fifty points."
"Bug off!" Tanner said.
Anika silently looked out the car window on the way back, Demi's words echoing in her ears.
"He had you admitted to the hospital. He took a phone call from home after the doctor say you were fine. His expression was a
little off.He didn't wait for you to wake up before he left “
‘‘So it was him.It was actually him’’ Anika thought.
Anika's engrossed thoughts lengthened as she gazed at the dim lights in the bustling night scenery.
She suddenly recalled her sophomore year.
Before she transferred to LZ, Anika had been studying in a high school in the county.

She worked hard and got good grades in the county.
However, after she transferred to Misty Middle School, she had her first blow when she saw the test results of the monthly exam.
It was the first time Anika had always been at the top and got a low-average result.
The county's and Misty Bridge's educational resources were completely incomparable to the students’ excellence.
Oliver Cooper pretended to be a good person and found Anika a tutor after cautiously telling her grandfather at the dinner table
that she couldn't keep up with her classmates.
However, the tutor only asked her a few basic questions that did nothing to help her improve her performance.
Later, the Coopers wanted Shawn to tutor her as if they wanted Shawn to get along with girls.
Oliver Cooper was good at reasoning.
Anika didn't want her grandfather to think that she was a willful child, so she could only ask Kayden, who didn't have any ill
intentions towards her.
Kayden gave her his notes and instructed her on some learning methods.
During recess, Anika would occasionally go to the next class to ask Kayden questions.
She only regarded Kayden as an example of hard work.
Kayden was only an example of hard work to her.
Even though he had a favorable impression of Kayden, she had no other thoughts.
However, her actions had aroused dissatisfaction with others.
Anika had just transferred to another school and usually only wore a school uniform.
She looked like a country bumpkin.
There weren't many people in the school who knew her.
But many girls liked Kayden; Yasmin Simpson was one of them.

She did not dare to offend Lucy Cooper, but it dissatisfied her that Anika, who had suddenly appeared, had frequent contact with
Kayden.
Yasmin became close to Demi.
Yasmin had planned to teach Anika a lesson because she knew Anika had offended Demi because of Alena.
Yasmin encouraged Demi to find someone to borrow something in PE class and lock Anika in the equipment room after school
one day.
Demi wanted to teach Anika a lesson, but she only wanted to lock her up for an hour or two and release her.
But when Demi was about to release her, Yasmin said she had lost the key to the equipment room.
Not only that, but Yasmin also carried Demi on her back to block the ventilation of the equipment room.
There were a lot of things stored in the equipment room.
It was dusty, and it had no ventilation.
Anika had not suffered from asthma for a long time.
It was early winter, and the Misty Bridge was already freezing at night.
Anika's consciousness faded gradually as she felt the darkness consume her, causing her to feel despair.
Before she fainted, she only remembered that she saw someone dressed in a suit kick open the equipment room door and carry
her out.
When he woke up again, Kayden, Kayleigh, and Oliver Cooper were in front of the hospital bed.
Kayden went to the speech contest that day and didn't go to school.
He was still wearing formal clothes.
Anika thought that the person who saved her was Kayden, but because Oliver Cooper was also in the ward, she said nothing
else.
However, Demi said that she had followed Zac to the hospital that day.

She didn't dare to show herself in the face of such a calamity.
After the doctor said Anika was fine, and she saw Kayden rushing to the hospital with Oliver Cooper, she left with a fluke in her
heart.
Anika later overheard Kayleigh mention Georgia and Grayson’'s second wedding.
Despite this, Zac ran away from his father and stepmother's wedding, humiliating Georgia and being beaten up by Grayson.
She only assumed that he disliked Georgia as a stepmother and was unconcerned about it.
The Bentley stopped in front of the villa.
Anika followed Zac out of the car and said nothing until she got to the villa.
"What's wrong? Why are you so quiet?"
Zac noticed her silence and patted her head.
He raised his eyebrows cynically and said with a smile, "Did you meet your old classmates and recall the past?"
Anika said nothing.
She quietly raised her eyes and stared at the man's eyebrows.
The twenty-seven-year-old man was like the one she remembered, but he had lost his high school adolescence as if he wasn't
as sharp as he was.
