lan held the steering wheel, humming a tune with a relaxed look on his face. 

Compared to that, Kristin was filled with fear and anxiety. 

Upon seeing this, lan confidently said with a smile, “Don’t worry, Ms. Thompson, Magnus is quite capable. That poor wretch couldn’t do anything to 

him.” 

Hearing him call her “Ms. Thompson” again, Kristin’s face turned red and she felt less nervous. 

“Can lask you some questions?” 

“Feel free to ask, Ms. Thompson,” lan said with a laugh. 

Kristin nodded and asked, “Could you tell me about his past experiences?” 

“You mentioned Magnus?” lan paused for a moment and asked, “Didn’t he tell you?”

“Well, I guess I shouldn’t say too much then.” lan seemed carefree, but he was actually very c

Since Magnus didn’t say anything, he didn’t want Kristin to know too much. 

So, it was naturally not convenient for him to say. 

Kristin was a bit disappointed and asked, “Can you tell me how you two met?” 

“We met abroad.” lan didn’t hide this fact. 

He paused for a moment, then added, “Ms. Thompson, it’s better not to ask too much about Magnus‘ past. Just focus on living a good life from now on.” 

“I–I was with him…” Kristin hesitated to speak.

“What?” lan was taken aback. “A superior–subordinate relationship? Are you Magnus‘ secretary?”

“Are you Magnus‘ fiancée? We never heard him mention you before!” lan exclaimed, as if he had discovered something shocking.

“He cares about you!” lan laughed. 

Upon hearing this, Kristin felt a faint sweetness in her heart. 

Meanwhile, Theodore saw two women getting out of the car, and his face suddenly changed. 

Because one of the women was his fiancée, Sherise 

At that moment, he suddenly felt as if he had been cheated on. 

But before he could get angry, he heard another woman roar, “Theodore, if you dare touch him, see if I won’t kill you!” 

If an ordinary person dared to speak to him like that, Theodore would definitely show them what ‘regret‘ meant. 

But he didn’t dare to confront the woman in front of him! 

Magnus looked at the incredibly domineering Xylia, the corner of his mouth raising into a curve. 

The moment Theodore got out of the car, he secretly sent a text message to Xylia.

Xylia gripped the steering wheel and glanced at him, curiously asking, “Who? A wealthy woman supporting you?” 

“Fuck off!” Magnus said irritably. 

He hated it when people called him a gigolo! 

“What do you mean ‘fierce‘? I saved you tonight!” Xylia was immediately unhappy with Magnus‘ attitude. 

“Xylia, stop talking.” Sherise advised. 

Magnus sneered and said, “Both of you listen to me carefully, settle things with Theodore as soon as possible, or else, you’ll have to protect me 24 a day.” 

“What did you say?” Xylia raised her beautiful eyes. 

“Would I have made an enemy with that guy if it weren’t for you?” Magnus chuckled. “Protecting me is your responsibility, and it’s best if it’s close protection…”
