My Ex-wife’s Hidden Personalities ( Freya Kaufmann )

Chapter 457 Such a Great Opportunity!

Chapter 457 Such a Great Opportunity!

With an affectionate gaze, Radley took Freya’s hand and checked it.

Freya kept her eyes lowered. “But Danna is back. That’s the troublesome part. We resolved Helga’s issue this time, but Danna…”

Even though she had guided Helga into revealing that Darrin helped her escape legal consequences, with Darrin’s methods, he could easily make Helga change her statement. Without concrete evidence, things. could become complicated.

Freya leaned back in her seat, furrowing her brow. “Radley, when do you think Danna encountered Darrin after she escaped?”

Radley ruffled her hair and answered, “I don’t know, but rest assured, I’ll make sure both Danna and Darrin pay for what they did.”

The car continued to drive smoothly.

At 5:30 p.m., the banquet concluded. In Darrin’s car, a swollen-faced Helga sat in the front passenger seat while Danna and Darrin sat side by side at the back. The atmosphere in the car was tense.

With furrowed brows, Darrin looked at Helga in the front seat. “What in the world is it that you insist on discussing it at my place? Couldn’t you have said it back in the hall?”

Helga trembled and tightly clenched her hands. Darrin was her sole financial support now, and if she told him that she had accidentally revealed his involvement in helping her, he would likely abandon her. Going to Darrin’s place meant that even if she kneeled on the ground, nobody would see it, and no walls had ears there.

Sitting beside Darrin, Danna whispered softly, trying to console him. “Come on, darling, don’t be angry. Look at Helga’s swollen face; she was probably bullied by Miss Kaufmann.”

Darrin scoffed, “I used to think that Freya Kaufmann had some abilities and was a bit cunning. I never thought she would lose her temper and resort to physical violence.”

Danna’s eyes flickered subtly. She had a strong feeling that the situation wasn’t as simple as it appeared. Freya had caused her numerous setbacks. If it weren’t for Darrin, this old pervert, she might not have been able to recover from her failures.

No, she was beyond recovery. She was bound to this pervert who had forced her into boob jobs and butt implants for the rest of her life.

The car returned to the Donnelly Residence, and Helga followed Darrin and Danna into the living room. After all the servants had withdrawn. Darrin lazily sat on the sofa with an arm around Danna.

“So, what’s the matter? Spit it out!” he looked at Helga with zero patience.

Standing in front of Darrin, Helga clenched her teeth. Speaking meant facing Darrin’s anger, while not Darrin found out by himself. Time was running speaking would result in a more serious situation one Out.

Helga gritted her teeth and knelt down directly in front of Darrin, who was taken aback. “What are you doing? Melodic, help her up.”

Danna got up to console Helga. “Helga, whatever the issue is, just tell us. We’re partners, so there’s no need for this.”

Calling it a partnership was just a polite way to describe it. Nevertheless, the words of comfort gave Helga a bit more courage. She didn’t get up but remained on her knees in front of Darrin. Gritting her teeth, she began, “Mr. Donnelly, at the banquet today, that wretched Freya Kaufmann found me and said she wanted to settle the issue of copying the formula chart privately…”

Danna frowned, having an ominous feeling.

Helga continued to explain. As Darrin heard that Helga had insulted Freya, fallen into her trap, and then faced the threat of exposing the issue, his anger was no longer concealed.

“You motherf*cking idiot! How have you survived so long in the business world with such a brain? Some things should be kept to yourself and only yourself forever. Your momentary verbal victory will only end up hurting you!”

Helga twisted her hands, and Danna’s face had turned cold. Her thoughts were in line with Darrin’s. Helga, you idiot. This was a golden opportunity, and Freya wouldn’t have any evidence to back her claims. They could either cancel the fragrance launch, signaling Freya’s guilt or proceed and sue. Such a fantastic opportunity!

Danna clenched her palms, glaring at Helga with hatred.

Helga didn’t notice Danna’s gaze. She struggled to speak. “I… I left out one thing-

“What is it?” Darrin interrupted her impatiently. After a moment of silence and seeing Helga’s fearful and hesitant expression, he had a foreboding feeling. He almost instantly thought of what she might be referring to.

“What the f*ck is it?!” Darrin’s entire demeanor changed. He glared maliciously at Helga.

“It’s about the incident when you saved me. It was Freya Kaufmann. She deliberately tricked me into talking—ah!”

Darrin raised his foot and delivered a heavy kick to Helga’s chest, filled with anger and strength. The woman was almost sent tumbling by the force of the kick. Danna, who was helping Helga, was also affected and fell to the ground.

“M-Mr. Donnelly-”

Darrin wouldn’t listen to anything anymore. He grabbed objects from the table and started throwing them at Helga. “You worthless piece of sh*t! Why don’t you just die? If you want to die so badly, go do it without implicating me! D*mn you!”

After throwing everything within his reach, Darrin was still not satisfied. He rushed to the side and grabbed a golf club.

In despair, Helga covered her head. “Mr. Donnelly, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry!”

Danna had already retreated, watching Helga rolling on the ground with cold, unfeeling eyes.

That day, Helga had the chance to leave when the trouble began, but she chose not to. She would rather endure the beating and even death than lose Darrin’s support.

Danna pursed her lips. Despite the regrettable loss of this golden opportunity, they had already suffered enough losses. Although Helga was to blame, she shared Danna’s hatred for Freya. That would be enough.

Danna forced herself to temporarily set aside her thoughts about Helga’s foolishness and turned to face Darrin. She approached him and tried to intervene. “Honey, don’t be so angry. Helga didn’t do it on purpose,” she spoke gently. However, Darrin turned around and delivered a direct slap to her face.

Danna fell back onto the sofa, holding her face in disbelief, staring at Darrin, who pointed his finger at her and said, “D*mn it, I was just trying to help you. You provided the plan, and I provided the money. Yet, you brought such an idiot! Are you trying to ruin me?!”

Chills ran down Danna’s spine. Although Darrin was rough and kinky in bed, he was still normally gentle toward her. In fact, he would even condone her, or she wouldn’t have chosen to stick to this

pervert. However, his true colors began showing after they married. He even attacked her this time.

Danna watched the angry, bloodshot eyes of Darrin. His aging body, marked by years of smoking. produced a grumbling sound in his throat due to chronic pharyngitis.

“Sorry, honey,” Danna spoke with her palms clutched. However, Darrin wasn’t easily appeased. “D”mn it, Radley Monaghan and Freya Kaufmann have so much leverage on me!”

Danna insisted, “Honey, it’s just nonsense from Helga. They can’t do anything without evidence.”

Darrin shouted in anger, “So you think it’s worth risking my reputation for?! This stupid b*tch is ruining my reputation!”

Meanwhile, Helga lay on the ground, battered and bruised, too scared to move.
