My Ex-wife’s Hidden Personalities ( Freya Kaufmann )

Chapter 387 Must Gather Manpower and Resources

Chapter 387 Must Gather Manpower and Resources

Moonblade felt a deep pang of sadness, as though the man she idolized had completely ignored her.

However, Jamie noticed her gaze and smirked without saying anything.

Soon, their convoy in a grand departure.

On a quiet country road, dozens of people lay scattered about. This village had received official approval for reconstruction, and its residents had been relocated to a distant town. In the dead of night, the road was deserted, with only moonlight illuminating the figures on the ground.

At dawn, a pickup truck appeared on the road, carrying several young people who chatted and laughed.

“This camping trip is gonna be a blast. I heard there might be wolves up in Mount Lanpo by the river. Can’t wait to find out,” the girl in the backseat giggled.

As they chatted, the car suddenly stopped.

“What’s going on?” someone asked.

The young man at the wheel panicked and pointed ahead. Only then did everyone notice a dozen cars. parked on the road.

Even more horrifying, next to these cars were dozens of bodies scattered on the ground. The scene was spine-chilling on this remote country road.

“What the heck is happening?”

“Should we call the police?”

“This looks bad. Did we stumble upon a crime scene?”

One of the boys calmed down, stepped out of the car, surveyed the area, and reached for his phone. “We better call the police.” Just as he finished speaking, he noticed a figure trembling as it stood in the distance.

After a night of exposure to dew and moisture, Inken’s body was damp as he glared in the direction the convoy had departed. After a moment, he nudged Brisa beside him.

“Holy shit, the dead are coming back to life!” one of the boys exclaimed.

Inken turned his attention to the youngsters in the pickup truck. “Mind your own business and leave this place,” he said with a cold, eerie tone.

The youngsters quickly hopped into the car and sped away.

Inken woke up Brisa, and it didn’t take long for her to recall everything. She turned to him urgently. “Where’s Frey?”

His expression grew colder. “First, wake everyone up. Frey has already been taken by them.”

“I need to go after them!” she replied resolutely.

He held her hand firmly. “Calm down. Where can you chase them now? They left hours ago.” He knew those people could have easily arranged for transportation, maybe even a helicopter. Several hours were enough for them to take Freya to Florin or even abroad. He clenched his teeth, recalling her plea before she left, waiting for him to rescue her.

“Don’t worry, we will rescue Freya,” he said, burdened by the weight of the situation. He couldn’t help but acknowledge the exceptional hiding skills of Strategist and his team, evidenced by their unnoticed stay in Caltun. Unfortunately, they had taken Freya, and the search area had expanded. The challenge had become even more daunting.

Brisa’s eyes turned red. “If it weren’t for me, those people wouldn’t have taken Freya. They used me as bait. I’m going after Strategist myself.

“Let’s focus on waking up our people for now,” Inken suggested. They split up, rousing everyone they had. brought along. He knew the effects of the enemy’s drugged bullets should be wearing off soon.

As Michael regained consciousness, he noticed his leg wounds had been treated and bandaged. He clenched his teeth. “Those people did this intentionally. Why didn’t they just kill us?”

Inken turned to him and said, “They didn’t dare to.”

“GS sacrificed herself for us.” Michael’s hands clawed at the ground in anger. He couldn’t let his brother’s killer escape, yet the bandaged wounds on his legs seemed to taunt his helplessness.”

Inken furrowed his brow, sensing something was amiss about the previous day’s events. If the other party had used tranquilizer bullets to delay them and prevent them from contacting more people, including Radley’s associates, then why spare their lives? Were they afraid Freya wouldn’t reveal the book’s location? In that case, they should have used them to pressure her. The other side seemed concerned about something, but he couldn’t figure it out.

Then, he helped Michael up, urging, “Don’t destroy your hands like this. Don’t you want to avenge Eugene?”

“Boss, what’s our next move?” Michael asked, blood dripping from his lips.

Inken’s face turned cold as he looked into the distance. “We need to gather all our manpower and resources.

At 9 o’clock in the morning. Radley sat restlessly in a conference room, listening to executives reporting their work. After the meeting, he walked out and spotted Connor waiting nearby.

“Mr. Monaghan, Mr. Callahan from the Callahan Group is here.”

“The Callahan Group?” Radley’s eyes widened. He suspected Inken’s identity and his connection to Freya. He worried something had happened to her and quickly returned to his office.

Meanwhile, Inken sat on the couch in the office, his expression grim.

Radley’s heart raced as he saw the state Inken was in. He instinctively reached for his phone.

However, Inken stopped him, saying, “Don’t make the call. Freya has been kidnapped by the LEV organization.”

Radley dropped the receiver, his voice icy. “When and where?”

Inken replied, “It happened in the wee hours.”

A chill ran through Radley. Though the sun shone outside, he felt trapped in an icy abyss. He asked. “What were you doing before this happened?”

By now, it was already ten in the morning.

Inken hesitated before saying. “If you’re willing, come with me to the Kaufmann Group. I’ll explain everything on the way.” He planned to gather the Green Flamation forum, the Kaufmanns, and the Monaghans to search for Freya.

Half an hour later, Radley’s car swiftly pulled up in front of the Kaufmann Group’s building.

Inken got out of the passenger seat, and a hint of anger flashed in Radley’s eyes as he glanced at him. Then, he entered the Kaufmann Group, with Inken following closely.

Meanwhile, Braxton was deeply engrossed in work. When he saw the two of them entering together, his brows furrowed. “What’s going on?” he inquired.

Inken calmly explained what had transpired the previous night, and Braxton’s composed demeanor gradually gave way to anger.
