My Ex-wife’s Hidden Personalities ( Freya Kaufmann )

Chapter 368 Discovering the Target

Chapter 368 Discovering the Target

“Rewind it again!” Freya shouted sternly.

Inken’s face turned grim. “It’s no use. This person is far away in the first place, and it seems like he’s a professional who has undergone countersurveillance training.”

Freya’s heart sank. “When did he appear near the Kaufmann Residence? We didn’t even notice.”

“If he could be easily discovered, he wouldn’t have been able to hide in the dark for so long and cause you so much suffering.” As he spoke, he began to track the target. “But Caltun is not that big. He should have left some traces!”

It hadn’t been long since the person took the phone, not long enough for him to safely leave Caltun, at

least.

However, halfway through the pursuit, Inken unexpectedly encountered a situation where the surveillance was damaged.

“How could this be? The surveillance just happened to be damaged? Something fishy must be going on here.” Freya frowned.

Inkén helplessly rubbed his forehead. “Well, what do you suggest we do? Storm into the Caltun city hall and ask? What would you ask them? ‘Why is your surveillance damaged? There’s no point for us to hack your system anymore? Is that it?”

Freya couldn’t help chuckling. “I’m surprised you’re still in the mood for jokes.”

Currently, nearly half of the forces of the Green Flamation forum were lurking in Caltun, waiting for the target to appear.

Unfortunately, they weren’t prepared for such an unexpected incident.

Inken took out his phone and sent out the latest mission to all the Green Flamation forum members lurking in Caltun.

He sent the photo from the surveillance to everyone. Despite the photo being restored using photo restoration techniques, only a small part of the side profile could be seen clearly.

Freya didn’t have confidence in remembering this face. It was too ordinary, so ordinary that it sent a chill down her spine.

Soon, the members of the Green Flamation forum responded one by one.

Her phone beeped, and she took it out to take a look.

There was a discussion among the tier two members of the Green Flamation forum-Eugene, Michael, and Jakob-in the chat group.

Eugene swore, ‘F*cking hell, nearly all of us from the Green Flamation forum are gathered in Caltun. If we can’t catch this guy, how can we face GS?’

Michael said, ‘GS is in this chat group. Stop cursing.”

Jakob asked, “Where are you two now? I’m searching in East Geft.”

Freya chuckled at the conversation between these people, but she still had some worries. Caltun was big. and this widespread search could potentially leave behind significant loopholes.

Caltun General Hospital.

Ethan stood beside Radley’s hospital bed, sweat dripping from his forehead.

The person on the bed had an overwhelming presence, with deep eyes and a sharp gaze.

“Dr. Griffiths, let me repeat it again: I want to be discharged and go home to rest.”

“But if you’re discharged, we won’t be able to monitor the recovery of your legs. Ethan looked worried. “How about this, I’ll call Miss Kaufmann. If she agrees, then I’ll agree.”

“Don’t call her,” said Radley, his gaze sweeping over Ethan. “Dr. Griffiths, I know that my legs will recover, and you have been a great help. So, I’m kindly asking for your permission now. If you insist on not letting me be discharged, then I’ll have to take another approach.”

Ethan wanted to ask what other approach he was referring to, but when he met Radley’s cold eyes, he instantly remembered the incident when Freya came to his office to ask for Radley’s examination records.

The scene of the flower stand being shattered in a single move flashed in his mind.

These two are a perfect match! Ethan clenched his teeth.

“Your legs are currently in a critical recovery period. If anything goes wrong…

“Dr. Griffiths, don’t worry. Even if I have to use a wheelchair for a while, I will come to the hospital regularly for checkups,” Radley said calmly.

At this point, Ethan had nothing else to say. He couldn’t really force him to stay, or else Radley might end up tying him up in the ward and forcefully leaving…

“Alright, alright.”

Radley called out to the door, and Connor quickly came in with an electric wheelchair.

Supporting himself with both arms, he got off the bed and sat in the wheelchair.

Even in his weakened state, the man’s keen, piercing aura couldn’t be concealed.

Ethan still couldn’t help but worry.

“Mr. Monaghan, before your legs recover, don’t spend more than thirty minutes on rehabilitation each day. Otherwise, there might be irreversible complications.”

Radley nodded and had Connor push him out.

Knowing there was great danger ahead, he couldn’t let Freya face it alone.

“How’s the company been lately?” Radley asked.

Pushing Radley in the wheelchair, Connor replied respectfully, “The internal struggle in the company is coming to an end. Everyone is saying that Mr. Zuckerberg will come out on top in the end.”

“He hid it well” Radley sneered

It’s been long enough. Time to do some spring cleaning

In the following week, the entire city of Calum was filled with a sense of impending storm.

Many prominent families had also realized that a large number of people had secretly infiltrated Calum

Considering the recent arson incident at the Kaufmann Residence, everyone understood that something big must be happening.

It was the weekend.

On Winston Street, Road No. 42, Eugene and Michael sat by the street-side breakfast stall, eating small dumplings.

Michael frowned. “Hurry up and finish it. We still have to go on patrol after this. And how old are you? Why do you still like to eat these thin

Eugene ignored his brother’s words and leisurely enjoyed the small dumplings,

“Michael, to tell you the truth, I suspect no one’s hiding in West Geft at all. I’ve already analyzed it yesterday. West Geft was jointly developed by the Monaghan and Kaufmann families, and both families are very familiar with this area. Didn’t GS say before that she could draw the layout of West Geft even with her eyes closed? In my opinion, East Geft, where Jakol is assigned, is the most dangerous area. I heard that there was a person there yesterday who looked very similar to the man in the surveillance footage, but they lost track of him again.”

As Eugene spoke, he continued to cat the dumplings, feeling somewhat annoyed.

“I told you we should’ve been assigned to East Geft! If I were in East Geft, that b*stard would never escape from my hands. I’m a sharpshooter, you know!”

Michael didn’t pay much attention to his brother’s grievances.

Calmly, he answered, “Jakob is also a skilled member of the Green Flamation forum. His marksmanship is on par with yours. Since GS has assigned us to guard the West Geftarea, we should simply follow orders.”

The two conversed for a while, and by the time they finished breakfast, it was already half past eight. Michael and Eugene resumed their patrol.

As they arrived at a residential area, Eugene raised his head and glanced at the name of the neighborhood.

“It appears that this neighborhood was reconstructed from a shantytown and distributed for free. GS is truly benevolent.”

Michael nodded and gazed toward the neighborhood. Suddenly, he noticed a man exiting a nearby convenience store.

The man had an ordinary appearance, holding a plastic bag in his hand with a box of cigarettes inside.

Michael only cast a brief glance at him before immediately looking away.

Michael and Eugene continued walking forward, and after walking some distance away, Michael turned his head once again.

The man with the cigarettes had already disappeared in front of the neighborhood.

“We have to go back!” Michael ordered coldly as he took out his phone.

Eugene looked at his brother’s expression and knew that something was amiss. “What’s wrong, Michael? Did you notice something?”

Eugene turned his head to look at the sidewalk next to the neighborhood’s gate, but there was nothing. unusual about the people passing by.

Michael had already called Freya. “GS, I found the man. He just entered Sunshine Neighborhood of West Geft!”

At Kaufmann Residence, Freya immediately stood up. “Good, I’ll contact Ink now. You guys be on standby

and wait for us there!”

After hanging up the phone, she immediately contacted Inken.

In front of Sunshine Neighborhood, Eugene was standing next to Michael, and he had also heard the contents of Michael’s call.

“Michael, what did GS say? Should we go ahead and catch the man now?” As he spoke, Eugene looked eager to take action.

Michael looked around. “Let’s go to that bakery over there and keep an eye on the entrance of the neighborhood. GS told us to wait for them and be on standby.”

“Standby?” Eugene frowned unhappily. “What’s the use of just watching the entrance? What if that person runs away from other exits? This neighborhood is so big. There are several other gates!”

Michael said coldly, “Just listen to GS.”

Eugene followed Michael to the bakery, feeling sulky. He had just finished eating dumplings and couldn’t stuff any more food.

Michael’s gaze was fixed on the gate of the neighborhood.

Eugene thought for a moment and looked up at Michael. “Say, Michael, GS told us to be on standby because she’s worried about alarming that person. But today, we didn’t bring any equipment with us when we came out. Even if GS arrives later, we won’t be able to help much.”

That’s true.” Michael thought for a moment. “There’s some equipment in the car we came in. Go get them jow, but make sure nobody notices.”

Leave it to me!” Eugene patted his chest and got up to leave the bakery.

Time passed minute by minute.

n order to avoid the infiltration of the enemy’s spies into the Green Flamation forum, Freya and Inken. decided to travel lightly and only contacted Jakob and a few other trustworthy members of the Green. lamation forum before driving to Sunshine Neighborhood in West Geft.
