Chapter 42
Chapter 42
The Sullivan family!
It was in complete disarray.
After Charlotte married Zachary, what the Sullivan family saw was Mary’s indifferent attitude towards Charlotte.
It was obvious that Mary didn’t like Charlotte, but now she was…!
Mary hit Annie after Charlotte had told her that the baby had died because of Annie’s disease.
Zachary took Annie and left.
This time. Zachary and his family were on the outs.
In the hospital.
Annie kept sobbing, and she looked very aggrieved.
The doctor treated Annie’s wound carefully. Zachary didn’t say anything the whole
time.
Then.
The doctor said to Zachary respectfully, “It’s going to scar!”
Annie’s cries were even more uncontrollable.
Annie was happy to see Zachary and the Sullivan family at odds today! But her face…
Annie was helpless…
The most important thing about a woman was her face.
Annie had been closest to Zachary for years, so she knew what kind of girls he was around.
And if Annie did get ugly scars on her face….
Zachary was annoyed by Annie’s cries.
Then Zachary asked in a deep, bleak voice. “There’s no way to fix it?”

“We can only make the scar lighter. It’s impossible to get rid of a scar that deep!”
Zachary didn’t say anything.
“At least not in our hospital! The doctor thought for a while and added.
How hard did Mary hit Annic!
How Mary hated Annie’s face…
Zachary did not know that Mary hated Annie for another reason. Mary would kill Annie if she could.
The night was beautiful.
The sound of nature quietened the heart. Charlotte prepared for the exposition.
In recent years. Charlotte had taken every exposition, big or small, very seriously.
Suddenly, Charlotte heard a car outside. Then soon Julie’s voice came.
“Mr. Sullivan is coming.”
Charlotte frowned!
Charlotte put down her pen and got up to open the door.
“Where is he?”
“Downstairs. He doesn’t seem happy.”
Charlotte was speechless.
Zachary didn’t just rush upstairs to confront her.
Charlotte said, “I see. You can leave.”
“Okay.”
Julie left.
Charlotte hesitated at the door, then turned and entered the room.
Charlotte took two copies of the agreement and went downstairs.
Downstairs in the living room!

Zachary sat on the vintage sofa. It made Zachary have an extraordinary. temperament.
Zachary was really handsome and charming.
Looking at Charlotte….
Zachary gave Charlotte a cold, dangerous look.
Charlotte walked across from Zachary and sat down on the couch. She placed the papers on the coffee table and pushed them toward Zachary!
Charlotte felt sure.
“Helpless?” Charlotte spoke first, with sarcasm in her voice.
Then…
Zachary was angrier.
Zachary’s eyes made it impossible to tell what he was thinking.
Charlotte couldn’t read Zachary’s eyes.
Zachary was so mysterious.
Charlotte thought she had met a lot of people over the years, and their eyes always told her exactly what they wanted.
But Charlotte never seemed to understand Zachary.
Just as it was.
Charlotte thought Zachary was definitely responsible for the marriage, even if he didn’t love Charlotte.
But the reality was different.
Zachary wasn’t responsible for the marriage.
“What do you mean?” Zachary said, pushing the butt into the ashtray.
Zachary’s voice was very magnetic.
Charlotte said, “Zachary, don’t blame me!”
Zachary didn’t say anything…

What?
In recent years, no one in the Sullivan family except grandpa knew that Annie needed Charlotte for her illness.
His grandfather kept this secret until his death. However, While Charlotte fought for divorce, the Sullivan family couldn’t accept Annie.
“You are cruel!”
Zachary’s tone was still deep. It was a big problem for them, but Zachary seemed nonchalant.
“Well, how do I make sense of it?”
How?
Charlotte laughed.
“Easy! Because of the way you treated me three years ago, even if I don’t be with you now, Annie can’t be around you in a justifiable way.”
Charlotte was cruel!
It was cruel to Annie.
Annie went to great lengths to get what she wanted.
But Annie lost her dignity.
What did Charlotte do?
So what if Annie was with Zachary right now? So, what if Zachary married her?
Without the recognition of the Sullivan family, the social circle of the upper class. was not so simple for Annie.
Annie would always be an outsider in that circle.
Over time, Annie would see the light.
“I didn’t realize you were so cruel!” Zachary said.
Charlotte said, “I was kind!”
Charlotte’s tone was calm as never before.

Yes!
She was kind!
“But you’ve taught me that I can’t be too kind sometimes. Otherwise, I can’t even protect myself.”
Then…
Zachary’s face changed.
Charlotte chuckled as she pushed the papers toward him. “Sign it, and I’ll help her
from it.
It was a divorce agreement.
After returning home. Charlotte learned that Zachary didn’t distance himself from her. If Jerry hadn’t stopped her, she would have been eager to get rid of Zachary immediately.
