My Ex-Boyfriend’s Brothers: Chapter 37
Knocking on my door jarred me awake and had me stumbling over multiple male bodies to get out of bed. I pulled on Jackson’s robe and grabbed my phone, terrified that I’d slept through an important meeting. It was just after eight in the morning and I didn’t have anything until ten that day. I was in such a daze that I pulled the door open without a second thought for those male bodies I’d tripped over.
Christina stood on the other side, a bright smile on her face and a to-go cup of coffee in her hand. “I woke you up! I’m so-”
I watched her eyes shift to the room behind me and widen. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw that all three of the older Heath brothers were in plain sight, still sleeping soundly. I slowly turned back to her in true horror movie fashion and cleared my throat. “Um…”
She grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room. She did a little happy dance and then shoved the coffee at me. “Holy shit. I mean… Holy shit, Maggie! You bagged all three of the older brothers? My bridesmaids are going to be devastated.”
I covered my face with my free hand. “I can’t believe I just opened the door like that. Please don’t tell anyone. I’m so embarrassed.”
She shook her head. “No, girl. Don’t be embarrassed. You should be flaunting your stuff all over this lodge. You’re a badass! I need to hear everything. Absolutely everything and if you leave out a single detail, I’ll know.”
“I don’t know how to explain. I… Oh, god. I just woke up and my mind is imploding.” I took a long drink of the coffee, the sweetness exploding across my tongue and making me groan. “How did you know my coffee order?”
“I know everything. I was coming to invite you to the spa with me. I saw Devon and asked him to take over for you today so you don’t have an excuse to back out on me.” She grasped my hand with both of hers. “Please say you’ll come with me. Even if you don’t want to tell me a single thing about your love life. I’d love to spend some time with you.”
For some strange reason, tears peppered my eyes. I tried to play them off and Christina gratefully let me. “Okay. Sure. Let me get ready and then I’ll meet you in the lobby in fifteen minutes. Is that okay?”
She grinned. “Is fifteen minutes going to be enough with all that man muscle in your bed?”
I groaned and backed into my door. Gripping the handle, I realized I was locked out at the same moment the door opened. I stumbled backwards into Luke’s chest and he easily caught me around my waist. My face flared. “Well.”
Luke kept his grip on me and brushed his nose down the crook of my neck. “I figured you locked yourself out. Good morning, Christina.”
“Wow. Wow, wow, wow. You guys are hot together.” She fanned herself. “Good morning, I mean. I’m going to be borrowing your lady for the day. I’m treating her to a spa trip.”
Luke grunted. “Just the two of you?”
I gently elbowed him. “It doesn’t matter who else Christina invites to the spa day she planned.”
“Just the two of us.” Christina grinned. “This is interesting. Are you okay with me grilling Maggie about your relationship today?”
I winced, fully prepared to hear Luke say no or to let her know that we weren’t in a relationship. At least not yet. He shocked me, though.
“Maggie can tell you whatever she wants to about our relationship. Talk her into settling for me, if you can.” Luke backed into the room, taking me with him. “How long do we have until this spa day?”
“Fifteen minutes.” Christina laughed out loud at the cranky grunt Luke released. “Sorry, bud.”
“Fine. We’re closing you out now.” Luke shut the door hard and then spun me around and pinned me to it. “I slept in. Gregor’s going to love your influence on me.”
I ran my hand over the extra beard growth he had coming in. “I could’ve slept about a dozen hours more. The bed is ridiculously too small, though. Or we’re all too big.”
He lowered his mouth to mine and softly kissed me. “We’re all the right size. It’s the bed and this room that’s the issue. I’ll take care of it today.”
I wrapped my arms around his neck. “It’s fine. I don’t mind the room. I can just stay in your cabin if you want me to spend the night.”
“Then we’ll just move your stuff into my cabin.” He trailed kisses across my jaw and nipped my ear. “Because I want.”
It took all my strength to push him away so I could get ready. He stood in the doorway and watched me as I brushed my teeth and hair. Then, he watched me pull on a bra and panties with a very clear erection. I kept glancing at it and blushing. I wanted to crawl back in bed with him and maybe wake up Ryan and Jackson with our movements. Instead, I pulled on a shirt and leggings.
“You’re so fucking sexy, Maggie.” Tugging me into his chest, Luke kissed me with enough passion that my toes curled. When he did let me go, he growled. “You’re spending the night in my cabin tonight and I’m having you for dinner, no matter if Jackson is healed or not.”
I bit my lip and nodded. “That sounds good.”
“Go, baby. Before I fuck up your plans with Christina.”
I chanced kissing him once more and then rushed to plant gentle kisses to both Ryan and Jackson’s cheeks before running out of the room to meet Christina. The stupid grin on my face was embarrassing but there was no getting rid of it.
As soon as Christina saw me, she stood up and laughed. Her smile was bright and happy. “God, you look so happy. I can’t wait to hear everything.”
