“Thanks to Jaelyn, Sanford was able to call off the engagement without any fuss.

I must be really fortunate,” Maggie shared over the phone, her tone reflecting a mixture of relief and gratitude.

Maggie giggled again.

Rosalynn’s laughter rang clear.

“Just keep doing well.

I’m eagerly awaiting my invitation to your wedding.

There was a momentary pause on the line.

“But Rosalynn, what if Sanford’s mother never comes around to the idea of me and Sanford together?”

Maggie’s voice was tinged with concern.

Despite the relief of having dealt with two rivals, Janiya’s steadfast disapproval still loomed large.

Gaining her approval was no small feat.
